This is not a fire drill as Jim Maloney on the mound, Pete Rose playing 3rd as one of the Connie Mack Stadium’s scoreboards is on fire 🔥

What’s the story here?
The all time hits leader in a game where a scoreboard has caught fire is not Pete Rose. It’s Vada Pinson.
Classic phillies LFG /s

A couple people just casually sitting underneath the flaming scoreboard.
I like the old days. I remember the Fulton County Stadium pressbox catching fire during BP the day of Fred McGriff’s was traded to the Braves. AFD put out the fire, BP continued and the game was played that night.
If that happened nowadays they would evacuate the stadium and cancel the game.
