Ayton has outplayed Wemby, Sabonis, and Gobert (2x) this season. DominAyton indeed πŸ‘πŸ”₯

  1. Suns were so happy to get rid of him to blow it up just to be completely irrelevant to the NBA again

  2. And these are against All-Star centers in the West.

Gobert even looked like prime Shaq in one or two games against us last year.

It’s really great knowing we have a starting-caliber center. πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

  3. Thought this would be another Bynum 2.0 situation in terms of talent > effort and Ayton has been a surprise

  4. I’ve been optimistic from the start. He’s a legit center. Just needed the right team. Time will tell if this can be sustained, but he’ll only get better with time.

  5. Tbh I felt great when DA was signed. The Lakers don’t need a paint runner, they need a paint presence. And DA delivered it. It creates so much opportunities for Luka, LeBron and AR and it relieves them so much for creating easy inside shots.

  6. How would he perform against Jokic would probably really tell how good Ayton is this season.

  7. Good feet. Good athleticism. He doesn’t have the skill to do what Jokic and some stretch centers do, but he’s highly efficient, and a lot of his impact plays carry a premium with respect to winning. Especially because it can’t be replaced by this roster.

  8. Fuck man I wish we had a center last year there’s no guarantee we make it past round 2 or even if we did OKC would still be a monumental task to get through but I definitely think we could’ve gotten past the Wolves

  9. Ill repost from another thread.

Ayton is a Borderline top 10 center rn

    Among centers who qualifiy:

    10th in ppg(less then half a point from 8th)
    1st in fg%(min 9 shots)
    13th in rebounds per game
    11th in blocks per game

Pretty good for a guy who is anywhere from a 3rd to 5th option.

  10. I don’t even care about his stat line really. What really shows is his effort. He’s been going out every night like he’s got something to prove. He’s rising to the occasion. He seems like he’s really wanting to earn the respect of his teammates and JJ.

  11. Lets be completely real though. Marcus Smart outplayed Wemby lol. Single handedly took it upon himself to foul that man out lol

  12. I loved his attitude man. And i think he respect JJ a lot, and also JJ believes in him that he can play into high level, as long he puts the work on it.
