I was really frustrated by Shulga’s effort on multiple occasions tonight, but this play takes the cake. The Celtics forced a much-needed stop down three with 90 seconds left, creating a 3-on-2 transition opportunity that would have been 4-on-2 if Shulga had run the floor. Instead, he "runs" like he's headed to the car to grab his wallet after forgetting it in the checkout line, getting beat to half court by Jaylen Sims, who was in the restricted area while Shulga was outside the three-point line. The possession ended in a Celtics bucket anyway courtesy of Ron Harper Jr., but that’s beside the point. Completely unacceptable effort from a late second-rounder who is fighting for his NBA life, or at least should be. He should do some research on Anton Watson, our late second rounder in 2024 who was waived without ever seeing an NBA floor.
On a more positive note, really solid performances tonight from our other two-way contract players:
Amari Williams:
25-10-4-0-1
10/11 FGA | 0/0 3PA | 3/5 FTA
Ron Harper Jr.:
29-6-3-2-1
8/20 FGA | 5/14 3PA | 4/5 FTA
Max Shulga Will be Anton Watson 2.0

Yeah he brings nothing but ball handling to the table. Was awful in summer league.
I hope not! I thought he had some interesting skills in SL
Is that right Amari Williams was 10/11 from the field with 10 rebs? I like the sound of that!!!!!!!!!!
