Hawks in the wild card… nice
Somebody pointed out the other night on my message board that the Sabres were one point out of last place and I pointed out there were also one point out of a playoff spot
Mom said it’s my turn to post this tomorrow
Ah yes 500 because OT losses aren’t losses
Less practice time, and more travel in the west.
This condensed schedule has been rough
Framing the standings like that only makes me hate the loser point even more. Get rid of it or make regulation wins worth 3.
Does my heart wonders to see Washington and Florida currently out of the playoff picture. Probably won’t last, but still
It’s November.
Misleading. Not every East team is above .500 wins, just at or above in points percentage.
I was sitting here like hang on aren’t the canes doing well? Then I saw wild card.
This isn’t interesting, it’s indicative of a broken scoring system.
Eliminate the loser point now.
No one in the east wants Mckenna
Tampa has recovered nicely
Calling teams who have more losses than wins a .500 team feels so wrong
.500 doesn’t mean shit with this goofy ass point system. Most of these teams have more losses than wins
Lol only in the NHL. The east really has 4 teams with losing records

Misleading because it’s not even accurate? Lmfao
Hang in there Sharks. We got this.
Lol the flames are just running around, padding everyone’s stats.
Why only 20 teams?! “Everyone” is doing a lot of work here.
Fascinating how Colorado disappeared from the list entirely.
What’s your definition of .500? Because you put up that they are at a points percentage over 500. That is still a nice feat, but also a reason why the 3 pointer is kind of dumb. And should be on a 3-2-1 system if that’s how they won’t to handle it.
First time the east has been better than the west top to bottom in a while. Wonder if it will hold up.
I mean… OTL should be considered a loss, no?
Overtime losses mean nothing to anyone anymore… I hate the point system. It should be 3 points for a win in regulation, 2 points for a win in overtime, 1 point for a loss in overtime, and 0 points for a loss in regulation. Simple math.
And surprisingly enough, both in the west and in the east, there are 4 teams who made the playoffs last year and are currently below the playoff line
Does .500 in hockey even mean much if only 6/32 teams are below it?
“Everyone in the East is at least .500. Out West, not so much” isn’t it because West A) is more competitive B) West better than East.
If all goes right for the Sharks… they may find themselves at a playoff spot tonight! 🤣crazy !
The Blues suck, but they shut out the Sabers. Such is the way of sports.
4 teams in the east have more losses than wins
I hate how the NHL defines .500, the Sabres have won 5 games and lost 9. I don’t care how many loser points they have collected, if OT wins are just wins. OT losses are losses.
Whats with the Kraken??
Colorado does not exist
Leafs in a wildcard…
East is taking over hockey this season but celebrini is having a terrific year.
