Bam out of bio of the Miami Heat getting the fans fired up from Bam to Boo. B R B R B R B R B R B R B R B R B R B Ryan Bush Florida and will he be able to handle it? He has to trust it. The referees have his back. The defense have to allow the goalender to find the puck uh deal with the traffic on his own and not get frustrated by it. But one thing is for sure, Laura is certainly going to bring that net run presence here in game three. the McDavid line against the Barcom unit to begin game three. Here’s Evan Blousard with a long shot. Cory Perry looking for the rebound. Shoved out of the way by Earl in lineup. I tell you too, as a forward when you get to have a good first shift. There’s just something about it. You touch the puck, you make the play. It wasn’t a high danger play, but you touch the puck, you you made something happen right off the bat. So, it’s a good start there for the Oilers. A game that enters the Panthers zone finds Perry for a shot turned aside by Babski and the puck over the glass 35 seconds in each team with four first period goal. 2-1 Panthers in game one. 3-2 Oilers over the first 20 minutes of game two. Here’s Seth Jones for Florida and on goal. Skinner covers Maran look to get the stick in the Panthers score three goals. Participating and you’ll see the discipline of the Florida Panthers. Gretz talked about it. The boys talked about it the other night in Edmonton after the first period uh during the first period intermission of uh Florida can’t make the parade to the penalty box and especially we talked about it in the first period of not playing four on four against the Oilers because they have the two stars up front where they really dominate. Penalty coming up here. Here’s Bara with a shot score. He scored the last goal of game two in double overtime. He opens the scoring 56 seconds into game three. Oh, there was going to be a penalty call. Lost Arena took a stick right in the face or an elbow by Tricidle and then Hungry on the puck and Skinner slides over and just pulls himself right out of position and Marian the patience he has with the puck to hold on to it. When you get in that situation, Bush is a as a offensive player sometimes guys just want to get rid of it right away but he had the internal clock. I’m going to hold on to it a second. just hold on to it and all of a sudden Skinner goes flying out of the net. Alledo, that has to speak to the confidence that Marian’s playing with right now, right? Because if you’re fighting it, if you’re not feeling it, I got to imagine the first thought would be just get get rid of it as quickly as possible. But right there, the patience, the patience, well, Skinner had no idea where the puck was. It to me it it it looked like almost when there’s a bit of a screen in front of him, he kind of lost sight of where it was and the patience by Marian to put it in and the fast start for the Panthers. Well, Kenny on Q. You talked about the goals fast and furious and periods one in the first two games of this series. This should be icing. A good job there by Hus Molden to negate the icing, but Kau pulls it up the boards. There’s San Bennett who leads the NHL with 13 postseason goals. Pass from Rodriguez was broken up. Oh, Wman. That was a big time play there. Bennett would have had a breakaway. That was an excellent stick there by Walman. [Applause] Now Wman had the puck stripped by Mika. He took a hit from Yanmark. Nate Smith moves it up ice for the Panthers. Here’s Nikol leading one- nothing. Brad Marshan has the last three Panthers goals. He scored in the second period in game two. Then in double overtime winner that so-called third line for Florida has been just absolutely dynamite [Applause] and Marian St. Jones pulls the puck in. Dave Gajivich this is AJ Greer his first appearance in the cup final. Missed the first two games. works it back out to Vula. This line has been outstanding for Florida during the Stanley Cup playoffs. Rear Milk Gajovich shot by Joel Fistadette. Gajovich look to get it out in front. Blocked off by Clingburn and the puck is cleared by Trent Frederick. Two and a half minutes in first period. Brad Baran with his eighth of the postseason penalty calls Florida the early lead. Now McDavid works his way into the Panthers zone. Nugan Hopkins has it taken away by Sam Reinhardt. Now Barov Oilers keep the puck alive and now the Panthers clear the zone. Carter Haggy with Forsler in defenseman cutting to the net and a save with the right pad by Skinner on the redirect by Forsley. [Applause] Puck sent back into the Panther zone. Babski moves it up the boards. H fired in behind the net. Out it comes to Bard at the right point. Here’s Eckle. Evan Brousard gloved by Babski. Bousard 15 shots more than any other player on either side over the first two games. Scramble was something that Skinner was overwhelmed by. Here’s Marian who opened the scoring with the man advantage. David tried Hopkins Perry and Bardaw’s going to be outside. That puck went off of Evan Bousard and the referee uh Wes McCauley helped the linesman out and now they’re having a huddle up here. [Applause] West McCauley, Francis Shir, the referees, Trent Norris, Scott Cherry, the linesman, and they’re going to bring the faceoff back into the faceoff dot in the offensive zone for the Edmonton Oilers. So, a break for them. Good job by the officiating crew to uh chat it up and uh correct the initial call. Same officiating crew as game one. Riceado wins the faceoff. Here’s Brousard. Setting it down low to McDavid trying to center. Blocked off by Forsley. Back out it comes to Booard. Ooilers on the power play with Lundell in the box. Bado for Bard. Now McDavid and the puck rolls down on a deflection to the Edmonton. Spark off with a good defensive stick there. [Applause] 35 seconds gone on the Lell Miner. One lead. Here’s McDavid. Davis puts on the break. Knocked away by Mika. Kept alive by Dry Cidle. Back out it comes to Bruce. Side steps close for Reinan out for Didle. Now McDavid towards the net. Stick save for Bowski. Hopkins works it back out. Bard fires loose and it steps away from Didle. No stick for no stick. He broke it on the shot clock. Here’s Blue Shine. Under a minute to go on the power play for the Oilers. Puck comes back out, but David stopped rebound. Len Hopkins missed it. He came over to play the puck. Cross ice Brushard still without a stick. Nan Hopkins takes the return. Here is Bruce. Brousard moves in, shoots, and that out of play. David was sniffing. He was looking for the loose change, but Forzing was able to scoop it out of harm’s way. Oilers have four shots on the power play. Here’s Clingberg. Second unit out. Pass from Kane. Barov got a stick on it. Wman works it in deep. Back out. It comes for Clingberg looking for the rear Henry. Now Walman. Clingburn. Down to 15 seconds on the penalty. John Clingburn with it. Here’s Walman. And now No penalty for crosschecking and this one will go against the Oilers and it’s going to be a Vander Kane. That’s the penalty that was called in front of the net. What a play here by Clingberg. And what a stop by Babski as Henrique goes to the net. And in fact, here’s that chance again for Djan Hopkins. There’s some room up top, but he just misses to the short side. There was some room. Babroski was down. You hear Hank talk about it a lot on Sergey Babroski moving side to side. He’s down low. The crouch that he has. I mean, you got to think about over the shoulder around the ear area and Newton Hopkins just wasn’t able to make his shot. Love the read on the Clingberg shot pass. That’s all right. That’s when dialed in. There was traffic in front. Babroski knew that Henrique was coming to that back post. That is a real good save early on. Evander Kane sent to the box for crosschecking. Wendell back on the ice. Powered by Florida. Here comes Benny by Skinner. A look at the Geico players on the ice. Panthers on the power play in the series. Two for six. Florida with a one- nothing lead. Brad Marian from Londell and Losen. 56 seconds in one for 26 on the road. Cleared out by Yanmar. Play by Verhagy. Fires it back down. Laid off side. Marian was way offside. Would you do it on purpose just so you can get the top unit out there? I mean, is that is that a tactic? It was so obvious. I got the first goal of the game in game three to end with that final. Hell no. That’s what I thought. Mark sent back around for EClad. Marov out to the point. Nobody covering. Eclad was in deep. Touch penalty killers on the ice for the Oilers. Just under a minute remaining on the Kane Miner. Here’s Matthew Kachchuck. The truck nice off the stick wide. What a play by Kachchuck by Ed block. Kachchuck keeps it alive for Barov couldn’t control but Chuck with it. Here’s Reinhardt back out for Jones. Jeff Jones moves it up the boards for EL down low. Jones half minute to go on the power play. Now Jones back out. Reinhardt in front bar and Skinner covers. Panthers got to go to school on that. I mean recognizing that Steuart Skinner struggles on those plays. There’s been some goals scored where you can get him to freeze and find those back door plays. Reinhardt the open net uh is certainly a huge missed opportunity. Bush, is that as simple as he’s just he’s getting sold on the shot? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Well, in some cases you could be screened. I don’t think he was screened on that one, but shoot Skinner was clear. You have to recognize when there’s a a back post presence. You see it in your peripheral and you must play it as such. But there’s been times in this series where Steuart Skinner simply trusts his def wholeheartedly and those back door plays are available. The Panthers make gets it away. Here’s Bennett. Penalty has expired. Oilers back to full strength. Mc David and D settle off together. Here’s McDavid. Caught off by Nikol out the pass up the board. It’s too far for Bennett. It’s a Florida icing. You got something going there because if you can make the play and obviously the skill level of a guy like Matthew Pachchuck, he can make those type of plays. So, we keep them honest by by showing and selling the shot. And if he freezes and there’s somebody going, you got a pretty good chance at a back door play. Marshan back to retrieve the puck for the Panthers. Held up by Evander Kane and a penalty. Another high stick. That was Kane on Marian. And facing Leon on the other side. They said they do already just 10 years later make fun of some of their hair choices and outfits, guys. Red stuff next, Jackie. We saw the great Paul Coffee too in the in the background there when uh when Connor was meeting those young fellas. So good luck to them and uh amazing story. We had a chance to say hello to James Hagen and O’Brien. They visited our broadcast group prior to the game. Here’s Reinhardt. Works it back out to Eggplant. Two of the prospects from 2014 that Jackie just mentioned. There’s Kachchuck behind the net. Vander Kane back in the box 41 seconds after he returned from serving his initial penalty. Reinhardt kept the puck away from Kulak down low from Jones to Barcom. Darnell Nurse comes over and now Yanmar unable to clear. Nurse pokes it ahead for Yanmar. held it at the line by Jones. Now it’s Ecklad in behind the net. Reinhardt now chunk. 45 seconds remaining on the penalty. Turned aside by Skinner with the puck once again. Good keep in there by Reinhardt. Kicked it off to a stick. Reinhardt without a point in this series. Kane got the stick up on Marian. Their fathers were junior teammates with the Dartmouth Arrows back in 1981. The fathers of Vander Kane and Brad Marshad who threw the penalty. Kane will return in 15 seconds. Panthers with a one nothing lead. Marshan had it stripped with the penalty winding down. Here’s McDavid. Cuts to the middle. Taken away by Smith. Now back the other way it three Oilers get back. penalty expires and with the redirection but Rodriguez and it actually broke his stick. He got a piece of it off of the shot by Rodriguez. That was labeled top corner too. I don’t even think he needed to touch it. I think Skinner was screened on the whole play. At least from my angle. Many men too many men here. See if Florida makes any adjustment. They’ve been trying to go from the half wall and the blue line down. See if they try to go from the goal line out. Try to make some plays. Try to draw in the penalty clears for Edmonton. And again, it’s all about the power play to be able to take what is given and not be predictable and see if those adjustments happen here for Florida. The two-minute event just 15 seconds after the previous penalty had expired. Third straight power play for Florida. 0 for two with four shots. The shot path for the puck clears the zone pass. Excellent play there knowing where the open ice was going to be an echo and drilled it out of the zone. Look at the odds from DraftKings Sportsbook. Here’s Seth Jones into the corner. Kachchuck blocked off by Kulak. Nice play off the boards for Kappa and he moves the puck down ice. Another penalty coming here. We’ll have a power play here in 53 seconds or Arickson the Edmonson forwards. Ecklad in the box for tripping. Here’s for Haggy. Bottled up by Clingberg. Just under a minute remaining on the Edmonson penalty. Team skating for a side. Here’s Bennett now. Pul the defense leading the run down low. Bennett and Clinber. Kennet plays the puck. Bennett couldn’t handle it. That was on the tape. Man would have had an unbelievable chance. What a shift there by Bennett, especially below the goal line. Gave a hit, found the puck, and unfortunately wasn’t able to finish it with the pass to Smith. There’s Wendell. McDavid and five shot have come out for Edmonton. Well couple of nice moves out to Forsley and that shot blocked by Conor McDavid, but controlled by Mika in 10 seconds. Cory Perry serving the too many men. Ben Coner will return. Another nice move by L around. Nice job by Tricado. He is hauled down. Terry back on the ice. Power play for Edmonton for just under a minute. McDavid behind the back pass through and the save by Towski. Puck is clear by the Panthers. What a pass. What a beautiful pass there by McDavid. Looks like there were no options. And he finds Blue Shard. Down to 30 seconds on the power play. Here’s McDavid across the line. Try Sidle. Now Perry back to McDavid. Seth Jones finds the puck and he sends it away from the ice. Penalty time winding down. Eklad will return in 10 seconds with the Panthers leading one- nothing. Born for McDavid puts on the brakes. There’s Lingberg and it’s stripped by Jones. Back hands out and now makes his return. One shot on the power play for the Oilers. Good hit there by Perry. Both teams at full strength. We already have five power plays here in the first period. Nicholas now behind for Londell defended by control of the puck. Pass and now the Wers look to settle it down by Ken hit by retrieves the puck for the Panthers. Now AJ Greer Greer shoots in with a good hit on Greer and played by Bennett looking for in front and now the Oilers come out with it. 6 minutes to go in period one stop behind the net by Babski now to cool a collision in front of the Panthers bench and Rice was going to get that done. pass out in front. Rodriguez couldn’t get it through. Another nice pass there by Matthew Kach for the puck and now it is Kane moving it off and missed the net. Pucker Plex out of play two power play for the seven power plays combined in the first period in game two. Six so far tonight. Ooilers 0 for two. Here comes McDavid. McDavid next to the puck. Works it back out. Bryce kicks it onto a stick. Bryidle to the point. Brousard. Edmonton trailing. One- nothing with the extra attacker. Here’s Nent Hopkins for Bousard. [Applause] Now a save by Mowski. Caught loose in front. Knocked out of trouble. played by Bryid. McDavid broke the stick on that shot. That’s why there wasn’t a lot of steam on it. Bryidle setting it back out for Booard. McDavid has a new stick. Leon Bryidle left wing circle. Cory Perry who tied game two late sending it to overtime. Here’s Bard. Now McDavid. McDavid with some room. Watched by Barkov. Back out for Bousard. Bousard shot. That’s blocked by Barkov. David keeps it alive. Poked away by now. Beautiful feed down low. Barry back behind by Cory Perry. 40 seconds remaining on the power play. Battle level there by McDavid to win that opportunity. Here’s McDavid off the skate. Perry looking for it. McDavid and McDavid keeps it alive. Out for Brouson. Now try to shut one up. Blocked by Reinhardt. Out comes the drive shuttle down for 15 seconds on the power play for Edmonton. Pass across great stick and then kept in the zone by Brousard. Here’s McDavid dropping it all down the zone and the beat will expire. All nine skaters on the ice during that last power play for the Oilers. Everybody played a two-minute shift plus. It remains one- nothing Florida. Just over 3 minutes remaining in period one. The Others have iced it. Especially the length of the power play and penalty killing for both. But if David wanted that puck and he won both battles tough shots and jumped down by Skinner Jones back to a three. Jones pressured by Kane. Now Henry comes in to play the punt. Centering passki down on contact from Arvinson and another penalty upcoming and that jump to go after Victor Arbertson. Pain steps in with Kuck. Both teams 0 for three off the draw. Shot by Schmidt gets blocked. Can it second unit starting the power play for the Florida Panthers here. Here’s Rodriguez out for Sch Smith and now for Haggy. Rodriguez. Evan Rodriguez blocked off by Henrik. Puck comes to Penn now for Haggy with a long shot that gets blocked by Eko. Back out for Schmid into the slot. Rodriguez for Higgy shoots. He scores. The coach decides to play his second unit, which is probably a number one unit on most teams in the National Hockey League. They move this thing around and Carter Verhagy goes post and in puck movement, different looks and the power play and the decision by the coach to start the second unit. They’re up two nothing. Oh, how about Brad March after coming to the bench telling the Oiler bench to players to use your head. Bad penalty by Arbitson. Panthers make him pay. Power play goal. Carter for Haggy. His seventh of the postseason. The Panthers with a goal early in the period and a goal late. Lead the Oilers two nothing. Big hit. Try Sidle on Reinhardt. I mean, they’ve made, I think, four passes perfectly offside here against the Oilers. Has to respect that. If he’s too aggressive there where he get out, maybe that back door plays available, but Marian’s presence has to keep Skinner deep and that’s what opens up the top corner. Terrific shot by Ver Rodriguez and Spit with the assist his fifth assist of the Stanley Cup final. [Applause] Down to a minute 15 on the clock. 1210 Oilers. Panthers with a twogoal advantage. [Applause] Nerva to play the punt on it. Pumps in to keep it alive. Nurse steps up. Final minute of the period. Now AJ Greer settles it down for Florida. Skip off the boards for Maran. Offside back in by Kane. Dangerous play there by Marshamp putting that puck through the middle of the ice. Passion. And you saw dry silence right there on Reinhardt. Two of the most skilled players in the National Hockey League. Broken stick on the shot. Echo deflected out by Losen. Here’s Bousard with 25 seconds. Now Conor Brown with a new stick sent back around by Nikolo. Seth Jones off the boards. Good there by E and Elo. Time winding down. 5 seconds remaining into the right of Skinner. And the first period comes to an end with one final save from Skinner. Glendel just got a pop right into the mouth of Bousard. And now Aander Kane’s looking for Matthew Kachchuck. Fourth power play for Edmonton. Panthers have had four scoring on one. Bryce wins the faceoff on the ice with McDavid. Wow. No new Hopkins on this top unit [Applause] here. McDavid for Walman. Oilers stay on side now. No over to play the puck for Florida. Can’t clear. Wman with it for the Oilers. Here’s Bard now. Wman back over to Bousard. Wman straight away. Wman watched by Nok. Sets up Bard. Save Babroski throws the puck down. Is that not what you wanted? Yep. I think they got to establish that they got to respect it. And once that happens, maybe then everything else can start to open up. And Wman can really shoot it too from the back end. So you got two threats on the back end. Defense can shoot the puck out of power play. with Bush. Just over a minute remaining on the penalty. Wman lost the handle. Cleared once again by Skinner keeps it away from Marian. Marian pressure on Bousard. Now Bard drops it back onto the stick of Nan Hopkins. Here’s Cory Perry. Plex to the boards. Blue Shard with 40 seconds remaining on the Edmonson power play. Ricele finds Echol now. Nan Hopkins with it. See Eol down low. Rice Cidle. Here is Echol for Bousard. Brousard towards the net. Cory Perry scores. Perry cuts the Florida lead to one. Well, give credit to Chris Moff and his staff for making that adjustment of coming out and being a shooting power play right off the bat. And as you mentioned, Bouch, it opens up other plays, but the shot from the point and then the rebound and Cory Perry just opens up those hips and he’s able to find this puck and stop it and get it over and just elevate it past Levi. Great hands. Great hands there by by Perry and good awareness by Bousard. Marian went in front of the potential one-time. Bousard held up, did not shoot it into the shin pad with patience on the next play and the Oilers got their first goal of the game. That is a huge goal for the Oilers. Cory Perry tied game two late [Applause] to overtime and now scores on the power play here in game three. Two-1 lead for the Panthers. Sam Penny got by SP misses the net over two but it’s gone second period with a drive with the shot contact making contact with Skinner and contact in front there’s Nurse aside by Babski Kulakov and Nurse and now Frederick comes in Sam Bennett over for Florida Bench with a lot to say to official Francis Chiron about the contact made against Steuart Skinner saying players in the series. Maran Perry [Applause] Maran with three of the six, Perry with two for Haggy the other. 2-1 Florida on the power play from Brousard and score. 3-1 Panthers right Skinner his first point of the series and it’s a huge goal for the Panthers. Just a minute 20 after the Perry goal. Oh, the quick hands on Sam Reinhardt. Watch the backhand forehand. Throw your hands up top and bury this puck. What a shot. Short side again on Stewart Skinner and then between the legs. Got to make it really difficult Bruce for a goalender as Reinhardt I believe goes five hole on Wman and then elevates it up and over the stick side the shoulder side of Skinner. Yeah, unbelievable play to get it through Wman. No chance for Skinner to see it and you can see his reaction after. Frustrated that he did not find it. Big answer for the Panthers. Barard’s first goal of his last six games. Now Carson out missing it in Well plays the P. Baran breaking. Skinner takes it away for Baran now. Pulak off the boards and out back down by Forsley and now on the stick of Waldman. We heard the Babski chance up in Edmonton. Now it’s Skinner from the Panthers fans here in Sunrise, Florida. Conor Brown looking for the move on Mika. Brown doubles it back out to the point. Good effort there by Brown was blocked by Gajovic. Panthers clear the zone. Now Nurse back up the right side and will retrieve. He’s hit by Adam Henrik. No set works it free. Now Michel reversing it back around for Spit. Smith up the boards and down. There’s Greer [Applause] now. Nurse Redmond stepped into by Greer. Vandovich out in front. Back hand shot. Loose pocket. It’s set out of the zone by Frederick. That play happened. Unfortunately, referee West McCauley had nowhere to go. It looked like the puck was going to go behind the net and it hit him and then Florida’s got a great chance right out in front of Steuart Skinner. Now barked off, defended by Yanmar in behind the net. Kulak couldn’t play it. Rohard does it across to Jones. Alhaggy who scored the second Florida goal loose in front of the stick there capping it on Reinhardt. There’s Jones with it once again. Shoots to the side of the blocker of Skinner. Reinhardt moves it in deep for Haggy. You talked about the strong second periods for Florida in this series. They allowed the early goal to carry but since then all Panthers 17 shots in game one period two and then 16 in period two of game two shot by Marian was blocked by Cllingburn and now quickly up ice it’s Arbitson for pulls it tried to return blocked off by Eklan moves the puck ahead knocked to the ice and goes for the red line. And Kenny, you made mention this was a twoon. Ro Serena’s got a chance to take it, but Sam Bennett’s got energy. He goes forehand, backhand, shovel right up top and buries it on Steuart Skinner on the stick side. Three before goals have been on that area of the net on Steuart Skinner. What a shift boost by Bennett there. Unreal. Shipped for the He just get two big hits and then a breakaway and the finish. Unbelievable. His fourth goal of the series, 14th of the postseason. Nobody with one. But David hit by Eklad for Haggy with the puck. Bennett has four goals in the series. Marzan has four goals in this series. They have both scored in each of the first three games. There’s McDavid looking for Perry knocked out of his own foric back to pick it up. Alice told us this morning with the uh health of this fourth line now. He want to get him a couple of extra minutes in this game. two to three minutes and he is when it has been even shrink he’s had the opportunity to play them by Greer speaking to the fourth line he’s out on the ice with no set and gag obviously when you have a three-goal lead and it’s halfway there’s a lot of time folks left in this game you know Edmonton he got a power play boom and then all of a sudden it’s a twogoal game but you can he has the confidence to play that go line and play four lines very a TV timeout to the right of me the Oiler Ben bench was silent almost a stunned look on everybody on that bench but as we start after the TV timeout McDavid dry settle together and let’s see if they can provide a spark 4-1 lead for the Florida Panthers. And through the crease once again down he makes the stop without his goal stick. Babroski stick got caught on the on that post believe on the net and Bob’s not afraid to do it. I mean he will drop his stick if he’s got to get across recognizing he didn’t he couldn’t pull it away. No stick. Makes a save. Interchangeable. They can pop in and out. McDavid does not. He’s got the old school blades like you were. So, I’m not saying you’re old. I’m just saying the old school. I was old and slow. Yes, that is correct. Robert Haggy for Reinhardt leaned on by McDavid. Reinhardt out of trouble with a tap and far off with a shot which cannot get through. What was trying to say there? He didn’t know what he was trying to say and I don’t I’m not going to argue with the David comes to the inside. Porsley knocks it off his stick by Walman. Wman up the middle for Dryidle. Looking for kind of a poke check and not allowing that puck to go cleanly into the slot area. Now Rodriguez. Here comes Bennett. Four goals in the series looking for number five. Fan that shot. He had the short side up high but he didn’t get all of it. We heard from Paul Maurice with Jackie 999 career coaching wins including postseason only Scotty Bowman and Coenville ahead of Maurice Benville who new head coach of the Anaheim Ducks also had a strong hand here in Florida before Paul Maurice uh took over a year later. certainly did. Blackville led the Blackhawks to three Stanley Cups. The general manager of Scotty’s son, who now is the DM could have thrown it to you, Boo. Yeah, I was calling for it. Oh. Oh, somebody’s shooting water over into the bench. There will be some uh there will be a climb handed out for that. I don’t think there’s any doubt about that. And they’re still doing it. It’s Jake Wman that’s uh that’s doing that. Perry knocked off the puck by Smith. The wet boost almost need the windshield wiper down there. Hand pass play. There we go. Look at Bush. Look at him. Excellent. Headed out. He did. So, all good. Yeah. Water and uh electric outlets aren’t I don’t want to malfunction down here, you know. You know, Boo, you might want to do some research as far as who you got involved with. His great uncle was the raging bull, Jake Lammano. The former champ. Sometimes you got to learn the hard way. It’s the best way to learn. Two and a half to go here in the second period. That’s Jake Walman’s great uncle, not in case you were wondering. 4-1 lead for the Florida Panthers. Boilers ice the puck. But David Tricidal and Kane with a minute and a half remaining in the second period. Florida Panthers leading the Evson Oilers four to one. Here’s Porsley around correct flag moves the puck out of the zone and to the right of Steuart Skinner [Applause] Marshan Vhagy Reinhardt and P with the Florida goals tonight. Two points for Vhagi and Losen who has the puck here looking for Lundell. He was held up by Walman down low for McDavid. Final minute of the period. Wman comes in. Landell as well. Three Oilers, two Panthers. Great opportunity there for nurse with a couple of block checks and he’s going to go. Oh, and then he gets a punch right in the face by Walman. You could easily make this a five on three against the Edmonton Oilers here. Nurse got a couple of healthy shots right in the back and then Walman hit him with a left. If you give tens to a couple of guys, I think there’s a pretty good chance. And now we got Walman and Mika having a conversation. No water this time from Walman. Thank goodness it’s nice and dry down here. First penalty call of the second period. There were eight miners assessed in the first. I mean, we’ve seen some crazy things happen in this National Hockey League season, let alone in these playoffs. For Edmonton, you just need the next one. I mean, that’s that that should be the the the goal, obviously. Then you get it to two and then you sit there, okay, we’re going to get a power play. We know we can score on the power play and all of a sudden, onegoal game. So, look at there’s plenty of hockey here. So, I think uh they should worry about playing right now and not trying to get even or whatever you want to call it. So, I think that needs to be the adjustment for the Evan Oers cuz you’re still in this game. I mean, you got you got the greatest player in the world playing and you got Dry Cidle. You could argue where he is numberwise. So, I think the adjustment for ET has killed this penalty. Florida Panthers with a 4-1 lead and they begin the period on a power play. Darnell Nurse in the box for another minute 10. Kenny Albert Eddie Oldch, Brian Bush, Jackie Redmond, Baron Bank. Game three series tied one a piece. Florida went two nothing after one. Cory Perry scored for Edmonton on the power play early in the second, but then Reinhardt and Bennett extended the Panthers lead to 4-1. Florida, the defending Stanley Cup champs, their third consecutive season in the Cup final. They won it on home ice here last year in game seven over these Oilers. Ed looking for their first championship since 1990. McDavid out here sniffing for an opportunity. Anytime his team gets the puck, he could just take off and put some pressure or create a chance. And Captain would have held on that puck a second longer. Might be able to make a direct pass to McDavid. [Applause] Now Maran off his stick kept alive by Losin. Nurse getting set to return. Power play comes to an end. No shots for Florida. And now the Oilers back to full strength. Trailing by three. 18 and a half remaining as Mika fires the puck in. [Applause] Here’s Marian. Puck comes out of the zone and then off the skate from the referee West McCalling. Good start to the period for the Oilers. Okay, that penalty and goal and an icing call here. Looks like Wowman should have got one cuz he popped him in the beak as well. But go back to game two. The early high stick from Evander Keen off their footing as well. Backer eight penalties called in the first period here tonight. Picked aside by Babski. Now Arvinson back out to the point for Clingberg. And now it’s Bryce. Leon Bryle without a shot over the first two periods. That is a minus two. Taken away by Bennett. Here’s Spit leading the rush with Kach. Kept it away from Kach [Applause] one which led to the OTGWG. as Eddie would say. And now Skinner puts the puck over the glass. Six power play for Florida. Panthers one for five. Here’s Better off the post. Sam Bed already has a goal tonight. His league leading 14th of the playoffs. Here he comes again. Now Smith, long shot glove by Skinner. Off the post and out for Skinner. Smith with a shot. Another save by Skinner. A minute 32 remaining on the penalty being served by Evander Gate. Watch as a shot is in route. You can see Wman right there. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Faceoff win by Rodriguez. Here’s Spit. Now Bennett across to Verhagy. Back out to Nate Smith. Sam Bennett. Oh, the redirect by Verhigi. Blocked. Got a shot off the stick of Verhigi. Stopped by Skinner. Bman with a great shot block. Saved the goal. Here’s Bent once again. Shot by Rodriguez. Pissed the net in. Bennett with it for Florida. Off the mark on that attempt and the puck into the netting. look to get even the physical part of it. Panthers working down low to Barov. Under a minute to go on the Pendington penalty. Oh, what a pass. The pass right setting up. Power play. 5-1 Panthers. [Music] Well, a question was asked this morning to Paul Maurice about Sam Reinhardt and the lack of looks that he’s had on the power play so far in this series. And Paul Maurice joked around and said, “Well, maybe he’s a decoy.” Look at the attention that Reinhardt is getting and to recognize that with that pressure, the backside would be open. Terrific feed by Reinhardt. An easy putaway for eggplot. Here it is. Boo. You talk about the attention. Watch what happens. McDavid’s there. Koulac goes out and Eklan finds his pocket. Just absolutely lets that third go and Steuart Skinner’s night is over. Beautifully designed. Timing was perfect and a breakdown in coverage there for the Edmonton Oilers where you had two guys go to one, somebody is open and unfortunately for Skinner and the Oilers, it was Aaron Ecklad on the weak side. Skinner replaced by Calvin Pickard who has a 6 and0 record during the Stanley Cup playoffs. Following the power play goal off the stick of Eggplant to make it 51 Panthers [Applause] for the foul. There’s loin and back into the Edmonson zone. First shot on Pickard. Stick the side lid off the boards by Kane. Racing back is Mika. Here’s Conor Brown for Edmonton. Back out to the right side. Clingberg shot gets blocked. Close the arena with the shot clock. Working away from Maran by Ekko. 4 minutes period. Now 5-1 Florida after the first two games. Both went to overtime. Tricado dropping it back. Here’s Kane. Blocked off by Forsley. Kept in by Clingberg. Here’s Conor Brown to the net. Oh, the save by ground with a back hand and was stopped. And now Forsley lost an edge able to work the puck in deep. Unfortunately for Brown, he wasn’t able to elevate the puck on the back hand. It looked like Babroski went for a poke check or at least a sweep a sweep with the stick and Brown avoided the stick but just wasn’t able to elevate it cuz he had a ton of room up top. Yanmar pulls the punch ahead. Password was behind Arbertson. Here’s Spit back into the Edmonton zone. Tell you what, you better have your head up up there. Y just punched Clear right in the back of the head. And now Bulakov missed opportunity there. He’s done it a couple I mean he’s done it more than a few times, right? Very active stick even on plays around the net. He’ll even swing it all the way out to the knob of his stick to support, you know, to to intercept passes from behind the goal line. Very active with the goal stick. Barbaroski is this the seventh power play for Florida tonight. Panthers two for six. Yanmark in the box for Ruffing. Back to play the puck. Now Kak Rodriguez. Now Bennett comes in for Hegy. His pass picked off. Hopkins hesitated and that leads to an Edmonton offside and then nurse and Marian come together. A look at the odds at the top of your screen. But offensively, as you saw on the graphic, Smith has five assists in this series. He’s the sixth defenseman in league history with at least five assists over the first three games of the Stanley Cup final. [Applause] Paul Coffee on the Edmonson bench is one of the others. Pass broken up. Power play continues for Florida. Jones picked out by Pickard on the redirect by Barov looking for the stick of Kach. 45 seconds remaining on the Yanmark Miner. The others on that list with Smid and Paul Coffee, Dennis Parkman, Pat Stapleton, Eddie Bush, and Harry Murray back in 1918. [Applause] I think Tiger had his poster on his wall as a youngster. Good old Mummer. Yeah, good enough. Spit with that last shot attempt. Bummer. He had six assists over the first three games of the Cup final. puck cleared up the boards and down by Eol with 13 minutes remaining in regulation and the Panthers on top five to one. Here’s Kent once again for Paul Maurice in Winnipeg and now in Florida first season with the Panthers. Now Marian penalty has expired. Oh, nurse was coming across there and he was looking to get a piece of Marian and he saw him at the last second. They scored at least five 11 times during this postseason in 20 games, six team in NHL history. Brett’s team probably had the other five, right? There’s a good chance. I know the 84 85 team certainly was one of them. Guaranteed. You faced them on numerous occasions. They might give up six, but unfortunately if they wanted to score eight, Bush, they would be able to. It’s a goalie’s dream to have a team score five or more. I can tell you that. Eight in there. A good play there for McDavid. There’s a power play for the Oilers. Here’s Brousard. with Edmonson trailing 5-1. Speaking of Marshan, came the first player in NHL history to score an overtime goal and then an opening minute goal in the following game in the Stanley Cup final. He’s in the box here as the Oilers continue on the power play. Dry side of give and go taken away by Mika now. McDavid chasing it down. Brushardina taking a run at McDavid. Bousard for McDavid. McDavid slides it across and a blockman. No check got in front of it. Cleared by Nikol, you were on the perfect angle there. Looked like Wman made the right play and it looked like Babroski might have lost his net a little bit. Absolutely, Edzo. That whole glove side was wide open. Nosk saved a goal. Walman when he pulled it back, Babroski was stuck on his on that blocker side post. [Applause] Oh, pin balls back toward Babroski following the attempt to clear by Barov. Held in by Kulak. 35 seconds remaining on the power play for the Oilers. Clingburn Hopkins moves it down low. Back out for Clingburn. Burn shot blocker save forski and Kane hit by puck off the back of the cage comes out in front with it and he shot blocked by Forsley and Forsley unable to get to it. Kept in by Kulak. Penalty time winding down now. Forsling gets it out looking after a tough win and just for and game two and game three have been what they’ve been pretty much put together just dynamite these last two games. Kuck fishes the net. Bennett over to play the puck for Florida. You’re absolutely right, Eddie. They have been outstanding. We want the cup again. It’s only game three. Frederick taking a run at Oh yeah, now he got just cross check Bennett. He’ll get sick and now Bennett’s going to get eaten. That was clear and nurse. We’re just going to start seeing 10 minutes getting handed out. Gajovich at Nurse to the left of your screen throwing punches. Smith’s helmet has come off. He’s tangling with Conor Brown. Divic still going at it with Nurse Holding tight. He’s holding tight there. There’s Bennett and Frederick. Nurse and Gajin continue to go at it. couple of rights from Gajovich and Nurse with an uppercut. You got Schmidt and Brown to the left. Yajimovic is smiling during this fight and the officials just going to let these guys tire themselves out regardless of the outcome. You got Cory Perry, everybody on that bench for the Oilers and they separate on their own. [Applause] challenging for the officials, but I think they did one heck of a job there. Trent Frederick, Matias Cole. There’s the punch by Frederick. No penalty. Not there. This is the penalty. He shatters his stick right in the ribs of Bennett. And now all heck breaks loose. Watch Darnell Nurse come out of nowhere and hit Greer right there. Then everybody pretty much finds a partner. Yeah, EO didn’t know what to do there. Just career grabbed him and then Gajovich and Nurse, they danced for at least two plus minutes. I mean, there is still 9 and 1/2 minutes left to go in this game. That’s a heck of a battle by those two guys, Gajadich and Nurse. You keep doing that, we’re going to make this, you know, 6, seven, 8 to one, whatever, whatever it is. You got the number one power play unit out there for Florida. They have already scored on the power play twice in tonight’s game. There’s Seth Jones. Now, Sam Reinhardt. Lot of empty space on both benches after the penalties that were assessed and several players on both sides sent to their respective locker room. Nine minutes remaining. 5-1 Florida. There’s Barov deflected by Reinhardt. Comes out of the zone. And now Kachchuck will hit Barov with the pass for Haggy. Marina Reinhardt. Two points a piece tonight. Marsh open the scoring early. Now 56 seconds in the Chuck deflects it back out. Cross past Jones. One of the Edmonton players without a stick. Stop by Migi. Stop by Picker. That was Blue Shard as Brown gave him his stick. Here’s Yanmar coming in one on three. Pass picked off by Marian. A good steal there by P. It might have had a breakaway there. Marian didn’t have a stick down. There’s Marian. tries to put a move on Twinber with it. [Applause] Cory Perry with the only Edmonton goal tonight. McDavid and Dry Sidle have been kept off the score sheet. For Wman going at it, separated by one of the linesmen. That’s Brent Moore. Good here for Hegy. Back out for Marian. picked off by Captain. That’ll be expired. Cory Perry makes his return. Seven and a half to go in the third. Panthers with a 5-1 lead after losing game one in Edmonton in overtime, winning game two in double overtime. Number 14, all Florida here tonight. A good save there off of Perry offski. Brousard with a shot blocked by the stick of Rodri. As Bush said earlier, I am old. That’s all that uh that’s all that equals. I didn’t say that. That’s not what I said. So, thank you. Uh, congrats. Way to go, man. You’re the best. So, the 12th person to appear on 1,000 English, national NHL telecasts in the United States and Canada, thanks to Tony Miller, who runs the unnecessary sports research site on social media and keeps track of those numbers. Great teammates and uh makes it so fun and want to do it. I think you won it all. Barkov hit to the boards by Kane. Blocked aside by Babroski. And now Verhagy controls the puck for Florida. Back around for Seth Jones. Verhagy moves the puck down on Kard with a chop right on Verhagy. Don’t think any Oh yes, they did catch it. And I think uh a little bit earlier just with you know I mean penalties I think that are very controllable. But as look Gret said it after period one of game two back in Edmonton and we touched on it a bit in that first period in game two. If Edmonton’s going to wear out a path to the penalty box and they’re going to try to play the way that you know the Florida Panthers can, you got to just play like you pick your spots and what have you. But I I think I mean discipline that would probably be the first thing Kenny Longwinded I think discipline. There’s Reinhardt stopped by Pickard cleared out by the Oilers. I think what’s troubling. There we go. Behind the play again. Now you got Wman. That’s Kachchuck. I believe was holding it off and then Walman was going at him this way. And the same thing it didn’t happen for Florida back in period one of two where the parade that the penalty box was there in Edmonton was just toying with them. It’s a five on three for the Panthers for another minute. Here’s Smid now Jones. We hit five minutes remaining. Back out to Dave Schmid. Carter Haggy. Now Jeff Seth Jones once again. Two man advantage for the Panthers who lead five to one. They work the puck around and now a shot by Rodriguez. Blocked. Quinnberg got in front of that attempt. Now Verhagy cross ice broken up and cleared by Matasmark. [Applause] 10 power plays for the Florida Panthers tonight. Looks like Paul Maurice is uh protecting his top power play guys. Oh, a couple of the showers already sends Nok out onto the ice. Here’s Jones with a shot and that winds up in the netting. Oh, that cross check by Kappa. And I don’t think you’re going to see McDavid or Dryside along the ice the rest of the game. I I mean, at least you shouldn’t a lot of it tonight. A lack of discipline without question. Panthers have been on the power play for over 16 minutes. Nearly a full period of tonight’s game. Two minutes for cross checking in attended in this combo. Two man advantage continues. Rodriguez scores. Evan Rodriguez makes it 615. Their third power play goal. [Music] [Applause] Well, this game is over in a couple of different ways. Number 42 and Rodriguez having a conversation. He said, “Get to the middle of the ice and pass it to me and I’m going to go short side on Picker. [Applause] as Leon Chryido looks on. Second of the postseason for Evan Rodriguez, who led the Panthers in last year’s Stanley Cup final with seven points. Florida now three for 10 on the power play and they continue on the man advantage. Three and a half to go. Forsling shoots in. Cleared by Pat Coulson. Saw Tricado on the Edmonton bench. He had a point in the last eight games. McDavid in seven straight. Both held off the score sheet tonight as Koolak. Oh, what a hit behind the play. Lost the rain and took a run at Koulak was looking to get even. When you think about everything that’s taking place really from the middle of the second period on Dry Cidle’s out there and McDavid. Here comes Kico goes in backhand shot with the puck. You surprised they’re out there? I am. I am. After two and a half remaining, Tricidle now brushard with it. Try Sidle’s uh right in front of me. I thought Schmid had a chance to line up Tricle if he really wanted to. He let him off the hook. I mean, he really had a chance to to clobber him and did not. [Applause] You mention you run the risk when you have those guys out there. Well, especially when you see the guys, I mean, like, you know, Bennett was targeted, but Chuck was as well. Talk about all the penalties in those conducts. 85 minutes in penalties for Edmonton. That’s the most by one team in a Stanley Cup final game since 1986, Montreal and Calgary. uh without question one of the leading candidates for the most valuable play of the cops fight trophy in these playoffs brought by Brousard turned aside by Babski. Top SN won by Conor McDavid last year at a losing cause as time winds down here in Sunrise, Florida. Game four here on Thursday night. Florida Panthers are going to take a two games to one lead after dropping the series opener. Mundell was looking for Bousard. Bousard up ended up and then Montell looked like he was wanting to take a piece of Bard and one minute left to go in this Stanley Cup final game three 45 seconds. Fans on their feet here in Sunrise. Two-point nights for Bhagi. Close to Arentart and Rodriguez. Panthers have now scored nine of the last 11 goals in this series. Here’s Nicola. 15 seconds. A penaltyfilled game. Panthers scored three of their six on the power play as Cory Perry is now going at it with Nico Mika as time winds down and Florida takes a few games to one lead as the rats hit the ice. It’s a tradition here since Nok Perry 1996. England didn’t want to fight Perry and Nosk says, “You know what? I’m going to jump in there.” And Cory Perry, the elder skatesman in this series, not afraid to get involved. And Mika starts fencing with Brown. And then Mikola turns as Brown wants to have a conversation. And now Perry and Rodriguez being separated by the official. [Applause] Panthers win it six to one. Coming up after the break, the NHL on TNT postgame show presented by Vanda Pharmaceuticals. For Eddie, Brian Bush, Jackie Redmond, and Darren Pang. I’m Kenny Albert. William and the king.

  1. Still have all the Finals games on my dvr! And I have rewatched them! Wish I could sync our Cats announcers over, over Eddie Bozoczyk and company. ❤️🐈‍⬛

  2. Cats Adm I need you to put on your fadora hat to find your inner Indiana Jones and go looking in your archives for the Whalers-Panthers match back in 96 and by the way that Bennet goal still hits like crack

  3. This game blows my mind. I can't comprehend how Oilers were just like, "yeah, we'll blow this one cause we're pissy" like there were any games to throw away in the playoffs. Crazy dude.
