Question: Should beers at Cavs’ and Guardians’ games cost more, if it means taxpayers won’t fund stadium repairs?

  1. Just add a ticket tax. I don’t see why people who aren’t going to events in these buildings should be asked to pay for them.

  2. How about billionaires pay for their own fucking vanity products instead of asking “how should the peasants be charged for this?”

  3. Things owned by billionaires shouldn’t be paid for by taxing everybody else, but this is America

  4. If we pay for the stadium we should share in profits from said stadium. The people of Green Bay own the packers we should move to that kind of model where our sports teams give back more to the city instead of pro sports being a little billionaire vanity project. Make our browns fandom give back something to us for real.

  5. You know what I’ll pay for whatever, even a new stadium.

But in doing so you agree that the state must provide local commentary broadcasts for free and without blackouts or exclusions for EVERY game involving a taxpayer funded team.

That’s my price for funding stadiums. I don’t have to deal with fucking ESPN bullshit or whatever random ass announcers on insert streaming service here.

  6. So instead of tax payers paying for the stadium, taxpayers are paying for the stadium?

  7. Everything is sold as expensive as it can be. They don’t charge $100 for a beer, only because it wouldn’t sell. If they think any price increase won’t affect the sales, they will increase and fuck the fans. So spare me of any excuse.

  8. drinks at the cavs are already $20 for a sun cruiser, $20 for a single shot cocktail lmao what more can they be asking us for

  9. These are private businesses owned by private individuals or groups of individuals. They alone collect the profits from these endeavors. They alone should have to pay to support them.

  10. These teams have enough money to fund their own stadiums. They should build and finance it themselves and be glad fans still show up when 2 of your 3 major sports teams newest championship is 60+ years old, the other getting closer to that century mark.

  11. Here’s an idea make the damn builder pay for the repairs. Why should a stadium be breaking?
