Kiley McDaniel projects free agent contracts for his top 50 ranked free agents.

There are lots of interesting arms on this list, both starters and relievers.

  1. I don’t see the Giants seeing Tucker as “worth it” he’s a great player but I don’t think he’s exciting or brings people to the park.

You look at recent big contracts like Ohtani, Soto, Vladdy, Judge, even Devers. Tucker might be as good for the contract he’ll get as those guys, but he’s not going to drive people to the park outside of him contributing to a winning team.

At least with someone like Alonso you could sell some polar bear hats lol. I just can’t imagine the Giants paying a “boring” player record breaking money until he’s 40.

  2. I foresee the Giants stocking up on pitching this year. However as great as some of the FA bats are, none of them would move the needle much to improve attendance.

Makes me wonder if Posey would kick the tires on a trade if the value was good enough.

  3. I’m of the mind that the Giants should avoid signing guys with QOs attached because they’ve done it so much over the last few years, and at this point we need every draft picks we can get.

That said, I do find Ranger Suarez and Michael King alluring. Interested in what kind of offers Devin Williams will get.

Imai is a pitcher of interest to me too, but that posting fee is gonna be hefty. Ponce is 100% a “fuck it, why not?” signing I’d like to see. Give me that Vogelsong-esque comeback story.

    Bring submarine man back, Buster

  4. Realmuto could be an interesting option, we desperately need a solid backup for Bailey and he could get that job done

There’s a lot of ways we can improve this offseason imo
