Next time you hear that it’s cost prohibitive and they’d be replacing the field all the time, or any other excuse, just remember this. This is how owners who care about their team act. Not the decades of dysfunction that we’re accustomed to.

Best we can do is a Medium Pepsi, will that suffice?
Better to let your star WR bust up his knee than spend a few bucks on a better playing surface…
I still can’t believe that the World Cup said they wouldn’t play on our surface so they are catering to them and then not keeping it because it costs more to maintain 🤡
At this point I don’t care what the statistics say. Mara and team not doing this is precisely why they continue to lose and find themselves in shitty injury situations. I want the owner to act like he is invested in the team winning games at any expense they can afford. From what I remember one of the reasons they don’t want put turf in is that met life is used as a concert hall and the cost associated with real grass that’s being used and a concert hall is even higher than turf. The “business” of the giants should come second to winning games. The investment is more important as a show of support from an ownership team that is as invested in the success of the football team as the players who put their bodies and health on the line everyweek. It’s embarrassing to be a team in this league that is a constant loser, but has a good profit margin and healthy looking financial accounts.
Not to mention, Denver gets similarly shitty, rainy, snowy, cold, icy weather. And New York has two teams to split the cost.
The Waltons are the richest NFL owners, something to keep in mind when comparing us to Denver if costs are involved.
The other thing these complaints seem to ignore is Metlife is shared between two franchises. Any change has to be signed off by both the Giants and Jets. It also results in the field getting twice as much wear and tear compared to every other stadium except SoFi, which is located in a better climate for managing grass year round.
They updated the turf a few years ago and all modern studies point to the injury rate being normal now. It’s no longer a problem. We have lots of reasons to hate the Maras but this complaint is outdated.
This is the laziest fucking argument on this sub. MetLife changed their turf years ago exactly to what a bunch of other teams are using.
It takes 2 minutes to look it up instead of regurgitating the same old shit.
Large Cokes baby
I had a field pass for the game last week, I was shocked by how hard and slippery the turf is.
Every grass field is re sodded mid-season
So many people are missing the point. The broncos are doing this PREEMPTIVELY for PLAYER SAFETY. They are actively taking measures to ensure their investments (players) are in the best position possible to succeed. THIS is what serious ownership does.
Mara gives zero fucks about the players or he would work with Jets ownership and come up with a way to put grass in MetLife.
Two sets of billionaires and they can’t afford it? Bullshit…

Same turf as Falcons, Lions, Seahawks. Lot of things to make fun of Giants but they did change the turf.

Want a new field? Best I can do is a new ACL.
