Tyrese Maxey currently has the 6th-best MVP odds

  1. MVPs are unfortunately built on multiple season narratives. This is a good start to his 2026-27 campaign.

  2. I teeter on degenerative when it comes to making futures bets but not even I am taking this flier on Maxey, even if I do multiple lines of hopium before looking at the book. He’s simply not going to win it this year, if ever. A lot would have to break his way including injuries to those top guys plus continuing to play out of his mind. A next leap season for Maxey is probably averaging 33 pts a game, continuing to be the guy for the Sixers, making a 2nd team All NBA team and maybe even landing in the top 5 in mvp voting.

    Fuck it. $20 on Tyrese.

  3. Sixers likely won’t have a good enough record for a real mvp candidate, but it’s been great to see Maxey with his shot back

  4. I think he’s for sure top 15, probably top 10. I think if he keeps it up he’ll be at the level of Brunson, Edwards, Mitchell. Not a top 5 player but a very skill superstar and franchise player.

  5. Award’s gonna go to the best player for a top 1-2 seed in the conference.

Makes sense why the favorites are who they are, especially in a more competitive West.

Maxey’s def not getting it but would obviously love to be proven wrong!

  6. I love Maxey but there is no way that this pace he is on is sustainable with the amount of minutes he’s been playing. Plus as we hopefully get more shooters in the rotation in PG and as McCain ramps up, he’ll be taking less shots.
