  4. Arte could throw all the money in the world at him, and I’m not sure it matters. I cannot imagine how damaged the Angels are in Japan after wasting Ohtani.

  6. You all fail to realize that free agents have to want to come here. If I were good and had my pick of which organization to play for I wouldn’t pick the angels. The truth is this team doesn’t need a couple big name free agents they need to fix the back of house issues and build an entire farm system. Free agents are for filling in gaps and giving your team the little extra it needs to go from good to great, it’s not going to fix this dumpster fire.

  8. To answer your body text. Dude hits the shit out of the ball, but also strikes out a shit ton. Like a concerning amount especially for this team. As a third baseman he is poor defensively and as someone said earlier, hes a DH, maybe 1B

  13. I was already generally out on Murakami before, but I saw James Schiano post a stat on twitter that completely blew my mind. According to him (with help from Yakyu Cosmopolitan), Murakami had a .095 batting average against pitches 93 mph or harder last season in the NPB

  15. I would be pissed if they sign him. His contact profile won’t lead to success in MLB
