How it feels to “miss out” on another washed mid “WR2”

How it feels watching austin and wilson get 1 or 0 combined catches every other week
I agree but be ready, this sub is going to come after you lol

If youre referring to Meyers, I would say that is a fairly inaccurate assessment. He definitely is a WR2 and seems early to be calling him washed
I can’t believe we didn’t go after the guy who gets a vast majority of his production from the slot when we normally don’t have a slot WR on the field.
Yeah because I’m so excited to see MVS drop balls for us
Jakobi Meyers is neither of those things? But I’m glad you’re happy with our current crop of skill players, because CA3 Roman Wilson Jonnu Smith Friermuth are not guys you’re winning a playoff game with as significant contributors lol
if you’re referring to Jakobi Meyers then this is a somewhat inaccurate statement.
Meyers isn’t washed but glad we didn’t pay that price for him.
can’t call someone washed if they play for the raiders. just a god awful team lol
The thing people miss on mid season trades is that you don’t get the peak version of the traded player. You get a version that’s downgraded until they learn to play with their new team. Sometimes half a season isn’t enough to make an impact. You need a special player to come in mid season and change your team, so a lot of time trading for a mid WR doesn’t net much more than rolling with the guys you have.
Agree to disagree. I think Jakobi has been languishing there and we’ll see him come back to being a solid receiver with the Jags.
You’re gonna love MVS
I’ll be honest I haven’t been following the trade deadline that closely. Are there rumors that we are interested in going after a WR? Is there anything else that we are suspected to do?
I don’t care what your opinion on it is I’m just trying to get caught up in the conversation
Yeah I’m so glad we didn’t get jakobi that would have been a disaster.
While i have the same reaction, Jakobi Meyers is far from washed. That is just ignorant.
They don’t have enough snaps for the WR’s they have. I’m glad they passed.
CA3 and Muth are both shaping up to be WR2 in this offense
My issue is the same as last year. If our WR1 stays healthy, an Arthur Smith offense works great with the WR1 drawing double teams and letting our TEs and RBs do the bulk of the receiving. However, if that WR1 goes down, it’s essentially season over at that point. The rest of our WRs are barely worth dedicating a CB3 or CB4 to, let alone being capable of drawing a double team. The whole system falls apart if you can’t at least pretend your WRs are threatening.
No position outside of QB1 should end your entire season if they get injured, but I’d argue that’s the boat we’re in at WR.
Moncrief gonna ball out soon, just wait
I guess I’m in the minority. The price tag seemed so low. He seems like much more than MVS.
Oh well. Get that 9-8?
Quarterback > wr.
With good qb we can throw to a bunch of different wr anyway
