Good morning. Wake up. It’s trade deadline day and the Bengals have already made a deal. They’re sending Logan Wilson, the veteran linebacker, to the Dallas Cowboys for a seventh round pick. Look, this isn’t surprising. Logan Wilson wanted it out. We knew that. And the Dallas Cowboys were reportedly interested in the Wyoming Cowboy. And look, this Bengals team, they needed to get Wilson’s contract off the books. So, getting a seventh round pick, getting that contract, he’s under a contract for the next two years off the books, it made sense. They benched him in favor of Barrett Carter. And while I think for Cowboys fans out there at least that Logan Wilson was still the Bengals best linebacker, they had moved on. They wanted to move on to and get to the Carter Knight era. Demetrius Knight and Barrett Carter, the two rookies they drafted. So when that happens, guess what? Get that contract off the books. This is a good deal for the Bengals because they had moved on from Logan. And it’s good deal for Logan and the Cowboys because Dallas needed help at linebacker. Logan Wilson can still play.
