Miami Dolphins Get Calls For Jaylen Waddle But Do NOTHING At NFL Trade Deadline
What’s going on in guys? Tolin here with you and thanks for checking out the channel. The trade deadline comes, the trade deadline goes. The Miami Dolphins make no more moves. No Bradley Chub, no Minka Fitzpatrick, no Jaylen Wadd, the low move that they make at the deadline. Of course, you guys know Jaylen Phillips yesterday traded to the Philadelphia Eagles for a third round pick and uh the rest of the roster will remain intact as the Dolphins uh do not move on from any of their other players, which look, I’m I’m not mad about it. I’m not upset about it. I’m pretty numb to this season already. Um because you know this season feels like it’s inevitably going to crash and burn already as it is and they’ll be time to make these moves. I mean the Jaylen Phillips one probably was the one with the most pressure to get done just because of the timeline of it all. You know maybe there are others that feel like hey Wadd can go have an amazing year and then you could deal him in the off season. The reports were uh from several reporters nationally. Um Adam Shfter, despite getting calls on Jaylen Wadd and Bradley Chub, the Dolphins did not make a deal before the deadline, opted to hold on to both. Uh Jordan Schultz, the Broncos, and a few other teams reached out and monitored the Dolphins about Jaylen Wadd, but no deal got done. Miami’s asking price was simply too high. Uh Benjamin Albbright reports the Dolphins wanted a first and more for Jaylen Waddle and teams weren’t willing to uh to part with that for Jaylen Wadd. And I think that probably would have been the most surprising thing of today. Um and probably would have gotten the Dolphins the best hall. Would they have would have just getting a first sufficed in giving up Jaylen Waddle? I don’t know. probably depends on the team that you’re doing it with and if there’s a chance that, you know, maybe was it going to be a bottom of the barrel first round pick, maybe a team that was willing to risk it a little bit more. The Bradley Chub thing, I I I don’t know simply what people were going to expect to get from him based on his age and injury past. I think you you stack up as many assets as you can. Sure. Even if it’s a a fourth, a fifth. Um, but you know, there is a semblance of the Dolphins do need to have, I guess, a team for the rest of the year. And then probably the one I was most surprised didn’t happen and didn’t seem like it had a whole ton of traction on was Minka Fitzpatrick. Um, just because the Minka trade, first of all, Chris Greer’s gone. You got to know that he’s got a special affinity for Minka because it was one of his first picks and he gets him back and was fired up. that that was kind of his, you know, lipstick on the pig. That was the Jaylen Ramsay situation. But you you got this feeling like he’s not thrilled to be here, right? Like this isn’t one of these situations where this has ever really been a great marriage and you would have thought like, hey, if he goes and you can find somebody else to pursue him. But then again, like what is the ask for Minka these days? Like what are you expecting to get for him? But I get the Dolphin fan who is frustrated because you saw today the Jets basically threw dynamite into their franchise. Completely blew it up. They traded Quinnon Williams for a second and a first. Second this year and the better of the Cowboys Packers picks from the Micah Parson’s trade. So, they get that and then they trade sauce Garner for two first round picks with the uh Indianapolis Colts who go all in and decide that they’re going to push some chips to the table. And so I guess the thing that’s probably frustrating from the Dolphins perspective is okay, the Jets have now realized they’re cooked and they’re just completely taking a a bomb to their franchise and they’re going to try and reset. See what they can do. The Dolphins are already sitting in this position very clearly behind the Bills, very clearly behind the Patriots. And you know, again, we’re kind of just stuck in this what feels a little rudderless with the Miami Dolphins. You know, they made such a big deal about firing Chris Greer. And I’m not here to tell you that I want Chris Greer around. I’m I’m I’m glad that they’ve moved on from each other and the Dolphins are in this place. But the thing that’s strange about it is, you know, people around the team were making it seem like, oh, Champ Kelly is going to be working the phones. You know, Chris Greer wasn’t proactive about it and that this new GM, he is he has the edict. Go make deals. Go make things happen. Go get us some assets and collect. and it just, you know, so you’re just expecting a little a little bit more action. But true to the Dolphins form, you know, when you expect something, they will uh they will underwhelm you. They will underwhelm you in what they’re bringing back. So, I don’t know what would have been the best move as far as like resetting all of it or what would have been the right thing because look, I think if Jaylen Wadd, if they do continue to crash and burn and Jaylen Wadd can have a good year. I do think that that’s somebody you can still probably flip to somebody and get a pretty hefty amount in the off season. There’s not this great deal of pressure. You don’t want to feel like you’re selling low on him because he is just going to beef up his numbers you would think as the year goes on. So that’s okay. Uh doesn’t appear like they were really considering Devon Achan. Doesn’t appear that they were were going to move off anybody super super young. The Chubes one’s uh just surprising because that felt like the most common name that we had heard out of anybody. Um, but now that Jaylen Phillips is gone, you know, do you want to completely empty the cupboard of of everybody when it comes to pass rush help, you know, unless again you’re going to get your socks knocked off by one of these deals. That’s that’s probably why they did what they did. But I it it’s it’s hard not to sit here at the end of the deadline be given the impression that the organization was given an edict to sell off and really they just didn’t do that much. You know, like they they they traded Jaylen Phillips, took on a brunt of his salary to get the deal done and facilitate. So you still had to even take it on the chin a little bit, whatever. Um, and all you all and all you let you’re left with is this third round pick from the Eagles. So, just uh just a strange thing that that we’re sitting here and it just feels like out of all the teams in the division right now, they’re just the murkiest because, you know, McDaniel still around. Is this Champ Kelly going to be sticking around? He He didn’t really get this big impression of him like, “All right, this guy’s aggressive. this guy. I guess we kind of got the feeling of like it feels more like the way that he operated is, hey, if you get one that’s too good to be true, then make the deal. Otherwise, you know, you’re kind of a placeholder here. You’re not re you’re not really in charge. And everybody kind of made it seem like, oh, this guy, he’s come in here. He’s fairly new. He’s a guy that’s trusted. It’s going to be his front office. And I don’t know, it it doesn’t it doesn’t really feel that way. It it kind of felt like he was more of a babysitter and this was some framework and the one deal that he made, you know, wasn’t like a whoa. It was it was it was pretty on the nose. Bradley Chub did uh post on Instagram afterwards a montage of himself in Dolphin’s garb. So that’s nice. you know, he seems, I guess, that hey, he’s he’s sticking around for uh for whatever, however much longer in the midst of all this. He’s got like a little collage of all of his Dolphins photos and he’s sticking around, which cool. I mean, like, I don’t have anything against Bradley Chub. It’s it’s again, this isn’t this isn’t one of those things where I’m losing my mind over it. I just kind of I kind of shrugged my shoulders because it’s like, oh yeah, yeah, yeah. They made this they finally made the move. They finally moved on from Chris Greer, but didn’t really but and and part of the reason was people made it seem like part of the reason was is because Chris Greer wasn’t going to do anything at the deadline and the Dolphins still had a quiet deadline, especially com, you know, comparing to the Jets who are ready to just completely blow it to smithetherreens and be in a spot. And I, you know, I don’t know, maybe the Dolphins still in their delusional mind think that there’s going to be some kind of a bounceback here and they’re not going to need to to to blow this thing skyhigh. I don’t know why they would think that. I don’t know how they would think that, but yeah, I mean, this is uh, you know, certainly an underwhelming day. I just kind it kind of it felt that way, you know, I was just like sitting there and I’m watching and there was there was buzz about like the the Dolphins and the Broncos that they were the Broncos seemed like the team that was tied to Jaylen Waddle the most. You could see that they want to, you know, probably, you know, add more weapons, but alas, you know, no uh no no dice for Miami or anywhere they’re going. Um, and then we’ll see. We’ll see, you know, what this young team can do with the rest of the season. Can there be any sign of light at the end of the tunnel? Can there be any of that? Um, and then like who the hell’s in charge of all of this? Like cuz it just feels like pretty much everybody is just lame duck or just placeholding right now until they can actually get to the people they want to take over the rebuild of this name.
Miami Dolphins finish their trade deadline merely trading Jaelan Phillips. There was a lot of noise around Jaylen Waddle and Bradley Chubb. Minkah Fitzpatrick sticks around. The Jets blow it all up.

They blew the first oportunity to show real commitment to improve, but Kelly did nothing, why: I think the reason is Ross, I don't even think Kelly wants to stay as GM any longer, he is just collecting checks and seeing which team will offer him something, this team is a lost cause
They never said they were pushing a Fire Sale at the deadline. The reset will be in the off-season.
Baby sitter, provisional nanny… you nailed it Tobin
why did you guys have to help out the stupid Eagles though? ๐
Meanwhile. THOUSANDS OF TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THE BILLS GAME NOV 9TH. THUNDERSTORMS ARE PREDICTED FOR GAME , but shit stadium will be not filled AGAIN. This is embarrassing
Nobody wants stinky tuna fish. Couldn't give em away.
Chubb and Minkah have no value worth getting…what will you get a 5th and 6th for either. Waddel in miami eyes is good but who giving up (2 picks) for him.
I had no problem with keeping waddle had no problem with nothing we have picks to get young talent
Whoโs in charge? The interim GM? Lol why would he care. Heโs not going to be there.
Have you thought that maybe team's were not offering anything worth a crap for chubb or waddle, if so then you don't do it
Achane is the only player that merits any attention from other teams Waddle is not elite good at best.
Dear God everything the Miami dolphins do is a complete disaster
I wish you would cover the raiders too
Stupid fcks can't blame Grier for doing nothing at trading deadline it was there call and they botched that also
It seems like they are trying to do a soft reset instead to doing it the right way.
F the dolphins, 25 years of shiteโฆ. Iโm done, I am so DONE!!!!
Dolphins ๐ข๐ข๐ขrefuses to clean house ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎwhile New York Jets do so and now own NFL Draft forever ๐ข๐ข๐ข with 6 first round draft picks ๐ณ in by 2028.

Dolphins ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎgoing to be last in AFC East forever ๐ณ ๐ ๐คฆif Jets load up with excellent players.
Dolphins must trade Tua, Archane, Waddle, Fitzpatrick and others to stock up on draft picks ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ.
Everybody must go ๐ถโโ๏ธ ๐ ๐ฏ for draft picks to properly execute a Super Bowl Championship dynastic rebuild.
The vision must be to win Super Bowl Championships every year.
Playing for a wildcard playoff birth and second in AFC East is very small goal. ๐ข๐ข๐ข The original sin of 2019 rebuild.
We must THINK ๐ค bigger this time.
Fans should just stop showing up to the games. ๐ฏ, x ๐ฏ. The only way to pressure Ross to sell or clean house. Champ is not a good GM. Worse to bad. And not bad to worse
Howie Rise clone is what we need.
Winning now will only bury them more. Jets in the driver's seat. They will be one good coach away from being very good with all the draft capital
I stopped wearing dolphins gear
