Also one of the most bizarre color commentators ever with the radio broadcast. Feisty wildcard.
anytime someone says the name Richie, i reply “Richie Adubato?” and they are always like who?
He was great. Old school guy. I won a contest and got to sit with him and Dennis Neumann courtside during our finals run season in 2008-2009. He couldn’t have been nicer or more welcoming. Dennis was super cool too. RIP Richie.
Took a pic with him at duffys in lake Mary a few years ago. Talked ball for about 20 mins and he was so chill. Great coach. Wacky dude. Rip.
RIP
LOVED him on the radio. That’s my childhood right there. RIP Richie
Did a hell of a job taking over for B-Hill in ‘97.
An all-time character with his seersuckers and commentary. I’ll miss his guarantees.
RIP
I submit that if Orlando had won game 5 of their first round series against Miami in 97, it would be the biggest upset and comeback in NBA playoff history given the circumstances.
