[Highlight] Chiefs offered the Jets a 4th round pick for Breece Hall, but were rejected

Before yall wanna act like GMs, multiple teams interested in hall. Obviously none thought what the jets were asking for was worth it for a rental. I wanted him too but I trust multiple
GMs over my own opinion
Kind of figured we would try to get him for less then a 3rd
we would have rushed him like 8 times a game anyway
It would have been an exciting pickup but I get not giving up the third rounder. We do have the extra 4th from the Thuney trade, might have been what Veach was offering.
In half his games this year Breece Hall hasn’t rushed for more than 60 yards and if you remove the Bengals and Cowboys games he’s averaging 3.94 YPC which is worse than Pacheco and Hunt
This means that Veach:
A) Thought the chiefs were good enough to win a SB as the team is currently composed
or
B) Thought the chiefs were further away than a RB to being able to compete for a SB this year
Best case scenario that’s the last pick of the 3rd round which is basically a 4th
Why horde these picks? To make more bad Dline picks in the 2nd/3rd?
Idiotic by the Jets. So they *might* get a 5th or 6th round comp pick in 2027? They’re 1-7 and have no meaningful games left this season. They have to extend Hall now or completely lose value on him.
The jets GM is going to look dumb when breece leave in FA
I wish they went for help on the d line, we need to get pressure on the QB without sending a blitz
All is not lost. This drama all but guarantees we will be the front runner for him in free agency. He now knows the Chiefs are interested, no tampering needed.
Jets should’ve jumped on the 4th round pick. They’re not getting anything more than that and he’s leaving after this losing season.
Give you my fruit cup for your king sized candy bar
I’m happy they didn’t budge
It’s a contract year for him and we don’t pay RBs. Would’ve been a 3rd round rental.
Would it have been a huge mistake to give up one of the 2 third round picks next year, and use the money we save from jawaan Taylor to pay Breece? I feel like that would have been reasonable.
if you could have gotten him for just a 3rd round pick as is being suggested online – something we have 0 way of actually confirming – and we tried to lowball as if the goal of every season isn’t SB or bust, this is just another self inflicted wound on a season defined by them

Chiefs have spent almost 10 straight weeks beating themselves, it is what it is,
can’t have a great season every season
It depends on if the parameters were a fourth for Hall and the Jets said no we need a third.
If they give up a third but get Hall and a fifth or sixth back…that’s different.
Ah yes, why trade a third for a very good RB when our gm has such amazing picks in the third round like Derrick Nnadi, Dorian O’Daniel, Khalen Saunders, Lucas Niang, Wanya Morris, and Leo Chenal. Obviously too early to judge this years picks, but so far Veach has whiffed on EVERY. SINGLE. Third round pick. I dare you to go through his entire draft history, he’s awful at it.
To be fair our 4th is basically a 5th
With Patrick here it’s always going to be pass first run second
Organizational malpractice by the JETS. Who will lose lose him for nothing
