Did the Jets WIN the trade deadline? 😮 ‘They did the right thing!’ – Mina Kimes | This Is Football
[Music] This is football. I’m Kevin Cart. Guys, Mina CS and I were just going to shoot the crap. And then the trade deadline, all hell broke loose. So, we not only did a full episode on it, the Jets trade, uh, the Jets trades, they they got rid of Quinnon Williams and S Gardner today. Gardner goes to the Colts. Quinnon Williams goes to the Cowboys. Um, we talk about where the AFC pecking order looks now, the NFC pecking order. Uh, it’s really good stuff, guys. It’s mean it cops. Come on. Uh, this is football presented by ESPN Bet Sportsbook. Download the app today. 21 plus gambling problem. Call 1800 gambler. As a reminder, five star reviews help us help everybody. Ladies and gentlemen, Mina Ks. All right, Mina is here. We were supposed to have like a fun relaxed time and then the New York Jets completely changed their franchise. Uh, I’m going to start here. We texted offline. Are the Jets cooking? I think they’re doing the right thing. Yes. We got to see what they’re doing for a long time. Yeah. Yeah. Brick Brick Johnson. Let’s go. Um, so it’s obviously rebuild, but I I think what we have to talk about are or the reason why I’m in agreement with you is the players they traded, which is not to say they’re bad players, but it seems like they’re keeping Garrett Wil. I mean, right now we’re recording this and who knows what could happen. So, an hour to go. Yeah. Um, so the Jets are now loaded with first round draft ammunition next year and I know you never want to do the well that’s definitely going to work out the whole mystery box thing, but if the plan is to get a quarterback, which it will be, right? I do like that they can also continue adding to the offense in the draft. You know, they’ve they’ve invested a lot in the offensive line, but they need more skilled players. And with this amount of draft capital, you could ostensibly do both. and and I think this defense has been underwhelming now for a couple of years quite frankly. So I’m not looking at you know yeah they’re they’re bad they’re going to be even worse but I feel like if the plan is going to be a quarterback centric rebuild it makes sense to focus on improving on that side of the ball. Completely agree with everything you just said. The Jets needed this because they were in this weird purgatory where they were built for two years ago. And I I’ll do my spiel again. The Aaron Rogers thing should have worked. He should have been the 14th best quarterback in the NFL three years ago. And with that defense, they should have won a playoff game at the very least. Okay. Um the fact that they didn’t is a football tragedy. I feel for Jets fans. I live near a lot of Jets fans. I work for Jets fans. I feel for them every single day. Okay. Um but it didn’t happen. And then you have a weird roster. So, I I I I I think Aaron Glenn is trying to replicate Detroit, and that was a very self-aware rebuild. And and and Brad Holmes said this to me when I was there the first year they were there, is they didn’t mean to tear everything down to the studs. They did not when they got the job in Detroit, they didn’t know what they were going to do with Matthew Stafford. And Matthew Stafford said, “I don’t want to be here anymore.” And that the the question answered itself. And then you start, you know, they got rid of Jamie Collins and and all of a sudden you just didn’t have any veterans on the roster because you wanted to start the the rebuild because everything the next step always made sense and then you end up with with with nothing. You end up with with rebuilding a house, right? And I think Aaron Glenn looked at this roster. It was sloppy. It was there were bad habits there. There were players who I I don’t think Susardner was getting better at this point in his career and even in his fourth year. And I think he’s I think they understood having a really expensive cornerback uh in the next couple of years may not be uh the best thing as far as being having having a rebuild. Maybe there’s other other places you want to go roster-wise. And now they get so many opportunities. I just saw that the the pick they’re going to get from the Cowboys for Cornin Williams is the Cowboys pick, not the Packers, which is a big difference. Yeah, that’s awesome. So even if they don’t So I I don’t know about those quarterback class. I was really high on Lenora Sers coming into this year. That’s not going to happen in the top 10. Fernando Mendoza hasn’t shown me enough to say we got to take this guy 1-1. Okay. Um, just looking at the entire landscape, I don’t even know if this is the year to get a quarterback, but I know you can improve your team in every single draft. And so, I I there’s a lot there’s a lot of talent out there, and I think they can rebuild young and cheap and and really I feel like the Jets have needed this for a long time. The hard reset button can it’s very painful but it can be very useful. Yeah. I I like it was very self-aware and I would say sets them up for doing the right thing long term. Of course, the devil will be in the details in terms of the players they pick, which was sort of, you know, Detroit the key to the whole thing was they ultimately chose the right players and the right coaching staff obviously. But like I don’t Yeah. I I again I cannot stress to people enough how bad the Jets defense has been the last couple of years. Um Gardner’s been good. He I actually think he’s been okay this year and I do like it from the Colts perspective, but when I saw the but when I saw the return they got for him, no brainer. It made sense. The Cowboys side of it to me, the Quinnon thing to me is more perplexing. It’s not perplexing, but like the the Colts gave up a lot, but the Colts are have realistic Super Bowl ambitions. They they win the Super Bowl, so it’s a small price to pay. The Cowboys are not they’re barely even a playoff team, if that. Uh so I, you know, I I can’t hate too much because Quinnon, you got a couple years in the contract. He’s going to be he’s a good young player, but this defense, as we saw last night, has major issues at the second and third levels. And this has not addressed that obviously. So I don’t I I get it sort of, but I don’t think it’s enough. $30 million cap hit in 2027 for Quinnon Williams, which is a lot. But if he is the player they think they can be, it’s fine. He’s cost controlled for a few years. Don’t have to worry about the contract thing. Jerry Jones can’t wait to get in contract. You and I on on first take in 2028, we’re going to cook with the Quinnon Williams thing. Okay. Uh Quinnon Williams staredown. Uh pencil that one in. So, I’m looking at this from both sides, the Colts. The Colts and and the Cowboys. The Colts went all in to me on trying to win the Super Bowl, which is admirable. The Cowboys went all in on trying to protect Jerry Jones’s ego. Like, that’s just the way that’s the way I see it. They they again, I think Quinn Whims is a really good player, but what are you what are you doing here? Um you’re you’re three and five. 35 and one. Um you just lost to a Cardinal. You got Logan Wilson who I don’t think is much of a needle mover. Um he can play but I don’t think he’s going to change anything. I don’t think he dramatically improved all that much this season enough to win. And so and then by the way the offense was weird last night. So it’s not like you’re if they scored 45 if they lost 48 to 45 in an old Big 12 game last night you go okay they’re Quinn Williams away from turning this around. I just think it’s a it’s a they got a long way to go talent capwise. And that that that by the way is a symptom of how Jerry’s treated this roster for many years. They just don’t maximize the cap and all that stuff and they’re not able to find those little edges on the roster like a Philadelphia is. But having said all this, having said all this, uh are you changing your outlook for the Colts? Was there a different Colts outlook you had this morning than you do right now? This to me is is absolutely a needle mover for the Colts this season. Cornerback was a huge issue for them. Trevarious Ward’s been out. He had the second concussion. Um, and it gives Louisumo the flexibility, I think, to game plan for the other playoff teams, specifically the Chiefs and the Bills. One of my big takeaways watching the Chiefs and the Bills play each other, but also, you know, across the season, is you have to be able to play man coverage against these offenses. Now, they can, right? And, um, Lou, you know, his reputation as a game planner obviously is well known. I think he’s done some really creative and interesting things, particularly up front with the Colts pressures, but they just didn’t have the horses on the back end. I I think Sas Gardner is an actual game changer for them on defense. And I just love that they’re freaking going for it. I mean, people forget like forever the Colts were under Ballard, Chris Ballard, the jam, were the team that like refused to do the big signings, refused to do trades, and they’ve been this is a huge swing for them. And I so I I really like this move. I like what it means in the AFC and I like what it means for Luan Ru Luan Rua in particular because I think it’s going to allow him to do some fun stuff on defense. I completely agree. Can we do a quick AFC pecking order? Do you still think the Chiefs are the best team in the AFC? This is helpful because I I do a top five every week um on my show’s Instagram and I was looking at this last week and and like four of the teams lost. So I I’ve literally I I I have really struggling. I think most of First of all, I’ll say this. I’m probably gonna I think probably four of the top six teams are NFC right now. Uh I would still have the Colts in the top five. I know that they just put up five in the NFL. Okay, that’s fine. I just I’m doing AFC. So So here are the candidates to be the best team in the AFC in general. Patriots, Bills. I’m not gonna put the Steelers on there. Colts. I’m I’m just going to say it because they’re they’re they have wins. Broncos, Chargers, Chiefs. Yeah. Uh I would right now go, you know what’s funny about the Bills? I think the Colts match up pretty well with them because they can run on them in Kansas City. Well, they just help themselves quite a bit. Although although maybe maybe it’s a the Bills maybe the Bills not having any good receivers is gonna help when they play Sauce Gardner. Oh, we’ll put Keon Coleman out there to do nothing again. Uh, okay. So, those are my I think those are the top three still. The Bills, the Chiefs, and the Colts in some order. If I had to put them in order, I probably would put the Bills on top right now because of the quarterback, but Oh my god, this is so hard. What would you do? It’s so hard. Okay. Um I’m going to put the Bills one, two. I just think I I They just They just won. They played a type of game, Mina, where they pressured Patrick Mahomes literally more than he had in any game in regular season ever. Uh he was held under 50% completion percentage. You have this proof of proof of concept. We have an hour to go until the trading deadline. A little disappointed the Bills didn’t trade for a defensive lineman. Maybe they still will. Maybe this will age poorly. Like I wanted to see I wanted to see them be the the first round pick trade team. Like I wanted to see them make the holy crap trade. And maybe maybe they will in the next hour. Uh the listener already knows this because it’s we’re posting after that. But like I just I think you have proof of concept of what that that defensive line is able to do. Joey Bose is giving you something, but then you lose Ed Oliver, you lose Michael Hoy. Like I just felt like they could they had a move to make and they didn’t make it. All right. Um Bills number one. I Colts number two for now. They’re seven and two. Weird game. The only thing that gives me pause, Mina, six turnovers. What if Daniel What if the clock strikes midnight on Daniel Jones? I feel like I’m not ready to write him off after just one bad No, neither am I. I’m just saying good stuff happened. Shane Stiken is the best play caller Daniel Jones ever had. Yeah. Um, good things are happening. They have an athletic deep They have athletes all over the place. Oh, by the way, do you care about DD Mitchell? We didn’t even mention him. No, I I’m I’m happy with that for the Jets, though. Just like, you know what, take a dart throw. Yeah. Yeah. Who cares? Um, good stuff. Good stuff from the Jets. Uh, I’m gonna go Colts. I’m gonna go Chiefs after that. But I really like this Patriots team. I really like this Patriots team. Yeah, I like them, too. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what to do. The AFC is I need more data. I like I like Mike Frabel. The Colts going all in on this, too. Suggests that they plan on extending Daniel Jones, doesn’t it? Uh that that so so there was a report last week that they were going to start having conversations. Yes. Um I think that seems obvious. I wonder now if there’s a Darnold effect for a couple years where teams are just like you know what this is working. Let’s just keep this moving. Like there’s like like people and obviously there’s no JJ McCarthy here and Anthony Rich they already rode off and that’s fine. But like I think the Vikings really wish they had kept Sam Darnold because they were they it was working and there’s there’s no reason to to look behind door number three. And with the Colts like yes I it’d be very beneficial for them I think to just sign Daniel Jones to a foury year $200 million deal right now or more. It’s probably going to be 60, right? Yeah. Um it’s halfway point of the season so I think it it’s a you know The other thing I’ll say about the Colts is even if they are out, let’s say he does turn into a pumpkin and goes, you know, or start struggles in the playoffs or whatever, the team is so good that they could probably just get another free agent quarterback if that’s the direction they want to go in. Um, yeah. Yeah. I I I I like it for the Colts. I make sense what the Jets are doing. I think I’m probably the least positive about the Cowboys side in all of this. Really? The team that seems to have no idea what it’s doing for the past 25 years. Came came out looking the worst. We’re coming off of the Monday Night Football loss to Jacobe. Kevin, the pass rush was like the best part of the defense by far. Yes, I agree. Problem is everything behind it. I mean, Quinn will help him run defense as well, but the problem they should have traded for Sauce Gardner. They should just traded everything they had for Twin Williams and S Gardner. Yeah. I I mean it’s there’s so many holes at the second and third levels of this defense. I And I I mean I have people the Logan will I mean people are like yeah Logan I’m sorry. Have we not what Bengals defense? Also Logan Wilson wasn’t in the plans of the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals. the Bengals who led the NFL in missed tackles and then had the worst miss tackle sequence I’ve seen this year. It’s just bad personnel. The Yeah, I mean when he played in the Jets game, he was whatever. Whatever. This is betting is brought to you by ESPN Bet Sports book. Bet $10 to get $100 in bonus bets when you use code Clark 21 plus gambling problem. Call 1800 gambler. All right, guys. had the loss on Monday night. Thought the Cowboys were going to score a lot of points. Cardinals would be able to hang with him. Jacobe Brassette. Never doubt Jacobe Brassette. Never doubt Jacobe Brousette. All right, I’m going uh with another home team. I’m going Vikings over Ravens. Vikings are four and a half point dogs at home. Here’s a stat from Sunday against the Lions, a team that knows how to protect the quarterback. The Vikings defense generated pressure of 46% with 10 different defenders recording one pressure. They had Jared Goff in absolute hell on some of these plays. I believe in Brian Flores. I believe in this defense. I also believe in what I’ve said for a long time, which is that Minnesota is one of the best places to play quarterback in the entire world. That’s why JJ McCarthy looked really comfortable on Sunday. He’s coming into his own. Carson Wentz is is a thing of the past. injured. Not going to happen anymore. JJ McCarthy’s the future. I don’t think they’re going to win the Super Bowl. I don’t think they’re they’re real deal contenders, but they’re going to put us a run together where they’re going to beat teams like the Ravens. Give me the Vikings in this one. Hey, um, real quick, I don’t want to spend too much time on this. You mentioned Jacob Brousette. Uh, Kyler Murray destinations. So, I had a take a few weeks ago where I we were talking about Darnold and um Baker and I and I threw out Kyler Murray as a like could the I I could see in a few years him having one of those arcs. Um I don’t So where should he go? Yeah. So I next season is when they can trade him. Um so he can’t So So uh No, no. Sorry. This offseason they can say I mean I had it next season. Yeah. I was like what? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Um that’s a fun game. Let’s look at I’m looking at the league. No, no, no, no, no. Wait, I I I think I have one. What is it? This might be this might be stupid because everybody wants to fire him. And and it contractwise, yes. I I think the run game. I don’t hate it. Let’s get a little The problem is is contractwise they still kind of have to keep two for another year, but like whatever. Who cares? It’s this is we’re this is a new league. Like they people just we just do you can just do things. You can just do things now with the cap. Um I think that is the team you’re going to be looking at as a potential quarterback team. Um unless and coach and GM team collapses and Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Saints are going to draft a quarterback. See what happens with the Panthers down the stretch. Um I mean the Cardinals are going to be Panthers are a weird one. I don’t The issue is Bryce Young is not going to sign a mega deal. And I don’t know I I I think that’s the kind of place where you just kind of have a starown over how much below that a team will you’ll take for a two-year deal. And I whether or not I guess the question is how many guys can do what Bryce Young is doing in Dave Canal’s offense. I think the answer is a lot. And I think you don’t have to pay a premium for that. All right. Uh, are the Seahawks who won the Super Bowl? The Steelers? The Seahawks? Oh, the Seahawks. Um, so again, going back to the top five, it’s really hard not to have them top three right now. You could absolutely make a case for them at one or two. uh they to me are balanced in a way that’s unique because of how unbelievable the defense is. The offense being incredibly explosive combined with that. I don’t see why you would count them out. Do I mean what do you Let’s Let’s look at it this way. What would you say is the Seahawks biggest weakness other than like potentially like you know Sam Darnold suddenly Yeah. No, I think that’s a big thing. So, it’s a c Daniel Jones and Sam Darnold to me are two sides of the same coin where I’m just waiting and we just saw a six turnover game from from the Colts, but I’m waiting. it is. Even though I love Sam Darnold’s journey, I saw the playoff game last year and I’m just and I’ve seen enough Sam Darnold mistakes to say when he plays an Eagles team, when he plays one of these teams in January that can wreak havoc and cause turnovers and you know throw different pressures at him that bad things can happen, right? Same thing with Daniel Jones. I’m I’m I I I I really if I’m a Colts fan am I’m not looking forward to playing in Kansas City or hosting Kansas City in January or or playing Josh Allen. Like I just think that the quarterback the talent gap with the quarterbacks can be significant in January for for both teams for both Daniel Jones and Sam that and that’s a pretty big concern for me. And also by the way the exception of of Daniel Jones and Sunday I haven’t seen a lot of evidence for that. I’m just saying I’m always going to have pause on that. That’s a flaw. Yeah, that’s reasonable. The inability to run the ball well is a little bit concerning for me. I’ll be interested. The Shahed acquisition in Seattle. Obviously, you think of him, you think of him as bombs away, deep threat, and all of that. But I actually think he will help them. This is a team right now that has really like feasted on single high and base defense. And I think he will allow them to be a little bit more effective passing the ball in obvious dropback situations and hopefully maybe lighten the box for the run as well. That’s kind of the that when I when I go Seattle, that’s the biggest weakness right now is just the run game. But you know, it doesn’t matter. But let me ask you a question about about Daniel Jones and Sam Darnold. With the exception of Baker Mayfield, who was significantly hurt his last year in Cleveland, he shouldn’t have played through the injury. Would he have gotten him a lot of money? actually would have benefited everybody if Baker Mayfield did not play that injury because he’d still be in Cleveland and everything would be great with the exception of him. Is there anyone who changed the trajectory of their career in a way that Daniel Jones and Sam Donald have done and it was permanent this late in their career? Like in the history of football? Yeah. Oh, like who? Um, there are examples. Right now, I’m completely blanking. I just don’t I just don’t know. I don’t know where it’s like, okay, they’re great now. Probably missing some obvious names. I mean, Steve Young’s a different deal because it took him It took him a long time to win the starting job because Joe Montana was in front of him. Uh, Terry Bradshaw, like there was that story one I mean, he was a touted pro basically. Al Davis tried to trade for Terry Bradshaw because he wasn’t playing and then or whatever. It wasn’t fitting the system and then the Steelers said no. I think Al Davis maybe embellished that. Um but I saw in NFL films one time when I was skipping school. Um but I just there’s for me there’s always going to be that pause where a lot this is this has very rarely been permanent. And I don’t know maybe that’s an unfair generalization but it’s very rarely been permanent. Um, all right. Uh, last thing before we get to the the the rapid fire. Um, any nonobvious coaching changes you’d like to see or even like so for me, I’m going to throw this out there. Kevin Stfansky in Cleveland has given up coaching uh, play calling duties for the second straight year. Yeah. Very rarely do you do that voluntarily. Okay. Very, very rarely. I haven’t checked with anyone. Very, very rarely. People don’t really give up power in this in this league. Um, feels like everybody could use a change of of pace there in Cleveland. East Coast guy, quarterback guy. Can we get Kevin Stfansky to Giant Stadium? Love that take. Um, do we like the combination of him and Jackson Dart? I I think I do. I think I do. What What What gives you pause there? No, just I don’t know if Dart’s like the right fit for the Kevin Stfansky offense. I guess that would be the first thing that comes to mind. Um, it’s funny. The guy who Sure. Do you just mean like the play action? Like for me, I mean, Dart Dart is a raw player and and the and I really liked the flashes, but like when he was just throwing the ball up for grabs against Denver, he could use a little more structure, I’d say. Um I don’t know. I don’t know what’s going on some of those throws. You saw it in college, too. Watch the Florida tape if if if you want to see some some real deal playing with fire down in the in the secondary, but uh I I I think Stansancy can make that work. I I think that that’s that’s the type of coach that the Giants need is like a guy who is just in a bad situation who I think Kevin is an awesome coach. Any other co coaching nonobvious coaching moves that you want to see or you’ve been thinking about? Well, it’s not uh I guess something that would happen obviously in mid-season, but I’d love to see Mike McDaniel go be the offensive coordinator for a lot of teams around the NFL. Buffalo. Joe Brady goes and takes some awesome job. Yeah. Um I don’t know if he’s a Buffalo. He’s obviously hates the cold. It’d be awful in Buffalo. He’d be wearing nine layers. I was going to suggest the Packers, but that doesn’t um um I can I Well, what? Because Lafleur wants to keep play calling. No, I I’ve just been very frustrated watching the Packers offense as of late. feels like they need Mike McDaniel told me that Matt Laflur is the best person he’s ever met. The best person he’s ever met. And he told me that uh Mike McDaniel told me that he had some issues uh earlier in his his career which have been well documented. and that um Matt Lafleur went to Kyle Shanahan to get McDaniel rehired even though that he would be in direct competition on staff with him because he’s a special person. So, uh, I think Lthor would want to continue to have play calling duties, but I’m just saying there’s very few coaches in this league where I can tell you that one of them told me that the head coach is the best person they ever met. I just want to throw that out there. Has anyone ever said that about you? Definitely not. 100%. Maybe Lenny, cuz I’m I’ll tell you what, I’m I am such not that that if someone said that about me, people would laugh. Uh, that’s not true. But how about Oh, let me throw out another one. How about Mike McDaniel, Atlanta Falcons? He was there. He was there. He’s like a quarterback’s coach. Yeah, that could be good. What about Mike McDaniel, head coach somewhere? Does he have to rehab rehab a little bit? I think he’s gonna have to do a little Here’s what’s going to happen. He’s gonna if he gets fired, he’s going to go to some good team. The offense is going to shred. He’ll get a second shot. Uh oh. Do we got another piece of news? just got in the group chat. Stfansky Stfansky to the to the Giants. Oh, okay. Josina Anderson beefing with someone. Um, uh, he’s going to go be an offensive coordinator. He’s going to shred and then he’ll get another chance down the road, but he’s going to be picky this time about the quarterback. Hey, he did it with two. All right, last thing. We don’t call one rep back. Normally, if it’s a player, it’s a player. Uh, they get to redo a play of their career. With a GM, it’s a pick. with the media person. It’s a take. Mina Coms, if you could take back one thing you’ve said, whether it’s a take, whether it’s a line, whether it was just a riff on a broadcast, what are you taking back and doing differently, Mina Cops? Uh, this is pretty easy cuz I get old takes I get old takes like every day on this. It’s that the Seahawks wouldn’t be able to upgrade a quarterback because to be fair, I sent that after they traded Gino before they actually did anything. So, it wasn’t an anti-Sam Darnold take at the time. I was just like, what are they going to do? They’re not going to get better at quarterback. So, obviously, Gino Smith has struggled this year and Sam Darnold has been unbelievable. I think the thing about Darnold that maybe has gotten I want No, I think people probably really understand that now, especially after he played the Commanders, who admittedly probably have the worst defense in the NFL. That’s right. He’s better this year than he was last year by a sizable margin. I know he had some good games last year and I know Vikings fans are now doing the Wolverine photo thing with him as our Jets fans. But I’m telling you, as someone who watched, you know, him very closely, he was kind of inconsistent last season, even before the final two games of the season, there’s a reason why I think in Minneapolis there, it wasn’t just about the last two games of the season. He’s been incredible this year. Um, he’s been incredible under pressure. He’s made plays at downfield. He was playing like somebody with complete faith in the structure of the offense and it’s been an absolute joy to watch this season. Mina, thank you, pal. I’ll eat that L. You can’t eat L’s. You can’t eat W’s. James had it wrong. Uh, I agree with that. You You want to hoist up the W’s. You want to show the W the Yeah, you’re not ingesting the W’s. [Music]

No one values Mina Kime's thoughts
Who cares what Mina thinks. She should be in a kitchen washing dishes and making me a SANDWICH

Kevin & Mina: you both forgot about Rich Gannon, Kurt Warner & Drew Brees just to name a few guys. Regarding Kevin's concerns with longevity for career turnarounds 21:15
Bills fan here. We are right on track to thump some nerds in the WC round then lose in heartbreaking fashion to a more talented team. Fade us!
will the clock strike 12 on daniel jones…..cringe…..come on, do better on writing your narrative….white belt level here
Just a reminder for everyone that in order to be Super Bowl Champion, you have to win 3 to 4 games in a row against really, really good teams. There are no Dolphins, Titans, Commanders, Saints in the playoffs to pad your record.
ESPN, pay Kevin Clark enough so he can turn on the heat in his house. Man is wearing a jacket inside like it's 62 degrees.
Sauce is a zone corner. Mina I love it for Lou. Your going to need to play man against the chiefs and the bills in the playoffs," Where's JB?
Jets ownership is the problem. Cleaning house is a bandaid.
Let’s have mins breakdown quarters coverage for the ball knowers 😂
I can tell she's cheated om her husband with you before
What a surprise. Mina wants a take back regarding her own team. How about you admit that Bo Nix and the Broncos are actually good? Such a Broncos hater who refuses to give Nix any credit
She literally knows nothing about football it’s embarrassing.
Quinnen Williams was a great trade because Dallas also still has 2 first round picks in 2026 and 1 in 2027. They didn’t have to sell the farm to get him. Plus him Osa, and Kenny Clark in the middle is a start as far as rebuilding that defense.
Good analysis. But Mina Kimes used "ostensibly" incorrectly at 1:51 "Theoretically" or "in principle" would have been better.
Is Kimes usually this inarticulate? It’s like she was unprepared for basic power ranking conversations. Just go with it, geez. Kevin isn’t asking about your take on foreign relations in the Middle East.
Lots of hmm, umm, idk, I’m blanking. Tough listen.
21:30 answer is Jim Plunkett. Know your stuff people.
Not totally accurate on Steve Young. He was drafted in the USFL and considered a bust (the $40 million dollar bust). He played for the LA Express, didn't seem so good. Went to Tampa Bay another 2 years considered a bust. Then sat on the bench behind Montana for another 4 years and we know what happened after that. As another commenter put, Jim Plunkett (a first round pick). Maybe Rich Gannon. People forget that John Elway took 4 years before everything came together for him.
Vikings fans could care less about Darnold he was 0-2 against the Lions
Of course Mina Kimes would say that. She doesn’t know anything about football.
