NEW Jaylen Waddle Trade Rumors + LATEST Giants Trade Rumors
We are less than 24 hours away from the NFL trade deadline being here. And on today’s show, we got to react to the latest surrounding Jaylen Wadd, the New York Giants players they could be trading, and a whole lot more. Before we do that though, make sure you are subscribed to the channel cuz myself, Andrew Connell, we’re going to be live here on New York Giants Now by Chat Sports tomorrow at 12:00 p.m. Eastern time, 4 hours before the trade deadline, breaking it all down from a Giants perspective, as well as covering all 32 NFL teams. So, if you want the best trade deadline coverage, hit that sub button right now. [Music] I am your host Marshall Green and you are watching New York Giants Now by Chat Sports. We’ll talk about some Giants trade rumors about the players they have, some trade candidates, and um we got to talk about Howie Roseman making a big time deal as you kind of saw the way a team that wants to win operates and where the New York Giants are at and maybe they can get there one day. A major trade going down with the Eagles and the Dolphins. Speaking of the Dolphins, they fired their GM following their loss on Thursday Night Football and there’s been a lot of speculation about does that mean Jaylen Wadd is available? Does that mean that they could be going through a fire sale? We just saw them trade Jaylen Phillips. Well, Ian Rapaort on November 1st following the news of Greer being fired from Miami, he said, quote, “While previously a question about wide receiver Jaylen Wadd was met with a hard no, the team will now do its due diligence and at least consider offers for the star in his prime,” sources say. And I think that this means that they’re just going to listen. I don’t necessarily think that they are going to trade Jaylen Wadd. And it’s fun to speculate about it. The Giants need a receiver. There’s reports coming out of SNY from Connor Hughes that Joe Shane was going to be going big game hunting. And I think that there was a lot of truth to that. But the Giants have lost three games in a row and every single one has been in an embarrassing fashion. And it’s a lot different if you’re two and seven like they are maybe if you were four and five. the Giants were four and five. I would say yeah, go get Jaylen Wadd because you know your GM will be here. I think there’s uncertainty sur or there’s uncertainty surrounding Joe Shane and I don’t think you should even be allowed to go out and make a trade and I don’t even think it’s really going to happen. Adam Sheper said this about Jaylen Wadd at all being traded. Quote, Dolphins would be expected to ask for, in the words of one source, a one plus in any potential trade for Jaylen Wadd. meaning they would believe uh they would have to have to receive a first round pick plus other compensation. A trade for Wadd is considered highly unlikely. And look, I don’t think it’s going to happen at this point. I was all in on Waddle. I was even over willing to overpay just a little bit, but I never really thought it made the most sense for the Miami Dolphins to trade him. He’s just a player on a bad team. And like we’re going through right now, we’re seeing players on our team being mentioned in trade rumors. And I I want to bring this back to why I don’t want Joe Shane to go out and make that move. While I also wrestle with the fact of you should always be trying to add good football players to your team and trading for Jaylen Wadd right now. Even that next general manager or head coach, they’re going to be happy Wadd is on this football team. But if it’s a one plus for Wadd, which you know what I think makes some sense. He’s not a wide receiver one in my opinion. Really good wide receiver two. You have the fifth overall pick. I’m not trading my first round pick when I own pick number five in the NFL draft at this point nine weeks through the season. Maybe a future one, but even then I wouldn’t really like to do that. So, no, I don’t think the Giants will go out and trade for Jaylen Waddle. I think Joe Shane should be able to go out and make a big-time trade for a wide receiver at this point. Look, there’s been some chatter that maybe he’s a little safer than Brian Dable in this regard. And and if that is true, which I I can’t fathom if the New York Giants are picking in the top 10 again, you bring back Joe Shane, who knows? But man, I don’t want him making any more decisions with f future draft capital is I don’t know. But if the Giants do know he’s coming back, then it’s a different conversation because you can’t just let Jackson Dar go out there for the final eight games of the season with the worst supporting cast in the National Football League, which the New York Giants have right now. Like, and it’s disappointing because you have a second round pick in Well Robinson, a third round pick in Jaylen Hyatt, a fourth round pick in Theo Johnson, or a fifth round pick in Johnson, fifth round pick in Bellinger. Like you have players that use premium capital on and and I know Malik Neighbors is hurt and I know Cam Scataboo is hurt. I know I’m kind of all over the place with this, but it’s a sticky conversation. Yeah, Jaylen Wild is a good football player and in theory you should be trying to do whatever it takes to acquire good football players, but you’re stuck in a little bit of a conundrum because you have a GM that you don’t believe in. At least I hope the Giants don’t believe in him and I wouldn’t let him make any more moves, but sounds like they may just be keeping him next year. So, I’ll just ask you, would you trade a first round pick plus for Waddle, type P for trade, type P for pass? At this point, I’ll be shocked if it happens for a couple of different reasons like we’ve talked about. I don’t think the Miami Dolphins are really motivated to go out and trade him. And I don’t really think the New York Giants are in a spot where they could be forking over a major draft capital at this point with the way their GM and really their future is set up at this point. We got to talk about Chris Ave. Reports are coming out around him. Rasheed Shahed as well as some players on the Giants they could be looking to trade away and get back some future draft capital. Before we do that though, I got to give a major shout out to our proud sponsor of today’s show and that is Chubbies. Shout out to Chubbies. They’ve got an awesome deal going on right now. All right. Pro Football Talk said this about the New Orleans Saints. quote, “The current belief is the Saints are seeking a third round pick in a trade for speedy wide receiver Rasheed Shahed.” He also mentioned that it is more likely that they trade uh Shahed than it is Chris Ave at this point. There have been prior reports that the Saints could be working on an extension with a when it comes to Shahed, I’m not trading a third round pick for him. He’s like if Jaylen Hyatt was just better and you can get that player in the NFL draft. Shahed is going to be a free agent at the end of the year as well. So, not only are you trading a day two pick for him if you want him and meet the value of pro football talk, you’re also having to give him more money than you would to a third round receiver. You can take top off the defense, but he’s somewhat limited as well. And I’m tired of the Giants having limited players at the receiver core. Guys that can’t catch, guys are 5 foot8 and Jaylen Hyatt who is limited every single degree. Look, if L is out there, I I go back to the waddle thing. I want to add good football players, but I also don’t want Joe Shane to do anything else to this football team. Um, if he’s back and he knows that, then maybe he can be a little bit more aggressive. I at this point, I don’t see the New York Giants going out and making a big time trade for a wide receiver. They’re not like the Philadelphia Eagles who are competing for another Super Bowl trophy and are willing to push all their chips into the middle of the table and give up a 2026 third round pick to go out and get Jaylen Phillips, an edge rusher that’s going to raise the talent level on that defense. These are the type of moves the Giants should be making in year four of the regime. Instead, we’re talking about a regime that’s potentially going to trade their draft busts for sixth and seventh round picks. And that’s where you’re at. That that the Giants are here. The Philadelphia Eagles are here. Completely different ends of the spectrum. We’re trying to get back a sixth or seventh round pick for Evan Neil. The Eagles are going out and trading a third round pick for an upcoming free agent to win a Lombardi trophy. It It’s It’s disappointing. Um, for Evan Neil, look, I think the Giants and for for Neil, for Hyatt, like they would trade him, I think, for anything at this point. I mean, why not? You’re going to lose him in free agency for nothing. Maybe a team gives him a one-year deal, and that can help a little bit to the compensatory pick formula. Not much. Um, and he’s like, now’s the time. I would say if you can move for a seventh round pick, you do it. Thing is, does a team want him for eight more games this year? and to pay him the contract that he’s on at a rookie scale deal for a first round pick. What a disappointing pick he has been. What a disappointing era for the New York Giants. And Evan Neil is just he is the New York Giants over the last couple of years. For Jaylen Hyatt, I think it’s the same thing. If they get anything back for him, um they would do it. Maybe a little bit more motivation for other teams to trade for Hyatt considering they can have him on the team next year under contract whereas Neil could leave in free agency. I mean, the Giants had Jaylen Hyatt at kicker turner yesterday and he said he hadn’t done that since high school. So, they’re doing anything they can to get any sort of production out of him and maybe even showcase him before tomorrow’s trade deadline. Um, I I don’t see this being turned around uh with him and the Giants. And I think at this point you just trade him. I kind of lean towards also trading Deontay Banks for just about anything. Like I I don’t think he has the mindset of a winner in this league. I think that he wants to beat to his own drum. He wants to do the things he wants to do his way instead of doing whatever it takes to win. And I just don’t think you build a football team around that player. So, I would pretty much trade him for everything. But there is a little voice in the back of my head that says maybe with a new head coach, you can get some talent out of the first round pick, but he’s also on DB coach number two. And he’s on defensive coordinator number two. Like, is it going to be the third DB coach and the third defensive coordinator and the second head coach in four seasons to get the most out of Deontay Banks? I I I don’t know. Maybe you don’t rush to trade him now and you could trade him in the off season, but I think the ship is starting to sail on his ability to be an impact player for the New York Giants. And same thing goes with Russell Wilson. Like I appreciate what he did for this team. I thought he brought a professionalism to them in the offseason. I think he’s been a hell of a teammate. And I think he’s actually been supporting Jackson Dart in a lot better ways than we thought. And it’s just kind of his stick. He’s always on the sideline pumping people up, helping him off the ground. But the Minnesota Vikings call and say, “We’ll give you a seventh round pick for Russell Wilson.” I’m doing that. There’s teams out there like the Vikings that are reportedly looking for a backup veteran quarterback. Um, yeah, you’re not bringing Russ back. Jameus is the QB2 next year behind Dart. If you can get anything for Russ, I’m I’m doing it on Kavon Tibido. Look, I really like Kavon. I think he’s having his best year in the NFL. And I I’ve I’ve said it a thousand times on this show. draft good players, develop them into better players and retain those players. And I think you did draft a good player and I think you have helped Kavon develop a little bit and I think he can be an impact player in this league. I just think it comes down to asset allocation and I also get the fact you’re trying to build an identity with a lot of talent on your defensive line. I just have a hard time believing you can pay Kavon Tibido $80 million. You can pay Brian Burns $150 million. You can pay Dexter Lawrence $100 million who’s also going to want a contract at the end of this year as there’s pretty much no more guaranteed money. And then you’re giving Abdul Carter third pick money and you can’t stop the run. Like you pay the defensive line to get after the passer, but they also have to stop the run. Look, I’m not selling low on Kavon. And if a team like the Niners offers a first round pick, I’m definitely going to listen. Um, and it will be hard for me to say no. But again, I also don’t want Joe Shane making a major decision if I think I’m going to fire him at the end of the year like trading Kavon, who maybe the next GM would want at this point. That’s where you’re at. Like you you’re a bad team. You’re two and seven. You have bad owners. It’s fair to say you have bad ownership. I meant bad front office work, but you you can’t you’re stuck. You can’t improve. you can’t sell cuz no one knows if this guy well I think we all know that this guy is not going to be the guy that leads you to the next level but if he is going to have the job and I don’t know I put out a tweet last night as I steamed on my couch pissed off until 2 a.m. watching the game over again. And the the the thing I have walked away with is the Giants need to fire Joe Shane now. Give Mike Kfka the rest of the year at the head coach spot. That way you can get a jump and a head start on the GM search. That way you don’t fall behind in the head coach search and you can hit the ground running once Black Monday is here in the NFL and coaches are starting to get fired. Um, those are the tough decisions to make. Sometimes you got to make them. The easy decisions are also right there as well. But we’ll see what they do. Trade deadlines tomorrow. I know we covered a lot on today’s show. We’ll talk even more about Big Blue later. So, subscribe and turn those notifications on. [Music]

Will the Giants make a trade before the NFL trade deadline? Type Y for Yes | N for No
None of it matters with Daboll and his staff coaching the giants. Donāt follow them or support them till that situation is dealt with
Brandon Brown. Now!
I would do Jalen Hyatt and Evan Neil and a 2027 second round pick for Jaylen waddle
Make a hard pass for Waddel. Our season is already shot, the team has given up hope, even Sexy Dexi is shutting all through the locker room.
Letās just hope that Dart gets through this season without any battle scars and ends up like Danny Jones was. (Look at DJ now).
P
Give up Neal and Wilson for waddle wouldnāt be a bad move
Trade Neal but not Hyatt.
No
no
The draft is stacked with wr in 2026
Who the hell cares I'm over it at this point
No just get Jordan Tyson trade Slayton
Joe scheon got to get jaxon help asap tre harris someone anyone. We didnt fire anyone so lets try to finish strong starts with a wr
Don't think Giants making a trade, and don`t trust Schoen to make a trade that benefits the team.
It If I had 1 wish..in my ray J voiceš¤£š¤£š¤£
Lane K or Dabo Swinney HC š¤š»
If we can get a wr 1 make a trade use that 5th pick. Don't be short sighted and think of just this season, look at the bangles, they have a 1a and a 1b. We have a blanket in wandel, theo still a good player, Daniel is good a well, elevate lil jordan and replace Hyatt
What kills me about you is that you were on Joe fan club during the draft you loved every pick this last draft now you donāt trust him come on bro
Trade Hyatt & a 2027 2nd RD pick for waddle.
The island of Misfit receivers. š
Fire EVERYONE but SCHOEN! Keep SCHOEN. His 1st 2 drafts were absolute GARBAGE! BUT his last 2 drafts have shown potential & improvement. Keep Schoen heās improving in drafting.
Give it a rest with waddle
Pass
The 1st round pick could be anything. Even a Jaylen Waddle quality WR2
Why not all our 1st round picks have been bust anyways atleast Waddle is a proven player.
P
Banks Hyatt slayton Russ and Neal need to go and Iām willing to give up dex for a blockbuster trade.
I wouldnāt let this regime make any trades. Ride the season out, drop the hammer and start over
im just waiting for breaking news giants fire dabol and shceon
Iāll give them a 2027 first and slayton for waddle šÆ if this team isnāt competitive in 2026 after another draft then idk what will fix it
We have a piece of crap for a GM and a head coach but they would be even more crap if they donāt move Russell Wilson and Evan Neal for at least extra picks..Both are taking up roster spots for NO REASON AT ALL!!
Use the 1st rounder on Peter Woods next spring. Cannot squander that pick.
Yes. Trade…Joe…SCHOEN!
Pass
