[Chiang] MRI revealed a left big toe sprain for Heat center Bam Adebayo. He’ll miss tomorrow’s game vs. Hornets. Adebayo is day-to-day. So this is positive news for the Heat and Adebayo, all things considered.

  1. Really not something you want to see. But I suppose better now than in February assuming it heals fully

  2. I know you guys think this is good news but big toe injuries take longer than you think to heal.

This could’ve been worse but I’m slightly worried.

  3. Thank god he’s day-to-day. Losing Bam for extended time would chalk the whole season. No one on the team can come close to replicating what he does

  4. Good news, or as good as it can be. Big toe injuries are tricky though. The Heat need him to fully recover from this one, so I don’t expect him back in a week. Hell, if the expected recovery timeline is still consistent, he might be back around the same time Herro does.

  5. If they designated him day to day that’s a Grade 1 sprain, massive turn of fortune there. Just Grade 2 and we be talking about months, and the rest of regular season for Grade 3 would be the rest of the regular season.

We could get Herro and Bam back at the same time…

  6. This is good-ish news. But toe injuries are tricky and I hope it ain’t turf toe because if it then that’s really not good for an athlete because you can’t walk, run, or explode off your foot like you really want to. Hopefully it fully heals and it doesn’t nag him

  7. That’s good. They can let Ware and Pelle eat minutes. I really want to see those two develop

  8. I knew it Bam is just too much of an iron man now I feel much better knowing that we will have Herro and Bam together soon
