Honestly you could feel it in the game, they held their own against one of if not the best pass rush in the league. Of course they were not perfect but still performed a lot better than I expected. It is a shame that it all gets undermined by their inability to get one yard on multiple occasions but we take the wins where we can get them at this point.

I’ve been preaching these guys have been getting better and better every game! I blame the play calling more than the line for the struggles in the redzone. Just my own opinions though
This is because we are far more focused with getting the ball out quickly and started going Jumbo and incorporating draw plays to help slow down the rush.
Isn’t it pretty bad when over a fourth of your plays result in pressure. What does this look like for good teams?
I know they had 4 sacks but they need context.
Sack #1: Not really a true sack as Stroud ran forward and was brought down after what looked like a slight gain, so it officially counts as a sack but for no loss.
Sack #2: The pocket collapsed and Stroud was taken down. This one is on the offensive line.
Sack #3: Mills held the ball too long while looking for someone in the end zone, this one’s on the QB.
Sack #4: The interior offensive line got beat, so this one is definitely on the O-line.
The play calling is frustrating, and I’m very sick of Caley because of it, but a 27% against the best pass rush in the NFL so outstanding from this unit that I can’t feel anything but optimism.
The blocking scheme is genuinely starting to gel over the last 5 games and there’s no other way to interpret it other than a success from the coaching staff, so far. Slowik could never.
Now if only we’d be more creative and aggressive downfield. You’d think protection would create permission for aggression. Caley could never.
Can we take Caley’s protection and Slowik’s passing designs and mash them together please
CJ was moving the ball against a good defense. If he doesn’t go down, we win that game.
Misleading bc the broncos had no reason to try to put pressure on. They knew mills can’t pass.
Yea the O line is slowly getting better which make it more on Caley play calls. Red zone was atrocious like we didn’t even attempt an out side run, quick slant, shit even a fade to Nico
You could feel that in the game too. Denver has a really good pass rush, so I was always surprised by how well the OLine did in passing situations. We obviously still need to improve at OLine, but it’s good to see Tae and Ingram doing well. Seems like the OLine coach is doing a decent job.
~~Yeah, dude. If old Sean “Bounty Hunter” Peyton’s team doesn’t take CJ out of the game, it’s a W. Probably why he paid to make it happen.~~
Yeah, dude. If CJ stays in, we win.
Why lost that, not primarily, but in part to having to endure about 3 quarters of Davis fucking Mills. CJ wins that game.
