Can we swap Boone for Mattingly?
***Insert freed from chains gif here***
Donnie, please come back to us.
He hates Toronto’s fans too.
Bring him home!!!
Anyone asking for Donnie has not paid attention to his managerial history so far. He is absolutely not the answer for this team.
Come home donnie
Please just retire. I’m tired of hearing about wanting him to replace Boone. I’ve said this like 20000 times, but, as much as Boone sucks, Mattingly is so much worse.
Bring him home. Not manager but some role with the organization. It’s been too long.
Wha happon?
Whoa! Bring hom home!
I get the hesitation to have him replace Boone, but he should 100% be the hitting coach. Blue Jays just made contact all year and the Yankees need to seriously focus on making contact if they want to actually compete against elite pitching
Since it’s Boob reporting it, I fully expect a Mattingly extension with the Jays within the hour.
Fire Boone and bring in Don, then add Paul O’Neil as the bench coach.
Bring Donnie home. Even if it’s just as a special advisor for the team and he spends most of his time at home with family. If he wants it, bring him home.
Bring in Donnie as the vice president of player development or something.
He would be cool in a yogi like position with the team but other opportunities might mean something he doesn’t have to travel as much for
Transition: Don is coming home !!! Let’s go Yankees
He has a poor managerial track record.
Don Mattingly was my idol growing up; I’d like to keep him on that pedestal and not have it ruined by a repeat of his performance in MIA or LAD
Mattingly wants to coach/manage and wants a ring – no rings coming to the Yankees anytime soon with Cashman at the helm – he’s not coming here
Don’t. Don’t give me hope.
Definitely not as manager like some people are saying, but I want him in the organization
