The Texans Must Do This To Beat The Jaguars & SHOCK The NFL
[Music] Welcome into Texans Today, everybody. I’m your host, Jeremy Chugs, and on today’s show, I’m going to tell you how the Texans can shock the world. I know the chances are slim, but when there’s a will, there’s a way. And I do think there’s a way that your Houston Texans can come out this Sunday with a victory in a must-win game up against an AFC South opponent, the Jacksonville Jaguars. They beat the Raiders last week in overtime by one point. Your Houston Texans lost on a last second field goal to the Denver Broncos, which we all know was a tough tough loss for this squad. But, you know, five losses on the season. There’s still a chance. So, you’re saying there’s a chance and I’m going to tell you how the Texans can have a better chance to make the playoffs because they need to win this weekend up against the Jags. Before we get into that, I will be live this weekend and I’m live for every single Texans game during the season. Make sure you hit that subscribe button for daily Texans videos, weekly watch parties, all 100% free. Join the number one Texans channel here on YouTube by going down and hitting that subscribe button. Like I said, the only place that’s doing it 100% for free the way we’re doing it. All right, first let’s look at some key injuries because CJ Strad, Ka Fairbar basically already ruled out for this Sunday’s game and Titus Hour, Jaylen Petri, it’s not looking good for them either. Both of those guys dealing with concussions and have not practiced at all this week. So, let’s look at how the Texans can possibly get a win, scrap out a win up against their divisional opponent, the Jacksonville Jaguars. First off, you have a backup quarterback. You got to give Mills some run game. you got to give him some semblance of a run game to make the Jags, you know, respect that aspect of this Texans offense. And with Nick Chub, he missed on Wednesday, was back to practice on Thursday. But I think me, a lot of Texans in uh fans included are looking at this guy right here, Woody Marks. He’s been a spark plug whenever he’s gotten the ball in his hands in open space. Can the Texans get him those touches and can he make the most of it up against the Jags? This is going to be a very big key for the Texans, especially on the offensive side of the football, right? You were able to move the ball while CJ Strad was in the game. Even with Davis Mills, you know, getting inside the 5yd line, you weren’t able to punch it in for a touchdown. Can you get Woody Marks to help you move the ball down the field and possibly get seven instead of three this weekend up against the Jags? Next one. And it was funny. I rewatched the Texans versus Broncos game from this past week and one thing that stood out to me, I was actually talking to our Broncos host about it is the fact that the Broncos were able to win the field position battle more often than not in week nine. And that comes down to one, you know, being able to punt the ball and, you know, coffin corner, get them inside their own 15, 10 yardd line, which it was absolutely brutal. Tommy Townsen had an amazing punt and after they reviewed it, they said the Texans player had his foot on the goal line so it ended up being a touchback, not down at the one. That would have been massive for this Texans defense. You got to be able to try to pin them deep. If you’re not able to, you know, score the ball, you got to at least make sure that you’re not giving Trevor Lawrence, this Jags offense a short field. And on the other side, whenever your defense forces a punt, Jaylen Null, he’s been an electric punt returner so far this season for the Houston Texans, the rookie out of Iowa State. I want to see him continue that, you know, be able to have some electric returns, get the Texans in good uh field position, so it doesn’t have to be Davis Mills and the offense driving 80, 75 yards down the field. Now, I want to see Jaylen Null out there on punt returns, but I also want to see Jaylen Null more in the offensive game planning. up against the Broncos. He only had 11 offensive snaps, zero catches. He had one jet sweep that went for what, you know, minus two yards. I want to see the rookie out there more. And if you agree with me, go down, spam those 14s for Jaylen Null. I think we all want to see what this rookie can do because when he’s had the chances, he’s made the most of it. Just doesn’t seem like this coaching staff is getting giving him more and more opportunities as the weeks go on. This next one is going to be crucial. No turnovers. No turnovers. You cannot let the Jags, you know, get those turnovers, get in plus position because that’s kind of what, you know, led them to get the victory in week three, right? Like the Texans were driving the ball down the field. Nico Collins fumbled inside the 20 yardd line. They subsequently take the ball down the field and score on the game-winning touchdown drive. So, I’m looking at you, Davis Mills. Can you be a game manager? You’ve been somebody who’s been able to move down the ball down the field. the Texans, they extended him, gave him gave him, you know, $7 million to be the backup quarterback for your Houston Texans. Can he just manage the game, not throw interceptions and keep this offense on track? We saw what the Cardinals and Jacobe Brassette were able to do, and they actually named Brcett the starter for the next couple weeks for that Arizona team. And I’m not saying, you know, that same situation with the Texans, but you expect Mills to be one of the better backups in the NFL. That means being able to at least not lose this game for the Texans and maybe help this squad get in some good field position and possibly score some touchdowns up against Jacksonville. I have some more keys for your Houston Texans in just a moment. But before I do, quick word from our sponsor. I wouldn’t be able to do today’s show if it wasn’t for our amazing friends over at Prize Picks. Get started today with America’s number one daily fantasy sports app out there. Now, you don’t have to go to the feed tab for me to show you what my picks for this weekend are going to be. I’ll just tell you right now. I’m going Davis Mills.5 passing touchdowns. Come on, Mills Mafia. Let’s get into the end zone. Nico Collins. Him and Mills have a good connection. Remember during Mills’s two seasons as the starting uh starting quarterback for your Houston Texans developed a pretty good relationship with Nico Collins. I think that you know long-standing relationship between those two guys and the fact that they’re very comfortable with each other. I think we could definitely see a reception by Nico longer than 21 yards. I’m going Travis ETN. This one’s a fun one. His first rush less than three and a half yards. I think this Texans defense is going to come back with their hair on fire in this game. And then Trevor Lawrence.5 interceptions, which one of my keys I’ll get to here in just a moment. I’m going to more on that. You can use my picks or go make your own. Just do it with our friends over at Prize Pix. Download the Prize Pix app today. Use code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. That’s code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. Prize Pix, it’s good to be right. Next key to victory. And as I mentioned, I’m taking the more on the Trevor Lawrence interceptions because I think if the Texans want to win this game, they have got to have a defensive score or a massive play that sets them up in the red zone. I mean, I’m just being honest. This offense has been putrid. And now you take out CJ Strad, you put in Davis Mills, you also you might be missing your right tackle, you might be missing, you know, this, that, and the other on your offense. They had what, like 15 guys on the injury report for Thursday. You got to get something from your defense. And I know it’s asking a lot. This defense was lights out up against the Denver Broncos this past weekend, but you need them to give you some spark, some big play, some score. I’m looking at, you know, the secondary, namely Derek Stingley, Junior. He got paid, was the top paid quarterback in the NFL this past off season. Can he show that? Maybe come up with a pick six this weekend. Same with Kamari Ler, a the secondyear man out of Georgia. He had a lot of hype going into this year and he’s played really well opposite of Derek Stingley. Not known for his ball skills per se, but had a good amount of interceptions last year. Two interceptions on the year this year. So, can he make something happen? Maybe a forced fumble from the hard-hitting quarterback in Kamari. Also, Kayn Bulock, who maybe off to a little bit of a slow start up against the Rams, up against the Bucks. Maybe you attribute a lot of that to CJ Gardner Johnson and the fact that they didn’t have that good commu uh communication on the back end, but two interceptions on the year so far. Can Kaylin Bulock be the ball hawk that he was that rookie season this game and maybe come up with an interception or two up against Trevor Lawrence. I think this Texans team, they must get a defensive touchdown or a massive turnover in this game. You need something to set up your offense in plus position and it’s a home game. So, anytime you have a big defensive play, a turnover, anything like that, that automatically gets the crowd back into it. That automatically gets the place live and rowdy and gets everybody on their feet. And that’s what this Texans team needs because a lot of people have lost hope. A lot of people are upset with this squad. And I wouldn’t be surprised if you saw a lot of empty seats in NRG this weekend. But with the seats that do have butts in them, I need those people to be live. I need those people to be loud and rowdy. And how do you do that? Big plays on offense and takeaways on defense. And I don’t think we’re getting the first part. I don’t think we’re getting the big plays on offense, so we got to leave it up for the defense to get a big play in this weekend’s matchup. What say you though? Will the Texans force a turnover up against Jacksonville? For my prize fix lineup sake, I’m going with yes, because I have Trevor Lawrence more than.5 interceptions. What say you though? Do you think the Texans defense will force a turn turnover? I think they’re a top five unit in the NFL. So, I’m hitting my yes. All right, last up. You got to play like it’s a win or go home game. We saw this defense play balls to the wall for 60 minutes up against the Denver Broncos and it wasn’t quite enough. And I know it’s asking, you know, a a lot after a game like that, it probably takes a lot out of you. It was a very physical matchup against Denver, but you got to get back up and you got to do that same exact thing up against the Jags because when you look at the AFC playoff picture right now, I know it’s bleak and I know many Texans fans have already, you know, shifted it in. They’ve already said this season’s done. This season’s over with. But you got to look, the Chargers sitting there at the six seed, right? They’re without both their starting tackles. Both of them are out for the season. The Jags have their fair share of injuries. And you know, let’s be honest, it’s the Jags. So, they shouldn’t feel too comfortable with, you know, the season they’ve had so far. And, you know, besides that, there’s a couple teams there that might fall off. So, your Houston Texans are not down and out of it just yet. and you play the Buffalo Bills, you play the Jags this weekend, you play the Chargers, you play the Chiefs, all the teams that are ahead of you, play the Colts twice, you play them all for the rest of your remaining schedule. So, I know you’re going to be down down a lot of starters, but this is a divisional opponent and this game will impact the rest of the season. If you can win this game and possibly get some some momentum going, maybe you play the Bills on a Thursday night football where you’re the home team and, you know, eek out a win up against Josh Allen and that team. Then you’re sitting at that 500 record, you’re right back in it, right? So, let’s get a dub this weekend and let’s play 60 minutes of Swarm Football Balls to the wall. And I will be live 30 minutes before kickoff. Kickoff reminder is this Sunday, 12 o’clock central time. I’ll be live 30 minutes before giveaways. The best Texans community on YouTube and we will be cheering on our Houston Texans. Hopefully to shock the world and get a win over Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars. DOWWWWWNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH YEAH
Let's go h town 14
#texans 14 🤟
I got Jags. 27-13. On to draft talk after this one.
🤘😎🤘 14
14
Why don’t they consider trying Mertz at QB? I thought he balled out in preseason
I don’t care if we tank the rest of the season WE NEED TO WIN THIS GAME.
I can’t handle getting swept by the stupid Jags….
14!!
More check downs to Woody = Win.
(3-6) coming soon. Before I get hate I’m a Texans fan but this team is a huge disappointment this year.
Texans 20 and Jags 13…..Let's Go Texans!!!!!
I’d love to have faith but idk how any of us can at this point. Week in and week out we give this team a punchers chance and they don’t punch. On offense at least, and this is never going to get better as long as that offensive line stays the same. It sucks i know but they are who they are and there’s no magic switch to flip. They’re okay against bad defensive lines and just nonexistent against good defensive lines. They can’t move anybody and they’re all soft. I hate it too but the season is over.
I’d love to see them get the rookies involved more. There is just no production on the offense so they might as well let the rooks get reps and give the fans something to hope for and look forward too. I got jags winning this 20-6, so when is the mock draft starting? Lol
I like the way my homie has high hopes but come on bro that’s a lot of what ifs
NGl last Sunday, I did my half time ritual that got us the 3 wins this year, but I made a mistake and picked up glass bottle models instead of can ones like I did on the other games. I will retry this Sunday with the proper tribute, and I'll report my findings.
Win turnover battle,LOSE THE GAME IS THE RESULT!!🎉🎉
It won't be that shocking if the Texans win. It is Jacksonville after all.
If mills have a good game the texans should trade cj Stroud asap
Pfft…it is a fail regardless.
We’ll lose again unless the defense can score TDs cause this offense and play calling sucks.
YES TEXANS TURNOVER 4 TORO HEAD'S H-TOWN IT'S GOING DOWN!!!
