I think the team should just embrace Borgonzi as the sole mouthpiece of the Titans Front Office. After today’s presser, I feel like he was extremely honest and candid about the state of the team. He seems to be a guy who has a plan and I can see the qualities that made him valued in KC. This is year 1 of a rebuild and we all knew this season had a good chance of being ugly. Hopefully the ugly part of the rebuild doesn’t last long and this is the guy that will turn this team around.
Thought it was a decent press conference in the sense it felt pretty open. Was nice to hear him acknowledge fanbase, trades, simmons and even talking about his role vs Chads.
Wasn’t sure I completely understood comments on Jarvis but I think it was vague because he was trying not to paint him in negative light.. gut tells me Jarvis must have expressed enough frustration with losing and coaches that it was getting to be a distraction and taking away from those teammates trying to lead through the losses.
BorGodzi!
Trust in Borgonzi he should be running the show instead of shady ass Chad Brinker fire that guy into the sun
“One of the things my that was really appealing to me when I took this job was the passion that this fan base has…”.
Not sure that I would cite fan base passion as a strength of the organization. The stadium is typically filled with 25% or more opposing fans and has rarely filled up the stadium over the past 15 years. I would argue we have a generally apathetic fan base (present Reddit company excluded), even compared to places that have had less success.
What a fucking joke.
The advertisements being larger than the team logo says it all.
And folks that’s why we are having a fire sale to get rid of any remaining talent we may have…oh and would anybody be interested in season tickets in our new concert venue?
Love this from Borgonzi. This was much needed, some transparency!
I still see people obsessed with hating Brinker nonstop without having any clue who he is or what he does.
I can’t wrap my head around the criticism that he has been too involved with the press conferences while transitioning this to Borgonzi. Like everyone says he is a snake and hides in the back and blames everyone else for his problems, but he’s put himself front and center through all of this so nobody can make any mistake that he has been heavily involved and responsible for bringing on Borgonzi. He’s doing the opposite of what everyone wants to hate him for by very publicly putting his stamp on this FO, what am I missing that I actually think this is a good thing for accountability, especially now that we see Borgonzi running with this solo?
I have no idea if he is good at being President of Football Operations so I am 1000% not defending his job or anything but I actually appreciate that his face has been plastered everywhere because I know who is accountable for who we are today and where we’re going
Lots of “ums”
He says he’s been part of some teams where the season was so bad it was hard to come to work. He was with the Chiefs from 2009-2024. In that time, the Chiefs had two losing seasons, 3 Super Bowls, and averaged 10 wins.
He can make his point about not hating his job without stretching the truth.
I like him better than I have any other person that has sit there and answered questions on behalf of the franchise.
The results aren’t there yet but I didn’t feel bullshitted.
I’m convinced it’s coaching as much as anything. Need a coach that can coach the players he has not mold them into what he would like. Even Jeff Fisher wanted to turn players into what he wanted. He took the Air out of McNair and Steve would still will a way to win on offense when he needed to. MV built a good culture but ran guys into the ground.
Need a good update in coaches and let them coach a couple years.
There’s two minutes of a lot of words where absolutely nothing was said.
I really hope that over time he can give me a reason to get up and be excited about Sunday
This is the first time this season I’ve actually been encouraged by something from this team. It’s clear this roster sucks but at least we have an upward trajectory. The past few years it felt like the roster was okay but we weren’t headed in a better direction
Con-stan-za!!
I like Borginzi. I just wish Brinker and Amy get the fuck out of his way. zero input from them two. If Amy wants to be involved let it be with the stadium and fan experience, Brinker whatever but nothing with personnel. Hopefully Amy learned that she needs to let go of control after the Vrabel situation
The fact that everyone is fine with that wrinkled tablecloth speaks volumes about this organization.
Borgonzi won me over today. I surrender to the Borg
