Flames Hold Ceremony In Honour Of Nazem Kadri’s 1,000th Career NHL Game

Tonight, the Cy Flames organization comes together to celebrate a very special milestone as their very own Nasim Cadri will play in his 1,000 career NHL game tonight. To begin tonight’s ceremony, please welcome Nazam’s wife Ashley and their daughter Nila and Nasim’s father Sam and his mother Sue. [Applause] All right, Flames fans, please welcome number 91, Nazam Cadri. [Music] [Applause] And now, please direct your attention to the Sports Net scoreboard as we take a look back on NASA Cadri’s journey to 1,000 NHL games. The Silver Stick, the ultimate symbol of NHL longevity, awarded to those who reach 1,000 games played in the National Hockey League. For those who have accomplished the feat, it serves as a road map, signifying each step of a player’s journey to this incredible achievement. A testament to the dedication and perseverance of all who reach this milestone. The newest member of this exclusive club is number 91, Nazum Cadri. Selected seventh overall in the 2009 entry draft, Nazum Cadri stepped into the big league spotlight with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Naza became a fan favorite with his fierce competitive instinct, bringing skill, grit, and emotion each and every night during his nine seasons in Toronto. With a shot, scores a crazy deflection to the lead. In 2019, Nasam Condri was acquired by the Colorado Avalanche where his game promptly reached new heights. Nasam’s leadership on the ice continued into the 2022 postseason where he continually delivered in critical moments and a heroic return to action for Nazum Cadry. Then came a new chapter when Nazum Cadri officially joined the Calgary Flames in the summer of 2022. Craig and Nasam’s father, Sam, are presenting Nazum with a one-of-a-kind painting created by Canadian artist David Orrigo, uh, commemorating Nazum’s amazing NHL career. The Silver Stick becomes a tradition for all players who have reached the 1,000 game milestone and is one of the greatest symbols of longevity and perseverance in the National Hockey League. And in recognition of her father’s 10,000th NHL game, Blake Coleman is presenting Nila with her very own silver mini stick.
