I didn’t catch the 3rd period. What lines did Berube run mostly? I’m assuming he finally put Matthews and Willy on a line together but how did the rest look like?

Listening to Stolarz after the game, he said Berube had some choice words to the team after the second period, and what I want to know is why does it take that to motivate these guys to do what they are paid to do? All of them played so much better in the 3rd. Don’t they know that’s how they are supposed to play all the time?
Isn’t that what they practice everyday? They can do it, but I don’t know why that can’t do it all the time.

Remember the game in 2007 when the Leafs were down 3-0 to the Flyers in the third and came back to win in OT, but they really needed to beat them in regulation?

At the end of the third I said to my partner “If they don’t change their pace, there’s no way they’ll get back in this game”.
At the end of the 2nd I said to my Partner “There’s no way they’ll get back into this game”
Leafs in the third: “hold my beer”
Happy we won, but that abyssmal display in the first two periods can NEVER happen again . PLEASE!
