Tennessee Titans fan is depressed watching the Titans-Texans Week 4 NFL Preview
Tennessee Titans fans, it has been an insane week to be a fan of this team. We’ve got head coaches giving up their play calling duties. We’ve got promising young players being traded for bag of chips. And now we’ve got our 0 and3 Titans traveling to play the 0 and3 Texans. Something’s got to give. Somebody’s got to win this dang thing. Let’s watch the NFL preview for this game. I’m going to say I’m going to say one person might pick the Titans. A little Skard ball for you. Someone is getting in the win column. Winless Tennessee Titans on the road in Houston to take on a Texans squad that’s just as desperate to snap their three-game losing streak. Crowds pass. They may have gotten a piece and that is picked. Texans offense yet to go for 20 points this. Very surprised at how bad Houston has been through the first three weeks. I think Houston’s been horrible. I think CJ Strad looks bad. Can’t believe I mean I can’t believe how bad they’ve looked here. Titans offense yet to hit 21 and they seem to have the bigger mountain to climb being they face a Texans defense that has yet to allow 21 points. Held Jacksonville to just 17 in their loss four for 15 on third down. Hard to ask too much more from that group. Their running attack has not had much. They get a Tennessee offense coming off its highest scoring output of 2025. 20 isn’t usually going to get it done though. Cam Ward still looking to have that breakout game. He did go for 200 plus yards versus Indianapolis. His Cam Ward, if you watched on Patreon Tuesday when I broke down the highlights, you know how I feel about this. The pick six at the beginning of the game was obviously a low point for him. That was a terrible, terrible moment. But, uh, other than that, I actually thought Cam played mostly well. He held on to the ball too long sometimes. Uh but that, you know, again, you have to put it in context. You’re talking about a rookie who was played in his third game. Rookies are going to hold on to the ball too long sometimes. But I think Cam’s progressing nicely in spite of all of the nonsense around him. Um but he’s going to have his hands full this week. I know the Texans are 0 and three, but their defense is stout for sure. First 200 plus yard game. And Ward sidearms a fast ball right at the goal line. Still 219 yards isn’t catching anyone’s attention. A sub75 rate threw a bad pick that got taken to the house. Having a breakout performance versus Houston secondary is going to be tough. Held Trevor Lawrence to 5.6 yards per attempt. No touchdowns. One pick, a sub60 rate. Boy, just when the Texans defense needed to make a play. It’s Petri Ward faced a 40% pressure rate week three. That’s on the high side. Took four more sacks. At least they’re trending in the right direction. Took six week one, five week two. Hey, we’re head in the right direction. I thought the Titans offensive line was better in this game, but the Colts defensive front is kind of the weakness of their team. So, I am very worried about the Titans offensive line against the Texans defensive front. He’s under pressure. Ward is sacked. That seems like something Will Anderson and Denil Hunter could work with. Anderson has started the year off with a three-game sack streak. Well, that’s just Trevor holding on the ball too long right there. I don’t even know if you can see this because of copyright. Only sacked Lawrence twice on 40 pass attempts. Allowed Brian Thomas to go for 55 yards. Tight end Brenton Strange 61. Tennessee tight end Chigga Conquo was their lead week three pass catcher. Most of his yards came in garbage. Conquo is tight end. And that’s a great weapon to loosen the reigns a little bit. None of Tennessee’s wide outs made it to 40 yards and none of their running backs made it to 50 on the ground. Tony Pard scored, only 45 yards, 2.8 per carry. And now he goes up against Houston defense that held the previously hot Travis ETN to 3.5 a pop. Houston not fooled. ETN Titans off to get their offensive engine revving. But can Houston’s offense get anything going? But worth noting. I mean, that’s where this comes into play, right? The Titans have a new play caller on Sunday with Bo Hardigree taking over play calling from Brian Callahan. How will that change things? Will he have a better idea of how to work around the insufficiencies of the the offensive line? I don’t know. We’ll see. 10 points last week versus a Jags defense. Not expected to end at the top of the D totem pole either. three straight weeks to start the year without dropping even a meager 20 spot. Four for 15 on third down last week. Only made it to the red zone once. CJ Strad wide open. Collins Titans secondary gets CJ Strad off a 204 yd 5.4 yard. Who’s left in our secondary? I guess after the news of yesterday with Jarvis Brownley being traded. Guess we’re gonna have to see some Jaylen Omar Davis. Maybe some of the rookie Marcus Harris attempt one touchdown two pick 66 rating game hasn’t put up 210 passing yards in a game yet. They protect over the middle completes. So how about a Titans secondary that gave up 228 to Daniel Jones on 9.1 per attempt. Gave up a 110 plus rate to him. Jones right through the middle to Pitman and touchdown Colts. Tennessee’s defense, another one that’s had to work behind the eightball a lot. They held Indianapolis to two for eight on third down, didn’t play Indianapolis’s wide receivers great, giving up 67 yards to Alec Pierce. Titans defense was flat out atrocious against the Colts. Now they square up with Houston’s Nico Collins, who rambles in off his first 100yard game of the year. He did score. Get ready, Legious. No other Texans pass catcher with 40 yards. Straoud was sacked a couple times by Jacksonville gave him 38 chances to get to him though. Pressure rate faced not too high. Titans pass rush 25 tries to get to Jones make it home once and their front gave up three touchdowns to Jonathan Taylor on six yard inside the 10 into the end zone. Touchdown Jonathan Taylor. Texans run game actually very efficient in their week three loss only 19 carries for 87 yards but hit at 4.6 Six per John CJ Strad looking everyone covered he’s going to run for it only one team since 1990 has started 0 and4 and made the playoffs so you know that makes this kind of a win or go home game these two have been going at it twice a year since 2002 Titans lead the series 24 to22 how about the highest scoring game between them let’s transport back to 2007 oh god this game field goal Rob Baronus, we miss you, Rob. Led 32-7 after three periods. Yeah, this is where they almost came back and won. It was embarrassing. And then Rob hits the field goal at the end. All right, let’s see the picks from the experts. I told you one person would pick the Titans and that one person did it. Jeremiah has the Texans 31-20. Wolf 2013 Texans. Rank 137 Texans. That’s kind of boring game we’re looking for. Grant 2116 Texans. Brooks 2211 Texans. MJD the lone person who picked the Titans 20-7. Gordon 2717 Texans. Shook 1716 Texans. Edol 2317 Texans. Patra 2417 Texans. You know you’re bad when you’re playing another bad team that’s winless and everybody’s still picking the other bad team. It’s when you know you you’re you’ve reached different levels of bad. We’re going to talk all about this on Friday on the podcast. I’ll make my prediction. Everything’s in chaos and disarray in the Titans organization right now. But what else is new? It’s where we’ve been for three years. Tie up.

Your doom and gloom mentality is really starting to annoy!
I predict a tie 👔
You really think we got a chance?! Nobody should never pick us again. Houston offense looks bad and still looks better then this garbage offense.
I'm thinking this might be the only game will win this year maybe 2 at the end of the year cause teams will sit there playoff players out. We can't even do basic fundamental football the penalties on lining up list goes on iv seen better playing with high school football ohh brother.
I don't see things getting better for this franchise unless AAS sells the team.
Stevie Wonder could read this offense
Another loss seems inevitable. The Texans' offense has been struggling, but they might catch a break since they're facing a defense that can't generate pressure and a secondary that struggles to cover anyone.
Can we not hire a competent offensive coordinator what does ours do.
Ward will be better this week
Weather forecast looks good for Nashville area on Sunday. Are you going to waste an afternoon of nice fall weather to watch this miserable excuse for a professional football team – the Tennessee Titans? Why subject yourself to such emotional torment week after week for no ROI? ðŸ˜
But yet last week you laughed when everyone picked Colts and they are undefeated but dont complain when they pick the other 0-3 to beat yall
Week 4, already battle for 1st pick in next draft 😂
Hell, at this point, I'm happy with a tie. Show some kind of improvement. Rookie QB making his first real bad mistake in the 3rd game is just fine with me. Levis was bad mistake after bad mistake starting from game 1. R.I.P. Bironas. Bironas died just months after being released, in a drunk driving accident. I've always wondered if the release led to a depression that led to him drinking. We will never know, but I've always wondered.
As a Colts fan I hope you all beat the texans. Don't feel bad about the professionals' opinions. Colts have been busting butt and we only got 1 pick to win against the rams. We should Both prove em wrong.
Pick a new team already!
Man the Titans are trash, you will grow gray hair, stressing about the Titans. So pre-prep your Titans lose video this week, Houston will score easy, just watch.
This is going to get more depressing do not get your hopes up about the texans
Well, I am a Texan fan and going to comment. Our team is not in the best of shape. A LOT of issues down here; Skittish qb, dysfunctional offense, a TERRIBLE OL, a defense that keeps getting penalties. This game could go either way.
As a Lions fan with absolutely no skin in the game for what happens in the AFC I have to say this game could go either way. I think if Brian Callahan can pull his head out of his back end and actually do a good job at coaching the game and the play calling being better under a new play caller I can see the Titans winning this. If CJ Stroud turns into rookie CJ Stroud and their OL gets a clue then the Texans have a chance at winning
I feel like this game is gonna be wild.
Game on Titans
the only reason mjd picked us to win vs colts and texans is because hes a hater 😂
