Should The Phillies Give Kyle Schwarber 5 Years, or Move On? #phillies
As much as I love Kyle Schwarber, I don’t want this to come off like I don’t appreciate the guy because of everything that he has done and he’s been tremendous to watch. And you’re not even you’re not the NL East champs last year without Kyle Schwarber. I just think that if we want there to be some sort of change that you’re going to have to make a tough decision here and if he wants five years, I don’t think you give him the five years. You give him five price is 33 right now. So you would have a 37y old DH, a 38-year-old still first baseman. That’s going to be Where the hell? How are they going to pull this off? Well, do you see do you see where I’m going with this? The only thing you’re banking on is you’re essentially selling your future for the present where you’re saying we’re going all in in the next two seasons because you know why? We have a good club. So, you’re thinking we have a good club. It’s a fine line between us and the Dodgers. We’re going to essentially go all in with this older roster and see what we can do. And in three or four years, yeah, we’re going to have some issues.

I would not give him 5. In fact he can walk. Resign Ranger. They need all the arms they can get.
Andrew Painter getting hurt really screwed up the Phillies because they were forced to lock up Nola where I would've rather locked up Ranger….we still don't know how good Painter could be….Painter was made untouchable during the trade deadline last year instead of Dombrowsi trading him for a guy like Garrett Crochet.
