NHL Highlights | Flames vs. Blue Jackets – November 5, 2025

through a game. Puck is dropped and Cadrick can breathe easy. 1,000 in the NHL. Coronado puts the head down on the backand protects that puck. Coronado swings to the line. Hubo his shot scores. Morgan Frost and the Flames are up to a one- nothing lead. [Music] [Applause] On a night like this, Matt Coronado showing all sorts of confidence here. I loved it. Trying to get away from Charlie Coyle, the real good defensive forward. And there’s the long shot deflected in by Frost right in front. That’s what Brian Huska has been talking about for a while now. Get to the front of the net. Wow, that’s nicely done. getting good body position in front of Proarov. Well done, if you will. They’re off to a good start tonight in Cadri. I like how they talked about that too, John. They made sure they they were aware of that and let’s not do what we did to Michael B. We to the line and Greens a little contact there. Back and scores. Two nothing early. Calgary a hot start with Greavves and Michael Bman. Let’s watch just to the left of the goalender Greavves. Here comes Backman. He’s kind of knocked into the goaler from Warenski and then I don’t know if Greavves really got set again or found the puck. I think he was set but he never found the puck again and Coleman just whips it to the front of the net. Contact on Dustin Wolf. Mayo couldn’t put one on and Morgan Frost to open the scoring. Under a minute into this one, carries up ice. Great move. Oh, Frost back in the post. He drew a penalty and nearly a followup play by Knob as that puck comes all the way amazing. Look at Frost go past the defenseman and an opportunity shortanded for the Jackets and Wol scoop that away from Monahan who came right down Main Street. But what we saw so many times with the Flames. Watch this release. It’s not the hardest release. He’s just trying to spot a place. He’s just trying to put it somewhere. Great pass by Coyle. But Shawn Monahan learned on the power play down low. Coronado and Barby driving out to Cry top of the circle. Coronado some room short side off the side of the net. Maybe a piece of the shoulder of Anderson. Just out of the reach affair, but but he catches up to it in the corner. Wanted to go back to Rasmus Anderson, but Lun Jenner ruined that idea. Now Marenko short-handed shot scores. Second short-handed breakaway. Marenko finds the back of the net here on the power play. It’s down low and he’s from a bad angle, but there might have been a little bit of room and here’s a turnover by Farby. Jenner gets it perfectly to Marenko. He goes five hole. That’s a goal scorer goal. That’s a six of the season as well. And look how confidently he put that five hole on Dustin Wolf. He is having such a great season for the Blue Jays. s in front of the Columbus bench. Flames changing. Severson moved it up. Ventily stops. Tipped on. Great save, Wolf as he took one. Ventil stops up and spots Wood coming right through the middle and the redirect. That is perfectly reaps that around. Hanley turned it over. Johnson shoots. Point blank. Terrific save. Wolf has had a number of intight chances to stop. None better than that one on Johnson. He’ll have to cut back onto Hanley up to Coronado. Now Sharon Govich takes over. He was run into by Fabro. Coronado to Sharon Govich. I thought he had a lane along the boards but Fabro cut him off nicely and took away that opportunity for a split. You talk about paying the price. Hanzac really skating himself right to the front of the net off the sideboards. Hanick set up again. Jammed at it. One crack and then two. And Green’s able to keep it out down low. Line. Watch Hanzac hard on the puck. That’s how you don’t give up on pucks. Keep going. Youngsters just continues to drive and use his size. He really bumped up this summer and it’s really Coronado trying to take it away. Ventily on the outside spots Wood threw it to him and a piece from Wol I think to keep that out. Well, we’ve seen this connection earlier tonight. Fanty to Wood. Watch this play and Dustin Wolf just with the end of the goalie stick gets that one. Oh, that was First period has flown by. Cadry the man of the night onto Zary. He’s got Barby two on one. He shoots blocker stopped by Greavves and he pushed it away from Fairb’s reach every night and that is why he has enjoyed the success in the National Hockey League he has all the way to game 1000 and Severson just kept it in. Cylinger to Severson one-time block and then a stop by Wolfe on Prov who found the puck late include themselves in the offense. Severson with the first shot. It’s blocked, but that’s Prov, the defensive coming in and right off the left shoulder. Thomas going all the way back. They got the long change. They’re making sure they have personnel out there onto Jenner’s stick now. Ventil stop. He got the rebound as well. The play right here. Here’s a long stretch pass. Beautiful tip play by Jenner. Goes right to Fanty. So many opportunities by this young player. He gets around Hanley and it looks like he tries to go five hole as well. He sends himself around a little hook there. Jackets come up with it. Resky was coming in from the line. This could be numbers for Calgary. Fairby in Cry. Shoot. Scores. [Music] What a way to celebrate 1,000 games. one. Here’s the opportunity. There’s a mis connection with Winsky. Watch this fairbye pass. Perfect. Wood is a defenseman in that case. And oh my gosh, we mentioned John Kadri, I’m sure, needed to do something to spark this guy’s. These guys after it up the boards. Christensen across. Lombberg might get there. He did. Off his sticks up finds Clank. Another oddman rush. Twoon one plays. Panka shoots. Scores. Cry. Then Clapka. Backto back goes for the Flames round and he just chips it by Mayo. Then it’s out. Adam Clapka and Sharon Govich. Twoon one. Wisely on the off wing. Adam Clapka beats the young goalender and it’s a 4-1 lead. Just stressing the Binsky and good to see Sha Monahan back in in good shape. Marenko right to the net. Blocker stopped by Wol. Did he ever hold his ground? adaptive quickness. Watch his play. How he gets around Hanley. Then with that 6’3 reach, he’s going to try and go back. Going back after that puck. Work to the line. Fabro. Now over off the post. Pro struck iron on that trapper post. Wolf with a huge third period. And when he can’t get it, his best friend does. Hubo angles to Eager now to Cadri. His shot stopped. Rebound. Kubo can’t find him and Coronado denied by Greavves. Greavves with the save from a bit of a tough angle. Kubbero with the rebound and in tight. Flames get another look, but Greavves will shut it down. Hanzac Bro every game and it’s been real fulfilling to watch. But he is paired with a couple of great veterans, Blin and Coleman. When you’re on a line with those guys, they teach you all the right. That one hit Cadri spinning around trying to find it. He could see it dies and it shot up a body wide to the glove side and another call coming up. I believe just whistled dead. There’s a fair amount of traffic even though it’s four on four. Columbus is doing a nice job. Jenner in front trying to create a little bit of confusion for Wolves. And that’ll be angled down. I think Coleman thought was going to get to him first, but it still works. take time off the clock. Now it’s one to the net and they score. [Music] Michael Bland puts the finishing touches at first Michael Bland did after this puck went in and he was sure is going in the goal. He went and patted Dustin Wolf. He definitely both games just giving up one goal. That’s a great start. 51 the final. The Flames take it to celebrate with Naz Cry in his 1,000 NHL game. [Music]

Nazem Kadri scored in his 1000th career game, and Dustin Wolf stood on his head with 42 saves as the Calgary Flames defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 5-1.
