NHL Highlights | Lightning vs. Golden Knights – November 6, 2025
against the Lightning. And we are all set. Here’s the faceoff sponsored by Rooms to Go. Trying to bounce back after that loss in Denver against the Avalanche. Here’s Hurdle. Tomage. Hurdle with a little room. Puts it in front. Save by Basski on the tip right in the doorstep. That meant that Churnac and Mcdana had the back end of the zone. You see the weaving back and forth. Got them. And there’s one of those faceoff wins that Brian was talking about. They get it back to the line. Hannah been dishes off. Gets it back. Long shot, rebound, scores, batted home by Barbashev. He’s got goals in backto back games and the biggest Golden Knights have the lead. That’s how Barb makes a living. He goes to the net at the right time. He’s got really good hands. Got traded to Vegas at exactly the right time in February to win a cup here with Vegas. He’s hanging off to the side. He’s always got good movement. He creates a little bit of a gap there with Radish, but Vegas always gets shot from the point. Baseli makes the save, but he doesn’t handle the rebound very well. He just kind of slapped that puck down. If he had caught it more cleanly [Applause] for four check pressure, letting get it away up the boards knocked down by Carlson. He’s got a lane to the net. Quick shot saved by Vaselpski and he punched the rebound down as well with his blocker. Here comes Gourd now. Gourd. Holberg dropped this one off. Here’s Mcdana to Chernac. Slap pass. Oh, Linda with it. Good save on a redirect in tight by Oh yeah, you know it’s fine. All’s fair. Here’s Vegas back up the ice. Center pass and they score. Vegas comes all the way back down and they get another goal from Barbashev who’s got two and it is two nothing in Golden Knight finding openings that the Lightning should not be allowing. Lightning have numbers. They have guys back into the area but you have to come back to a player. See lots of white jerseys but too much room. There’s a gap. Coming back to a spot doesn’t work. Really good puck movement. Nice pass from down low. It’s a distraction. It’s really difficult for the goalender Balefki. He had to protect the short side. Can’t get across. Can’t stay. Here comes Points and Hegel in over the line. Long shot right on net and the rebound controlled by Braden Point back of the goal. Throws it in the corner out front. Hegel with a shot saved by Lindbomb. Six. They’ve had some very good periods to look back on and build upon as we enter this second period. The faceoff sponsored by Rooms to Go. And we are underway here in the second at T-Mobile Arena. Both goals scored by Ivan Barbashev for Vegas. This one sent across the line. There’s Hanniban with a shot. It goes wide. Held in by White Cloud. Back of the net. Eel digs it out as Vegas picks up where they left off here. going right back to work with the lighting dig this one out. Here’s Gonzalez feeds it up front and it’s flipped back in by York. Here’s James out in front. Gonzalz scores. What a goal and much needed as Gage Gonzalez gets his first goal of the season and gets the Lightning back in this game. We’ve been talking about this line for the last several games. They’ve also got the ability to put the puck in the back of the net. They just haven’t been able to do it on a regular basis. Borkstrand’s the experienced guy. Gonzalz doesn’t have many games under his belt. And of course, James is the rookie. And Gage Gonzalez gets a much needed goal for himself as well. He wanted to get one on the score sheet. There’s another great stop by Vaselki on Riley Smith. Back. White Cloud being pinned over there by Hinsel. Now in front back by Smith. Shot saved by Baski as Hipin prepped up from the point and knocks it down the ice. Chipped into the middle. Skating the man that one is Bjorn Strand. He gets a shot away and Linda rebound. Another rebound. They score and the Lightning have tied the game. First NHL goal for Dominic James. This line is really going and congratulations to Dominic James. He gets it into the empty net. Gets there. The goalender goes down and out and he can’t recover himself. Watch this. How far he slips out of the net. He falls on his backside. Can’t get back. Allowing Vegas to get this outside their zone. And now here they come up the ice. Shorthanded shot saved by Basilki on that short-handed rush by Sod. Sod was smart there. He realized he had a forward backing up as a defenseman. He tested Hegel and he beat him on that play. Sabi, 15-year veteran, had a couple of chances here tonight. Now back to Gensel. Gensel looks shoots and that one just ricochets wide. Rebound picked up by Hegel. Hegel over on the right side gets it back to the point for Headman. Back to Hegel. Hegel taking his time feeds it back to the captain. Near side now to Coojov across Hegel with a one-time and a great stop by Lindal who’s got across down low to point back to Coutra. One touch headman across there’s a sharp angle shot from Hegel by bang away. Loose puck in the slot and it is cleared on the backand by the Vegas Golden Knights to Shay Theodore. Oh, here’s Dust. Dust dishes off. Bjorkstrand over on the far boards. Beats it down low to Gonzalez. Back for Bjorkstrand. his shot. Rebound is tipped just wide. Good game so far this season. That is a very positive sign because they’ve not been a great road team the last couple of seasons. But what a two points these would be if they were pick them up tonight. Cooerov. Here’s Radish with a blast. Big shot block rebound comes into the corner across. Coocher scores. Nikita Cooerov just as the power play was about to expire gives the Lightning the lead 32. That’s the way the power play used to look so many times last year. From different angles, retrieving pucks and keeping the box diving all over the place. The right side of the screen, you’re going to get a shot block right there. That was Theodore being injured. He was very slow to get up. That allowed a seam for the pass across to Cuch. Here comes back around again. Then the shot from Bork Strand, excuse me, the pass from Borkstrand across. Throws a sharp angle shot in on Bass. Rebound picked up by Mner. Mner with a shot tip. Scores. Did this one go off of Headman in front? Yeah. A tough break. A long range shot and the Vegas Golden Knights answer right back. Bad break for the Lightning here. Watch Victor Hedman in front of the net. He wants to box out. He wants to make sure he gets a piece of Barbashev. The puck is airborne and it goes off. Victor is lifting the stick of Barbashev. Libert traps it. Drops that one back into the corner. Vegas can’t contain it. Knock backwards and batic scores. It’s Brandon Hangel as he battles to find that puck and bats it home and the Lightning respond right back. It’s 43 goal for Brandon Hegel because he just never gives up. If there’s a battle, if there’s a 50/50 puck, he’s going to win it 99% of the time. And that is schooling your defenseman in front of the net. He gets his stick free. It is a battle in front of the net. You can’t just stand there. With a puck on the near side of his back hand being watched there by Gurgensson carries it in behind the net. The slimmer jack the back door for Mner and a big save there by Vaselki. Everybody’s attention in behind the net score. Here’s Mner now. Mner weaving his way in out of the corner trying to jam play. There’s Dorv. Loose pocket comes back to the high slot for Martner. He’ll reset it. And look who’s out there. James in the middle. Why not? He’s hot with three points tonight. Here’s Headman. Cut scores. Nikita Coov with his second goal of the game. Power play goal and the Lightning lead 53. A lot of pressure on them because they expect so much out of themselves. They’ve shown a couple of different looks early on in the game. We saw Cooerov back up at the left point. Not so now. Not so the last couple of times. Cooerov back in the office and he’s at the top of the office there. I think that went off of a stick in front yet. His drive. Hurdles there. Rebound picked up. Coocher. Nice move. Empty net. And they’re not going to miss this one. No sir. Brandon Hegel. Empty net goal. and the Lightning are going to get it done tonight in Vegas. Oh, they do a terrific job here. Talk about a grinding game with the lead. Soft hands and patience in the neutral zone, but prior to that, it was the save and then everybody coming back to the house to get the rebound. And there’s the result. The book ends are an impressive win at Utah and a very impressive win tonight in Vegas. Lightning take it 63 final. They’ve won six of their last seven. [Music]
Nikita Kucherov and Brandon Hagel each tallied two goals and an assist to lift the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 6-3 win over the Vegas Golden Knights. Both Ivan Barbashev and Mitch Marner recorded three points in the loss.

Knights played a great 1st period. The 2nd and 3rd periods they looked like a beer league team. The production has not come from the 3rd and 4th lines this year. Unfortunately they traded away players that could score and replaced them with players that get unnecessary penalties.
Kuuuuch!

There was one point this season the Lightning were the 3rd worst team? when they went 1 and 6 to start the season and now they just won 6 out of 7 is impressive.

Kuhc , ,, I'm used to passing the ball
I absolutely love the hustle and relentless pressure the Lightning are putting on their opponents since the last game vs Vegas… the effort didn't result in a win over the Avs but 2 of 3 on the road against quality opponents is pretty dang sweet… Go Bolts…
Hanifin assist 4 lightining goal
Kinda odd that sportsnet chose the highlights from the away team broadcast but not really now that i think about it…
