NHL Highlights | Maple Leafs vs. Mammoth – November 5, 2025

says he’s capable of more. Starting lineups are brought to you by Molson. Molson. Everyone in Leaf looking for a better start. They’ve given up the first goal in six straight. They have trailed in eight consecutive games. Circuit across. One-time easy pickings. Across it goes. Nate Smith shot bounces to the side of the net. Here’s Logan Culie back and a shot on goal from the sixth most shots on goal and they’re second best in shots against. So they are playing well at the moment. But here’s Max Doy a backhand and he has points in each of his last seven. He’s got it again. The key contributor in the comeback win against Pittsburgh and Matthews with a shot with 18.8 per game. They almost got capitalized on that one. Nick Wah along the boards. It’s kept in at the line. Rick W. It goes to JJ Burka puts it right on. Burka heard some booze last night in his first return to Buffalo. They didn’t even give him a video tribute, which I know uh you’re not too concerned about it. I don’t think he is either. Here’s Nick Wah deep into Utah ice. W battling behind the net getting some help from Joshua. It comes loose from Achelli. He’ll play it back to Philip Meyers. Meyers incoming. Manichek turns that away. Got tied up there with the referee and Kyler Yamamoto turns back. Kevin Stenland in the middle. He’ll get it back from Tanm. Stenland in and Stars has got that back down inside the Utah line. Max Doy chasing after it. Here’s Scott Lton. Doby forcing a turnover and a chance in front for Lawrence. Doby along the boards. Had four hits on Monday. Double the amount he had had in the season prior to the game against Pittsburgh. I like the speed on the D there. Force the Dman to make a play under pressure. Good support by Lton in his first game back and you get a good scoring chance from your fourth line. McBain over the line. Carone sends it on goal. Philip Meyers collects in a great lead feed. Tracking certainly for a lot higher this season in what is a tough central division. Here’s Tvarz and he rigs that off the post. Another shot in the last few weeks about the John Tavaris in his preparation. Here’s another example of it. Watch how quickly bats it out of midair, turns quickly and gets that shot away. You don’t just do that naturally. You work on that time and time again. plays it back towards Circ, but Keller takes it away from him. Keller curls from the corner in Brook stop. That’s a tough save by just getting back there so quickly. It looked like it was going to be a twoon-one chance and it was taken away with his speed. Now lead the kneeer to out of the blocks that knocked down by Mermis. That’s out of the reach of Cole. And there’s a twoon-one, maybe threeon one. McMahon and Tamaris. McMahon. Stopped by Vanichek. Nice setup there. Carlo dashing back. Lawson Crow on him. Put it in front. Scores. Was it Crow? Was it Carone? Carone with the final touch. And once again, the Leafs have given up the opening goal of the game. Well, you you look at this game where all of a sudden it opens up a little bit. Taken away by Cinev. Now just a simple little play and a play by Carlo that gets taken away by Krauss and boy what a pass that no chance at all for Anthony Stolars. You can see Morgan Riley think that Krauss was going to continue on the point. Exactly. Longest serving Toronto Maple Leaf passing Thomas Cavlet for second with only the great Borius ahead on lurking at center. Tavvarz got position on Civichev. Here’s Tavvarz. Penalty panned it. Loose puck in front. Dander scores. He’s got another and the Leafs have tied it [Music] [Applause] and all that Utah’s trying to do is just get a hold of a puck. Tvaris does a great job of keeping him alive and then now he’s just chips it over. Manichek tries to close the gap there for Knander. Watch the patience by Knander. The thingy has Yamamoto drops it back. Gets it back. Here comes the former Oiler Kyler Yamamoto across and Stolars got across. And finally Utah able to clear. I like the defense being aggressive there. You got the MFD running around a little bit. Keep that pressure on. Force them maybe get hemmed in. And now you got some fresh bodies out there. Here’s a chance. Matthew scores. What a blast. What a set up by Machelli. [Music] in three straight. And there’s that pressure again. Doesn’t allow Utah to make a change. You get three fresh bodies out on the ice. And it’s Machelli with just great patience there. Held on. You always love the point from the guy who scores. And as soon as Matthews takes the shot, look at right to Machelli. Great read, good patience. And that looks like the last three goals as you said in three games. That’s just such a great sign. And those kind of releases are exactly what you would expect from number 34. Here the other way goes Purka. Purka in front and stools across. Is offside. It’s going to be a one-time. A bad pinch in the neutral zone by Carlo. Creates the twoon one. And sometimes that knuckler can even fool you more. And watch the reaction of Stallars. Gets there and then the little you’re not out there on the penalty kill. You can’t wait to get back into the action. a giveaway and played back to Sergev. Scores. He’s had a few from the point tonight. Then this one gets through and the game is tied. You just even see some of the surprise for Sergeev. You can’t believe that one went through when it went in. You you could see Anthony Stolar is just looking skyward. And this one is Did he knock it off? He just missed it. I mean, the screen in front of him really wasn’t there. Bergachev just a hard shot but it went right through everybody. Confirm he is the number one supplier bakers of the entire team. I bet he is. That kind of seems like the personality of Sergeant. So here we go. Second or third period and the Leafs on their first. The penalty done. You could hear Stallers whacking the stick but maybe a chance here. Machelli in across Robertson. Stopped by Benic and a second chance as well. Then he lost control. A snap pass across and Robertson with the best chance. Tried to go rink wide. That hit got there. So Ecman Larson will get it in. Bobby McMahon on that right flank. Robertson in support. It came out in front. Scores. John Tvaris. 501. And that’ll feel better than the one a week ago in Columbus. You know, simple hockey, as Craig Barubi says, a dump in a hardcourt check by Bobby McMahon. A good effort to get the puck in front. And like he does so well, this is where John Devaris has had so much success in that inner slot. A bouncing puck goes right over the defender stick. Get a leaf change, but you better check if that puck is still round on that one. There is a lot of hacking and whacking and that to try to get a hold of it. Joshua sent that in just a stride too far for Machelli. Here’s Joshua again out in front. Belli scores [Music] and that will feel good for the forward. His old team to put him back in and he’s given the coach a payoff. Keeps this play alive from behind the net. Good battle there, but Joshua has had a really good game. And Joshua makes that play. Has his head up the whole way. Makes the tape the tape pass. A little hesitation and pass the blocker there through a crowd in front. Another dumped in puck. Circ scored tonight. Here’s Schmaltz up to Keller, the overtime hero last night for Culie. An upplay for Knander. Up ahead. N Matthews with him and N will score. [Music] The defensive play. Watch the attack there. Good active stick. Take the body and one little backhand outlet pass creates this whole scenario. And that that’s just excellent defending using your stick, using your body, and having the composure to just find William Knander in the middle. You know, you have to be a little concerned on the back end if you’re the Leaf coaches. Okay, what are we going to get out of those two? And they haven’t had to hide them. They they’ve been able to play. Here’s a chance. And there’s one back Gunther and an announcers’s curse. As you just say, they haven’t had to hide them. They got caught watching a little bit. and that creating that opening. Watch just a little bit of a missed assignment. I I I think Meyers thought the forward was going to come back and go with him and instead Machelli just let him go and you can’t let this kid in all alone. Man, he just look at the calmness there. Watch him pull, open up the five hole, just slides it along the ice. He’ll be 3 and 0 in November as this one comes to a close. It’s a 53 final. leads over the Mammoth here tonight. [Music]

Matias Maccelli had a goal and an assist in his first game against his former team as William Nylander stayed hot, potting his sixth goal to help lead the Maple Leafs to a 5-3 win over the Utah Mammoth.

  1. Great effort. Relaxed there at the end, but by far for the most of the game it felt like the whole team showed up and played like a unit. Still not the best this team can offer, but I think these guys are dialed in mentally.

  2. It's been a while since I had a favourite Maple Leaf, but I can't help how happy I feel whenever JT scores. This guy truly is the heart and soul. Doesn't whine. Just works like a sled dog. Favourite Leaf since Gilmour.

  3. 1:45. Leaf player knocked to the ice. Utah player standing over Stolarz. Not one Leaf pushing him away from standing over their goalie. Another wasted year for TML fans I'm predicting already.

  4. As a goalie, my GAA was affected by that lapse in defense. That one goal at the end of the game when your team gave up and didn't care anymore because they were winning affects his career statistics. No one cares about goalies when they're winning by 3 goals. Consider if he had 10 shots on goal. 2 goals is a .800 save percentage. 2 goals on 20 shots is .900 save percentage. 2 goals on 30 shots is 9.333. Play for your goalie you schmucks. Especially when goalies are blamed for losses most of the time.

  5. Maccelli put some salt in the wounds of Mammoths. A very good game from him.

He is the best passers of Leafs.

So you ultra fans , please, get rid of him. You already pushed Marner out of the city.
