Asterisk should not be taken lightly, guys. I heard there was a huge outbreak in Houston back in 2017.

I don’t care too much about Bonds himself, but if you exclude all the cheaters from the HOF you hardly have anyone there. There’s the spitballers/scufflers (Gaylord Perry), the sign stealers. Those benefitting from the steroids (Bud Selig). All those pitchers using “sticky”. Or pine tar. All the amethamphetimen abusers. List goes on and on…

Don’t care what anyone says. Barry Bonds and Pete Rose are two of the greatest baseball players to ever play the game. If they’re not in, it’s not a Hall of Fame.
He could still time an asterisk up at his age

Barry Bonds is an all-time great and easily the best player of his era.
To some, being a HOFer also includes character. I know there are a few assholes in the hall, but they tend to be from before the 70’s. . Many of today’s voters want their players to be good guys too…or at least not be jerks. We’ll see if this veterans committee has changed their criteria.
