BREAKING: The Colorado Rockies are finalizing a deal with Paul DePodesta

Rock on Rockies fans. Paul here from the lockdown Rockies podcast sitting at an airport here as big news for the Rockies. Paul Deodesta from the Cleveland Browns is now going to be heading up the Rockies president of baseball operations. I can’t say that this move makes me feel a ton of confidence. I mean, if you look at the track record of the Cleveland Browns over the last decade that he’s been a part of the team, and if you consider the fact that this is now a guy that has to refamiliarize himself with baseball, the baseball is not the same place. It’s a completely different game. And and yes, he is analytics. Yes, he was in Moneyball and we can now do the Jodah Hill gifts or whatever. But I don’t think that this is going to be to me when when you had people in the building, experienced baseball people in the building and then this is where you end up. Especially when you think about the fact that there’s ties to Dan Odow. There’s always a Rockies tie. There’s always a Rocky’s tie. I don’t know. We’ll wait for the news to be official, but initial reaction, not impressed.

  1. Hiring somebody from the Cleveland Browns is arguably the worst choice any organization could make. What have the Browns accomplished that would make anybody confident that they know what they’re doing. This is such a classic move by the Rockies. Can’t wait for 10 more years of sucking

  2. Browns fan here, we are all celebrating this guy is finally gone. Paul is a fucking bum! Overpayed loser that does nothing more than fuck shit up! Sorry for your loss Colorado, you will be in our prayers
