Just watched this interview from only a week before the Luka trade, when Nico was in active trade talks with the Lakers, praising Luka and calling his value to the Mavs “immeasurable” — which is wild in hindsight.

  1. He will be responsible for making Luka a champion, maybe as soon as only 1 year after this interview.

    Fire Nico. Sell the team.

  2. I can’t believe he hasn’t been fired yet. Many GM’s have been fired for much less.

  3. People lie, they have deals going on and never tell the media the truth. This is nothing new and especially nothing new in sports & multimillion dollar businesses.

  4. Im all on the fire Nico wagon 100%, but I also feel like we dont question enough how the Lakers ALWAYS get what they want somehow. Like honestly, how is that??? They get ultra generational mega star after another along with amazing role players. Wtf.

  5. Where did you find this? I rememeber seeing this on a Slovenian website but later being removed and hadn’t been able to find it since

  6. Two-faced lying pig. You listen to the guy for 5 seconds and you feel he is a snake.

Then, you question your own civility and say – appearance is deceiving, such a respectable track record.

Trust your feelings ppl. Fire Nico, sell the team. Or move to Vegas, who the f cares.

  7. either dude is a great liar (i can’t see any hint of hatred or bitterness towards luka)

    or

the trade idea came from way above his pay grade (part of the reason why he wasn’t fired after the trade)

  8. I LOATHE nico but a part of me believes the nba manufactured this trade and he is paid money he has never seen before just to be the fall man. No way he goes to slovenia to support luka and say the thing he said in this video just for him to backdoor luka a week later

  9. I’m not a conspiracy nut or anything, but I 100% believe this trade was orchestrated by a higher power. No way it wasn’t. There are far too many coincidences that line up around this entire trade for this not to have been.

  10. I guess he was just hyping him up for the trade he already knew he was doing and hoping the lakers organization would see this..smh

  11. I’ll admit. I looked at y’all’s roster after the trade and felt like you had a squad. But then Kyrie went down. Then AD didn’t come into camp in shape. Then he went down with injury.

Meanwhile…Luka is in the best shape of his life and putting up numbers at a historical rate.

Couldn’t have gone worse for Nico.

  12. Crazy how no one sees Nico as the fall guy. Follow the money you’ll see who’s really responsible for this trade.
