BREAKING: Browns TRADING With Chicago Bears… Andrew Berry Strikes On NFL Trade Deadline Day
[Music] [Music] Breaking news, Browns fans. The Cleveland Browns are finalizing a trade that sends Joe Tryion Shoyinka to the Chicago Bears. Everybody, welcome into the Browns report. I am your host, Joey Odonu. It is trade deadline day, ladies and gentlemen. We were told the Cleveland Browns would be buyers rather than sellers. But here they are selling one of our defensive linemen. And we have so much depth at that position. We’re going to get into that very soon. But this is why you subscribe to the Browns report, ladies and gentlemen. When breaking news like this hits, I’ve got you covered. I’ll hop on here instantly. We’re going to give you all the details. We’re going to talk about it from a analytical standpoint and also a fan perspective because I am a Browns fan myself. We’re so close to 58,000 subscribers. You guys are the best for that. 535 away. Hit that big red subscribe button. It is free to do so. And I’m here for you every single day with Browns news and content. Especially when news breaks like this. We get it out fast. We get it out for you. You want to be the smartest Browns fan in the room. Hit that subscribe button. Here are the trade details, ladies and gentlemen. What are we giving the Chicago Bears? What I like is that it’s an NFC team. Not someone we have to worry about too much except we will face the Chicago Bears later this season, ladies and gentlemen. And they have one of our own now. One of our edges, Joe Triion, Shyena, and a seventhround pick this year. Cleveland gets a sixthround pick back from the Chicago Bears. And so you get some draft capital, a little bit of compensation by giving up Troyena, who hadn’t really made much of an impact for the Cleveland Browns this season. He’s just played 31 snaps, I believe, is his total. So Cleveland gets paid and gives up a place who is relatively expendable. Be the professor for me. Browns fans, are you a fan of this trade? Give it a grade. Great. Andrew Barry’s first move of Tuesday, deadline day. You know how the grading scale works. An A, a B, a C, a D, or an F. Comment that letter grade in the comments section below. Browns fans, be the judge. Curious what you guys think about this move. I mean, Cleveland had made three trades before today, and we’ve talked about those. Joe Flacco. We got a fifth round pick for Cam Robinson. We acquired from the Houston Texans. And of course, we swapped corners with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Bringing in Tyson Campbell, who’s looked pretty solid, honestly so far. That’s when we gave up a sixth round pick. We get one for Joe Triion Shoinka. Now, give it a grade in that comment section. Why I think this is good for the Cleveland Browns. The Browns defensive line room is deep, ladies and gentlemen. I mean, there is so much depth at that position. And now that Mike Hall Jr. is able to play, you see him behind Mason Graham there on that depth chart. He hadn’t played up until the Patriots game. He started practicing. It was weird. We didn’t see him. We’ve seen him now. Alex Wright has been balling out. Malik Collins had been balling out. Isaiah Maguire as well. Shelby Harris, you name it, we got it on the defensive line. And so Joe Triion Shyena was probably one of the most expendable pieces on that interior or on the edge I should say and Cleveland getting a sixth that sounds pretty good to me. They did not have a sixth round pick as I mentioned because of a trade they made with the Jaguars very recently. So now you are able to earn back that sixth and it’s looking pretty good. You you get it from the Bears and look at the picks that the Andrew Barry and the Browns have acquired. Are you kidding me? We have our own picks from rounds one through five, obviously, and now we’ve added a first from Jacksonville, added a fifth from Las Vegas, added a fifth from Cincinnati, just gained that sixth round pick, and of course a seventh that Seattle had given us. We’ll see if that’s the pick that Cleveland is giving Chicago. Waiting to see because we had two sevenths, um, three really in total. And so now you’ll wait and see what the Cleveland Browns get. But that is a lot of draft picks they have acquired. We’re talking 10 at least for Andrew Barry and the Browns. Let’s go crushed the NFL draft again. This is where I actually give credit to Andrew Barry because they smoked it. Last year’s NFL draft, even though we failed to draft an offensive lineman or wide receiver, the players we did draft are incredible. Mason Graham making an impact on the defensive line. He’s not necessarily a stat sheet stuffer, but he is a national title winning Michigan man who stuffs the run consistently. We got both Shador Sanders and Dylan Gabriel. Let’s wait and see if Shadore can be the guy. I’m not seeing it from Gabriel, but what I am seeing is Harold Fannon Jr. being a reception machine, emerging as one of the best rookie tight ends in the league. Carson Swisser is an absolute dog. He is a legitimate defensive rookie of the year candidate. We hope he’s healthy soon. Quinn Sean Judkins, a legitimate offensive rookie of the year candidate. He’s running hard, strong, violent. Love what I’m seeing from QJ. Dylan Samson as well will start to work in that mix. Let’s see if the Browns deal Jerome Ford. And it really is a rookie running back show in Cleveland. Isaiah Bond as well having to step up early in a wide receiver room that’s looking pretty depleted. But credit Barry for some of those picks, specifically Swisser, Judkins, Graham, Fannon. You got to love it. The other thing about Joe Triion Showa is he was on a contract year. So making him all the more expendable. Do you really think the Cleveland Browns are going to be able to retain him or would resign him when the depth is as deep as I showed you on the defensive line? I don’t think so. And so the a being able to get a sixth is really a W in my opinion. That deal was one year’s pretty cheap as well under $5 million. And so you talk about the word expendable sounds like that to me. Why the Bears would make this move? Well, they needed some defensive line help. they just suffered an injury on that uh side of the field and they’ve accumulated five wins this season. You know, the Bears figure, hey, we need to go out make a move. And so Cleveland having so much on their defensive line, why not give up a piece that we’re not going to use that much? We haven’t been using that much. And other guys on that front have been balling for your Cleveland Browns, ladies and gentlemen. Of course, Miles Garrett as well. We got to show him some love. Five sacks against the Patriots in the last game he played. I mean, it’s unbelievable. It really is. You don’t need try on showinka. PF ranked the Browns defensive lineman. And when you see where they are, you’re going to see just how deep we are. Not only is Miles Garrett ranked literally first the best defensive lineman in football, Alex Wright has earned the number seven spot for the interior or for the edge I should say. Malik Collins on the interior has right this is the second best interior pass rusher in the league. I mean this is based on grades this season win rates pressures. The Browns have been absolutely balling. Mason Graham’s down to 53 at the moment but again he’s not really a stat sheet shuffer stuffer. his impact is sort of felt stuffing the run and getting to the quarterback a little bit more as of lately. So, we are perfectly set and we got another pick on draft day, ladies and gentlemen. Before we wrap up here and talk about what else Cleveland could do on trade deadline day, I’m super hyped to tell you that this episode is brought to you by Prize Picks. The hard-hitting football action is even better with prize picks. The weather might be changing, but the feeling of being right never gets old. Download the app today and use code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. That is code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. Prize picks. It is good to be right, Browns fans. The first breaking news nugget of the day came here in the afternoon. It’s about 200 p.m. Eastern time right now in Cleveland. And Joe Trion Shuyena is a Chicago Bear. Hopefully the Browns go out and acquire someone. We were told they would be buyers by Adam Shfter. Adam, I I don’t know. I don’t think I don’t think Andrew Barry’s done just yet. That’s why you hit that subscribe button because we are here for you whenever that move happens. But if they sit there with their hands fingers twirling, well, we’re going to get on here and rant about that as well. Will it be the Browns final move of the day? The big question we’re all wondering after shipping out Trion Shyena. And if we’re getting calls on defensive linemen that we don’t necessarily need, well, the Browns are absolutely going to feel that and build up some more draft picks. So, this is why I told you we’d be both buyers and sellers. A new report though, Mary Kay says the Browns are not in the market for a wide receiver. This one’s kind of shocking to me. I mean, we’re going to talk about how bad the wide receivers are in a future video because right now, the position as a whole, the group, the way it ranks, it’s pretty dreadful, and I think they absolutely should be getting a wide receiver before that 400 p.m. Eastern deadline hits today. Ladies and gentlemen, I’ll be kind of upset if we don’t. I am glad that Cedric Tilman is back and healthy and will play for the Cleveland Browns. That will give us a boost, but it does not excuse the fact that we need some more help in that room. Offensive line as well. We desperately need some help. Gabriel not cutting it right now with the lack of good offense. Um, and play calling from Stansancy, which is going to change. Folks, if you want the Cleveland Browns to make a big move, smash the like button. Like the video so the Browns make a good move, a move that gets you fired up, a player we bring in that gets you excited. like the video to make that happen. Andrew Barry, I’m sure he’ll go and check the like count. Hit the like button. Make sure we do it. You don’t want to jinx it. Let’s get a good move before 400 p.m. Eastern. Thank you so much for tuning in to this edition of the Browns Report. You are a diehard fan. Joe who? Never heard of him
A
B
Why’d we even have him on the team to begin with?
B, because I'm trying to Be positive
C-
D
They have not had success drafting anyone below the 3rd round .
Why did you list Sanders before Gabriel?
They need OL help and WR help. Why didn’t they go for anything in the trade.
It’s a F what are you going to do with a 6th round pick when you need a lineman and a decent receiver try doing that pure idiot
C = average
Mostly late picks, so let's hope there are some gems left.
Who? hahaha
I defended you but I’m not going to lie I’m starting to dislike the captions you make and the way you make any and everything you say sounds like sumthin 🤦🏽♂️ reminds me of Denzel Washington talking 😂 ….
Berry you have Watson dillion just trade sander because he not getting any playing time on field stefanski do not want sander just trade him ok
F. We gave away a player and a 7 round pick and got a 6 round pick , big deal should not have given away a pick
Whoopty dooo
What about the C/G player from the Raiders?….Only 22…4th rounder would be a steal
C😊
never heard of him, but trading to a team we have to play is not smart they will know the play book
I agree the draft was good best in a long time but the Flacco trade and this one not so good, trading players to teams you are going to play makes no sense they have your playbook now
Joe who?
