Yeah maybe he’s a bad person who continually makes conscious bad choices and maybe he doesn’t deserve any sympathy, but man this is still sad. He was my favorite player. And first 5ish years of his career seemed straight as an arrow. No off field drama, always spoke highly of his teammates and coaches, hell he even ended a holdout early because he felt bad for his teammates. And mind you this is when he was an all pro making $10M a year. Where did THAT guy go?

Remember when everyone blamed Ben Roethlisberger and his “owner’s mentality” for the trouble Brown was having with the Steelers?
He swore up and down he was a victim every time he ran himself out of town (Pittsburgh, Oakland, New England, Tampa). So many prominent figures gave him airtime to talk about the “discrimination” he faced.
But in reality, he’s just an awful person. The money and fame got to his head and he thought he was untouchable. It’s a shame because he would be a Hall of Famer otherwise
