  1. Who knew doing coke with some weird white rich kid in the late 80s would have so many benefits

  2. Was Darryl on The Apprentice? ….and Darryl was on the Yankees ….Trump roots for the Yankees

  3. Was debating getting a Seaver or Strawberry jersey, glad I got my answer. Catch me n’ tom in the 500’s next season

  4. I’ll take the downvotes. Daryl needs to be in prison. I don’t care if he’s a Mets legend or not. The rich need to pay their fair share.

  5. This is pretty interesting in that there are a lot of emotions to sort through on this. Most of those who hate Trump don’t want to admit that anything that he does is good. Mets fans love the feel good of this story. What a conflict! But when you look at the situation with Darryl Strawberry, he already paid his debt to society , both financial and prison time, for his crimes and has turned his life around. The pardon does not do much for him. It’s not like he could live without it. It seems to me that this is a good pardon in that it is not controversial. I’m happy for Darryl.

  6. He served his time already. This is just trying to scratch some good political capital back after the recent elections made it even more obvious America blames the party in power for the shutdown

  7. I don’t know how anyone could see this as anything other than at least a decent thing to do. Straw served time back when this happened and also paid back the money he owed. He did exactly what he had to do and then went on to turn his life around and become a productive member of society who now attempts to help others. Honestly, I think this is the exact and really only thing pardons make sense for. He served his time and paid his debt and has been on a good path for years now, so I think he absolutely has earned this. Anyone who believes in reforming criminals, especially for non-violent crimes, should be applauding this because it’s exactly how the system should work.

  8. Shit. Like how am I supposed to react to this. I really want the best for Darryl, but good god.

  9. I’m gonna guess that he doesn’t care about Straw and is doing literally anything to distract from the fact that he’s having one of the worst weeks of his presidency
