ESPN’s power rankings have the bulls at 8, below the 76ers who they beat last night.

It’s funny how we’ve been one of the best teams in the nba thus far and all they can talk about is Isaac Okoro’s struggles. Pretty random.

Not surprising considering that we were second-best for most of that game. We need to keep winning convincingly for a while to be considered legit and I don’t mind that
Proof of the irrelevancy of their “analysis”. So many interesting stories and stat lines, yet they choose to highlight Okoro’s shooting %…
Don’t worry about power rankings. I prefer the team stays underdogs. Always good to have a chip on the shoulder.
I said there’s a couple years ago when everybody got up in arms about the Bulls having the best record in basketball, but ESPN wasn’t talking about them enough. It really made me feel like the bulls have become a poverty franchise where our fans are crying for attention.
Your post is not exactly that but I think you’re ignoring what power rankings are. They are opinion based on past results and future projections of the team. Yes, in the first two weeks of the season, we have been rather impressive but long-term Philly looks like the better team. They were also up 24 points on us the majority of the game we don’t have a go to scorer. They have three of them. These are not wild takes so you really shouldn’t be offended by these power rankings.
If you had told me before the season that after 3 weeks we would be ranked 8th, I would have laughed at you.
So let’s not get too ahead of ourselves.
8th is reasonable. Let’s not get delusional
Even being ranked 8th is much higher than anybody thought we would be at this point.
Not to be a wet blanket but I feel like the Sixers handed that game when Embiid decided to ball hog and take most of the shots. Still I think this team is much better than most people believe.
Nothing to worry about here. It’s so early in the season. Just enjoy the ride.
This teams on a goddamn warpath
It took a last second 3 and the 76ers going cold for 6 straight minutes for us to win. I think we are ranked fine.
I couldn’t care less about anything ESPN says about any of my favorite sports team. They are sports engagement farmers.
I think you have to consider we sucked for so long, we even sucked last year. So there is a large part of the NBA community that thinks this might be a fluke, and they are waiting for the collapse. And I think that is fair. But if we get about 20 games in and the Bulls are still in a similar position, then you have to give them their flowers and respect. It would be dumb not to…
I think its ok for power rankings to be skeptical of an early season surge from a team that has been bang average for a few seasons. Also….who gives a shit about power rankings?? GO BULLS
When they sleep on you, tuck them in
Honestly eight seems fair, and so does being below Philly. We still have to prove this success is sustainable
I mean we also got outplayed for about 47 minutes and 57 seconds by them, with Embiid on a minutes limit. And he was a *problem* for us.
I don’t have an issue with it, Philly looks better than us.
ESPN is bullshit
Honestly, 8 seems fair
Bro we all expected us to be buns, how is 8th, 7 games into the season not insane?
It makes sense to me I think the general consensuses were playing above our heads right now and I think that’s true
I like flying under the radar, less pressure
yes we beat them last night
do you think we beat them 4/7 games though
do you think embid and maxy will combine for less than 10p in the second half every game. or do we count on embid having knee issues to win.
the reality is we are a good team not a great team. we will win single games against top teams but i dont think we can last a playoff series against true contenders yet. and thats not a knock on this team its way better than anyone of us expected imo we are 2 years ahead of where i expected us to be. the future is bright bulls fans thats what matters. We arent going in to the next 5 years with a bleak outlook it will only get better from here on out. thats where my excitement is at.
Who gives a shit
Specific to Okoro, he went 0-8 the first two games. Since then he’s shooting 49% overall, 40% from 3. He’s not here for offense but he is far from incompetent on that front and you can easily see the effect of his hustle on D.
