If you go by DRS. Statcast does not like him as much. The Rays internal numbers love him as well so I’m guessing statcast is missing something.
Certainly one of the more interesting careers. To be able to say you were THE best at an aspect of the game (and not an insignificant aspect at that) and never receive any accolades or league wide recognition because of hitting deficiencies and playing in a small market.
The man is pure poetry in motion with a baseball glove.
And the Rays picked up his option, and added one for another year. His defense is superb, and he’s getting (a bit) better at the plate.

Anytime you’re ahead of andrelton Simmons in a defensive statistic, you’re doing pretty well!
