The New York Knicks Just Dealt With BLATANT STUPIDITY…

All right, guys. Time to overreact to another Knicks loss as they’re going to go to 0 and2 on this road trip. I didn’t actually see the Heat game, so bear with me. I was in Austin, Texas. But for this box game, I did see it. And man, was it very, very unimpressive to say the least. The second quarter was one of the best quarters the Knicks have played in a long, long time. 45 points, they could not miss. But then after that, they went quiet. Only 20 in the third and 20 in the fourth. So less points in the entire second half than in the second quarter. Now the Knicks missed a lot of freebies. They missed open threes. They missed shots at the rim. They didn’t defend the three ball. Giannis was basically playing one on five. And what I mean by that is all five Knicks defensive players were zoning in on him and it resulted in wide openen threes. So Giannis would either go to the basket, dunk it, lay it in, get fouled, or he’d kick it into a a wide open shooter, or sorry, kick it out to a wide open shooter. And Jaylen Brunson in the first half, I want to say at 23 points, and then he only had 13 points in the second half. It was a very, very quiet 13 points, though. Brunson didn’t have it. He’s also been dealing with an injury that’s been lingering since uh the preseason, and he clearly reagerated it tonight. If you guys watch until the end of this one, Brunson was down on the ground, went into the huddle. He had a discussion with his dad, Rick Brunson, and head coach Mike Brown. And clearly, they were kind of saying like he probably shouldn’t go back in this game. But Brunson, he was tough and he did go back in, which I don’t know why. Like I I get Brunson, he wants to represent the Knicks and he wants to be a leader, but he’s literally just doing his team a disservice to that point. The Knicks weren’t winning this game regardless. That Bucks had all the momentum. They were kind of running away with it. um runs that did come back out and the Knicks tried to make a late push but there was there was no coming back from that third quarter because like if you think about it the second quarter the Knicks were awesome but they still gave up 32 points cuz the pace was so high that the Bucks were still getting points off and you know from an efficiency standpoint like the Knicks are just not going to win games when the opposing teams are shooting 42.4% from three and 55% from the field. It’s honestly crazy the Knicks only lost by 10. Uh the second half was just it was tough to watch, man. Like Carl Anthony Towns, the Knicks have been trying to get him going the entire season. He was two of 12 tonight, 12 rebounds, eight points. Now, I’m not going to sit here and be like, Cat, he’s not that guy. Like, I love Cat. I think him and Brunson are a perfect fit for each other, and I know he’s going to bounce back, but it’s very discouraging. Bro, I can’t talk. Yeah. All right, man. It’s just one of those nights, guys. I go a couple of days not talking about the Knicks on a road trip and I forget how to say words but the Knicks have really tried to get Cat going and it’s just very discouraging because last season you know Carly Towns was awesome in the playoffs he was awesome and then of course there was a bunch of rumors about Kevin Durant a bunch of rumors about Giannis Tennako and it almost feels like that got to Cat’s head and he was even asked about Mike Brown and his role in on the team and he said he didn’t know it’s just these things are really starting to add up and really you got to give credit to the Bucks cuz again numbers of course can be a little bit misleading. You can look at Cat and if you don’t watch the game be like two of 12 oh he sucked tonight. I mean he did but Al Koozma and Miles Turner were phenomenal defensively. They just completely locked down Cat and made every single shot he took tough but there was also several open looks at the rim and at the three-point line that Cat just didn’t make and he normally does. So, I mean, you’re again, you’re not winning games when Cat is two of 12, and you’re not winning games when you’re giving up a bunch of open three-pointers, and you allow Giannis to score the basketball. And the thing about Giannis is he had 37. But it’s the fact that every single time down he was getting a high quality shot or he was getting an open three, kicking it out to a teammate. The Knicks just they don’t have an answer for Giannis. And again, I’m not using injuries as an excuse. I know Bucks fans are going to listen to this and think I am. I’m not at all. But if Mitchell Robinson had played, this would have been a completely different game because I mean, how many people in the NBA can make it tough on Giannis? Like I I literally can’t even think of one. Like, can you guys I don’t think anyone can. But there’s one guy that can at least have a chance. It’s a Mitchell Robinson because he’s seven foot with a massive wingspan and he can jump with Giannis. And he would have at least challenged him at the rim, but you know, Cat’s not doing that. OG is too small. Male’s too small. Yeah, that’s kind of all I got in that, too. It’s just it’s very very frustrating that the Knicks defense in the second half was just absolutely terrible. And then offensively, the ball didn’t move. The ball movement was awesome in the second quarter. That’s why the Knicks scored so many points and and they also just made their shots. I mean, again, a lot of the looks were really the same. It’s just the Knicks happen to make them in the second quarter and they didn’t make them in the in the second half. That was really the problem tonight. Now, the thing about the Heat game is that on League Pass, you got to wait three days to be able to watch a game because obviously I get MSG because I’m from the area. So, I am going to go back and watch that game. I’m not really looking forward to it because I know the Knicks lost. I know Jaylen Brunson had 37 points in that game. And Brunson in the first half was a superhero. You know, the Knicks looked good. They got off to it was a 12-point lead at one point, but then all of a sudden the Bucks just kept crawling and crawling back and it seemed like late in this game the Knicks were going to take over. I mean, Male had a very good game. He ends up finishing the night with 24 points, a of 16, 10 rebounds, six assists. Male was on triple double watch for a lot of this game. Down the stretch with Male and Brunson, you just feel so good. But then you look at Ojanobi who’s three of 11, one of six from three. Carl Towns two of 12. Yander Sam at four of 10. He really kept the Knicks in this game and helped them push away. But another thing about Mike Brown as well, I got to call it Mike Brown because he played 11 guys in the first half and then like late into this game in the second half, he had only played five. So Mike Brown, okay, first half you play Kick, you play Jordan Clarkson, you’re playing all these different guys, Eric Hucky, and then you go away from it in the second half. See, the Knicks, they need to continue to play every single one like the Bucks did. Giannis didn’t even come into this game until what was it? Seven minutes left in the fourth quarter. like the the Bucks went was it six or was it five guys deep off of their bench and then I mean technically the Knicks played more but it seemed like the Bucks had more faith in their bench tonight than the Knicks did. And the strength of the Knicks or at least the strength of the Knicks should be their their depth. They have guys that can do different things that just bring certain skills and packages and they go well with each other. Like I like Sham. I like Tyler Kullik and Hakori. Now Deuce McBride didn’t play tonight. Mitchell Robinson didn’t play tonight. two very important bench players. Josh Hart, I thought was honestly not very good. And the reason why I say that is because teams are going to leave him open and dare him to shoot. And if you want to have an elite offense, the worst thing you could do is plug in a player like Josh Hart onto it or into it rather. And again, teams are just going to basically build up on Brunson and Gat and oh, Josh Hart’s in the corner. Okay, cool. Go ahead and shoot that. And it gets to your head, too. Like imagine you’re playing basketball and every single time you’re wide open in the corner. Like NBA players honestly, well they don’t tend statistically they don’t shoot better obviously with a hand in their face and I’m not. But it just seems like that for Josh Hart whenever there’s he’s wide open he misses it. And there was also some at times at the end of the shot clock where Hart had to shoot a grenade and it didn’t go. So it’s not all Hart’s fault because Mike Brown as the coach should put him into a situation to succeed off of that. Like Tibs would offball screen Hart and then roll him to the basket. So there’s like things that you can do to work around that. It’s not like nuclear physics, but oh my mic is still recording. Okay. But yeah, it’s not nuclear physics, but Mike Brown like second half, the Knicks just didn’t have that same pep, that same step. They didn’t play as many guys. Josh Hart I thought was out there a little bit too long. I’d rather have a Porti because of his size. Like you’re going up against Giannis, okay, put a porti on him and even if a Porti fouls out, just at least make it tough and be physical and go at Giannis. But when you have like like OG and and Male cannot guard Giannis, there’s no one 101 guy in the league that can guard Giannis, but you need a rim protector. And you know, the Knicks tried to sort of gear up at him, but it just resulted in open three and the Bucks happen to make them tonight. Now, in a sevengame series, I think the Knicks would do well against the Bucks because again, they’d have all freaking preparation to be able to come up with something. But just on on like a random freaking Tuesday night at 800 PM in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, like the Knicks just not to say they weren’t really prepared because I mean, you know, this was a close competitive game, but it just seemed like typically when the Knicks need a big shot, it’s Deuce McBride and when the Knicks need sort of like a highlight play that just fires everyone up, it’s Mitchell Robinson that ends up doing that. So, but yeah, that’s kind of all I got. I I really don’t make videos. I don’t like to make videos after losses because they don’t get views and people all they’re going to comment is, “Oh, you’re overreacting. It’s one game out of 82. Like, I get that, but we can’t just sit up here and act like this doesn’t matter. Like, the Knicks need to make these changes and they need to be better. Jaylen Brunson was a superhero and when he wasn’t, the Knicks couldn’t do anything. The defense was bad. Cat was awful. OG was awful. OG had backto-back drives in the second quarter. It was a lefty layup over Portoris off of the drive blew by Koozma. And then after that, he had an and one against Koozma. Like, and then OG just doesn’t be aggressive the whole game. Like, what the hell was Cat doing? I think he had five fouls. Yeah, five fouls. like just a it’s just a game to forget. But hey, it’s okay, guys. It’s a long season. The Knicks aren’t going to win them all. Hopefully, you guys still enjoy the video. And until next time, my friends.

  1. KAT is SOFT and the whole league knows it. The quad is just a built in excuse. Maybe his groin is hurting because he has no Cojones. Trade him to the liberty 🗽 for Jonquel Jones and Stewie. Oh yeah he makes to much! 680 k per game! 8 points GTFOH

  2. The New York Knicks organization has too many flamers working for them. Because who in the scouting team would think carl anthony towns is worth anywhere near the contract that he has

  3. Too many 3's
Kat (and Yabu) should never play the 5, keep them at 4
Kolek should run the second unit, clarkson has been underwhelming
and for the love of god, HUKPORTI AND JEMISON AT THE 5
