And he came up to me and said, ‘Are you OK?’ ‘F— that, do you have the ball?’ He’s like, ‘Yeah.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, let’s go!'”

  2. Yup, I initially thought he just assumed they lost. But then everyone was saying he got hurt so that confused me

  3. The old “I just fucked up so better stay down like I’m injured” move really is universal across sports

  4. This moment, and the previous game when the ball got lost in the lights before he managed to find it again, are those life-altering moments when his legacy hung on the balance of such little things that could have gone either way.

  5. The was the most doubly double I’ve ever seen, and then they were running full speed at each other… we all thought that lol

  6. Kiké was sacrificed to the baseball gods so the Dodgers could win. Thats the story I’m going with. What a game and what a series!

  7. Watching the replay the ball hung up there forever. Even if Pages doesn’t get to it I think Kike catches it. It seems like he had time there to turn around and see where the ball was to catch it.

  8. A fun extra layer to this is that Pages took a lot of heat earlier this year for not being able to chase down a hit that ended Yamamoto’s no hitter in the 9th.

I’d say he made up for it.

  9. ‘if I pretend I just lost my leg, people won’t feel so bad. Oh, we good? Nevermind.’
