Lamar Odom was a crackhead. Klay got fucked just like the rest of the city and team. He’s playing bad because the Mavericks don’t have a PG and he specifically signed with the Mavericks because they HAD the best in the business. Another reason Nico is a fucking dumb piece of shit.

I think he’s just washed without a playmaker but I wouldn’t even blame him for sandbagging. He didn’t sign up for this shit, total false advertisement on the organization’s part.
Terrible comparison
We have seen him thrive just before Luka was traded. With Luka traded it will be hard for him to utilize his shooting prowess.
Wild comparison with no basis for it. Klays just a bad fit. He’s not off using crack.
Without the threat of a skilled, driving offensive powerhouse (cough) his role does not fit with what we now have.
I hope we trade him to a competent team, he doesn’t deserve this in his twilight years. Dude signed with us to play with Luka and the rest is history. Fire Nico, sell the team, yada yada yada…
I have yet to see a play that actually uses him as a catch and shoot player. They keep putting him In situations that makes him dribble dribble dribble or they keep giving him grenades to shoot. I swear he’s dribbling more now than he did during his prime
You guys forget he’s a gradual improvement shooter. As the season goes on, he goes hot mid season to the end until the playoffs. Much tougher for Klay without a playmaker. He’s a catch and shoot guy. We don’t even run plays for him.
Lamar gave no fucks and wasted Dirks final years. Klay got screwed, he knows he’s not the same guy but he came thinking Luka was going to get him the open looks he can absolutely still knock down.
Klay is washed and has nobody to set him up.
I mean if you just pay attention to the looks Klay is getting it’s pretty understandable why he’s playing like shit.
Even when Luka was here it was going to be a different style of play for Klay to get used to relative to his time in GS.
Now, though? The man is playing without a PG for the foreseeable future lol. Klay has *never* been a guy that is able to create for himself. I truly don’t see how the offense is going to change to the benefit of Klay.
Hopefully some team in need of a sharpshooter realizes that Klay is simply on a bad offense for his strengths and trades for him.
I feel bad too cause Klay has been such a good vet for the team and did a lot in preseason to help the vibes. Alas, he is yet another person who got absolutely boned by Nico.

Aside from the fact the team literally isn’t built for klay to be effective, I’d also spend most of my time focusing on the fact that im dating Megan the stallion. Idgaf if I shoot 12% and count out every game, at least I get to go home earlier to her and if I get cut that’s just free money to be at home with my dog and my girl, oh and did I tell you I, klay Thompson have 4 rings?
Thompson starts slow every year. Granted this year it’s especially bad, but the roster construction certainly isn’t doing him any favors.
Yeah you have a rookie forced to play as Luka as your playmaker. He’s was past his prime but he can still contribute if you have a decent point guard.
