Tyson is making it really hard to miss ICE. He is showing flashes of everything we need Okoro to be.

  1. ya if we look at tyson as the okoro replacement it’s really makes what he’s doing look great. sure he’s not the one on one defender okoro is but tyson gives great effort and seems to be willing to shoot it even if he does miss shots which makes a world of difference

  2. I feel like its obvious that Tyson is the better player *right now*

Sure, Ice is a better 1/1 defender but Tyson holds his own and is scrappy and passionate. He’s also two years younger and has much less experience. If he keeps this play up, it’s going to be hard to take him off the court. Definitely seeing shades of Josh Hart.

  3. I’ve seen a bunch of criticism of Tyson in the game threads and I just don’t get it. The kid might make a couple mistakes but he is bringing the energy and working his ass off every night.

  4. This makes me look forward to when everyone is healthy and he and merill is that spark off the bench

  5. I’ve really enjoyed Tyson’s start to the year, it’s not mistake free, but he only has 1 year with limited actual NBA game experience considering he was in the G league a lot of the year. He’s one of the few Cavs that actually shows consistent effort throughout the game and isn’t afraid to shoot. These minutes for him before Strus and Merrill come back will hopefully give him more confidence.

  6. He’s way better than Okoro. Okoro is a liability in the playoffs and completely unplayable.
