We shot FORTY FREE THROWS, I don’t wanna hear shit about the refs. We played like shit and deserved to lose in the humiliating way we lost.
Refs were horrible but they weren’t the only ones that were completely disorganized in the 4th
Can’t blame anything on the refs other than killing the pace and making it a boring game to watch. Both teams got a bad whistle.

We genuinely didn’t deserve to win this game. Stupid plays, our best player playing way below his standard offensively, we didn’t deserve to win. We shot 40 free throws. I’m not even mad at Julian. It’s fucking Julian. This was a super a winnable game.

Laker fan here coming in peace, I expected a good game but refball on both sides made this shit frustrating as fuck, I don’t even feel good right now even after a win because Smart almost gave me a heart attack.
Way too many whistles on both sides. Hopefully Fox returns Friday.
We definitely missed the scoring punch off the bench of Dylan Harper and his playmaking ability.
We could have also been more aggressive attacking Luka since he was in foul trouble as well.
We lacked urgency in the 4th when it was winning time. As a young team, they’re still learning.
Fox will settle us during games like these. He can also take the burden off the young guys.

Nah, Wemby doesn’t play in the post, Castle turning the ball over multiple times (and led the league in TOs), Champagnie cuts and drives when he’s wide open from 3. Super inconsistent in all aspects. Barnes made it. Devin made it. Lindy made it. He can’t.
We lost both of our PGs and the backup center we have is Olynyk who is only slightly better than Biyombo. Wemby after all that training regressed back to when he had his blood clot on offense. He went full steam on the Mavs and turned off the engine on this game and the Suns. The best players out there were KJ, Jeremy, and Lindy who on his 15 minutes hit both of his 3s
We deserved to lose this and many more games down the line until this team figure it out what’s going on. All the hype, all the overreaction about the Spurs being good now we’re back to square one again

Obviously Castle is not good as a point guard. Impressed with Sochan in his first game of the season. Sochan plus Barnes is an amazing rotation at power forward.
No, this team is terrible at shooting and as long as they can’t shoot, they won’t win.
With the defensive strategy on Wemby in the last two games, shouldn’t our response be to have him set up in the low post? They will obviously swarm him with players but that packs the defense into the paint. We shot well from 3.
The refs were God awful and probably set basketball back 20 years.
As far as the refs go, they shouldn’t allow Smart to sucker them. That play where ( I believe we were down by two) and the Lakers were inbounding under the Spurs basket and Champagnie touched him and he fell forward…. Crucial play.
Tbf, the refs gave SAS a couple chances to pull it out at the end.
Just a gross slog of foul calls on both ends all game.
We deserved to lose with the amount of turnovers we had, missed shots, missed opportunities at the glass, and just not playing well in general. Definitely serveral areas of opportunity for us. But I’m not even frustrated about the loss. Yeah it sucks but fucking 3 hours of watching a free throw competition is just dumb af and these refs are def gonna hear about it from their colleagues. (Or they should at least. They’ll probably end up being patted on the back and told ‘you did the right thing’)
The fourth quarter alone was damn near an hour.

The real problem is not having even a decent center as a backup for Wemby. Ayton destroyed the second line. Playing lineups with no PG at all also wasn’t great.
They can win that game, they did this to themselves. Sloppy game, low percentage shots, shoot them FTs
