I’ll never forget when it was announced that the Tigers picked up Zack McKinstry. I could have never been more disappointed. Was I ever wrong. Congratulations Zack. Way to rub my nose in it. You are a good player.

Zach started going day-2-day on 9/7 and was scratched on 9/9. Taking season start to 9/7, he was hitting around 790 OPS and 850 OPS against LHP.
He was definitely less effectively after his injury so hopefully he recovers for next season.

I didn’t realize they gave them to utility guys so I had to look it up and it’s only been since 2022, nice recognition for Z.
for people asking why he got it and not garcia or rice, its because voters have no criteria, and probably saw mckinstry as the only true utility player who was also a good hitter. rice and garcia are better hitters, but they arent true utility players
Triples stat is unreal. Would have been 13 if not thrown out.
