Help is On the Way for the Winnipeg Jets
[Music] finally changed up the intro. But anyway, how you guys doing? We got a lot to talk about today with the Winnipeg Jets and their injury situation. As you know, it’s been a big topic here throughout the first month of hockey. Obviously, Adam Lowry had offseason hip surgery and would not be ready until early November at the least. We’ll come back to that in just a second. And then in the preseason, Samberg and Perfetti both went down with injuries, long-term injuries, but we may see them soon. A lot of people were worried about the Jets and how they would start looking at their lineup. Me one of them, and uh you know, I think most fans were, but they go 93 and 0 through their first 12 games without three of their most important players. That’s pretty impressive. Obviously, not all of these wins were necessarily, you know, Picassos, but that’s kind of what I expected at the beginning of the year. Wins were going to be bonus at at that point, right? I just didn’t expect we’d, you know, have so many here. Seems like the Jets have been playing better hockey as of late. Admittedly, not playing some of the best opponents uh you know, in the NHL, but you got to beat those teams, too. And I thought the Jets look pretty good against Chicago, against Pittsburgh, who’s had a really nice start to the year. and you know they’re starting to improve a little bit more five on five. They’re starting to you know be a better hockey team. And on Monday we got word that the Jets are getting some more help as Adam Lowry is going to be returning to the Jets lineup. Now Morgan Baron on the other hand he is going to be week to week with an injury. Baron’s had a really nice start to the season but with Adam Lowry coming back you know it’s not a terrible time to get this injury. Not that any time is a good time, but Morgan Baron comes out. Adam Lowry will slot in on the third line. So, Lowry back in the lineup. That’s very exciting. Uh, now what’s the status of Cole Perfetti and Dylan Samberg? Well, they’re going to be on the six-game road trip that the Jets are starting on Tuesday night. Something that I didn’t see coming necessarily. I thought maybe Perfetti would be there soon. Uh, you know, Samberg and Perfetti have both been skating uh with non-cont uniforms. and Scott Neil saying that there is a possibility that we could see them near the end of this road trip. So, that would be a huge boost, right? You know, I’ve talked about how important Dylan Samberg is in videos prior to this. I’ve talked about how much of a boost I think Cole Perfetti would be to that top six as right now it really feels like Jonathan Taves is playing with, you know, a lot of different players every single night trying to find uh, you know, a groove here. But, you know, add Perfetti to that top six, a solidified top six player in the NHL. I think that would go a long way, not only for the Jets, but for Jonathan Taves himself. The Jets haven’t had the best five on five numbers early on here in the season. Uh, but, you know, if you look at who they’ve been missing, it’s three of their most impactful players. I think you’re going to see a lot of those numbers, you know, come back to where they were or at least close to where they were a season ago. Um, you know, there’s really no reason for this team not to be a good five-on-ive team, but when you’re missing, you know, three of your most impactful guys, Lowry, Perfetti, Samberg for, you know, extended period of time, those numbers are going to go down. Now, Adam Lowry back in the lineup. The last time, you know, we saw him was in the playoffs. He had some great moments. Obviously, the game winner in game seven, double overtime against the St. Louis Blues, tipping at home. He’s the captain. He’s a big part of this Jets team. He had a great year last year. some of the best hockey I’ve ever seen Adam Lowry play. You know, 34 points, 73 games played, playing in essentially a 2C role, playing those 2C minutes, shut down role. The guy had a really good year and uh you know, getting him back is big. I kind of wonder, you know, what the situation is down the middle. Uh, obviously Mark Schaefley number one centerman, but now with Lowry coming back, I do wonder if we see in some situations if Taves and Lowry switch roles a little bit and maybe Lowry gets a little bit more ice time. The reason I suggest this is because with Taves being gone out of the NHL for so long, we have seen him disappear in back halves of games before. Yeah, you know, when the Jets play, you know, three games in four nights, maybe, you know, on that fourth night there in the third game, maybe Taves needs, you know, a little bit less minutes, maybe Lowry can be a little bit more impactful. We’ve seen Taves, you know, play really well in first periods, but sometimes in games as the game goes on, you can kind of see him taper off a little bit, uh, just due to fatigue. He’s talked about it like it’s not a secret or anything. You’ve been gone for that long, uh, you know, it’s going to take a little bit for your stamina to catch up. And you know, I wonder if uh you know, obviously Lowry missing some time as well, but uh you know, different situation, not gone for, you know, a couple years. I do wonder if uh the Jets look to do that, but for right now, Jonathan Taes will be playing the 2C role and Adam Lowry will be in the 3C role. Now, Gustav Nyquist is dayto-day. Right now, Tanner Pearson is filling in on that third line. Uh you know, I don’t love that. Obviously, you guys know how I feel about Tanner Pearson. I don’t think he’s really a great player at this point in his career. Used to be a really good player. Uh but I would imagine that Gustav Nyquis takes over that role for Pearson. Maybe Pearson doesn’t come back in the lineup. I don’t know. It’s hard to say because right now that fourth line of Parker Ford, Brad Lambert, uh you know, they seem to have some nice chemistry there. Obviously Cole Cape in there as well. I think he’s a really nice compliment to that line. I really like that line. Played really good against the Penguins. They’ll get a look for the next couple games for sure. Uh, you know, I would be surprised if they don’t. And, uh, you know, if they do well, I don’t know how you can split that up. Uh, I know Pearson had that one game where he had two goals and the assist and, uh, you know, he he had a really good game, of course, but, uh, you know, at this stage in Tanner Pearson’s career, he’s 13th forward best. And, uh, I think it’s silly to just plug the veteran in over the kids just because he’s a veteran, right? I don’t think that makes much sense. They give a much better uh situation there in your bottom six with Parker Ford and Brad Lambert that have proved that they can be effective in a bottom six scoring role. Uh you know, Lambert obviously getting his first NHL goal against the Penguins. Parker Ford has been dangerous. He could have already had a couple at least this year. I’ve really liked those three together or those two rather together. Um and I think the Jets have found some nice chemistry there. if it continues, there’s really no reason to, you know, just split them up. The and the speed that those two guys bring, you know, it would be a shame to see the Jets, you know, waste all that for Tanner Pearson, who’s really at the end of the bridge here. And, you know, this is a team that’s not exactly lightning fast as it is. Uh, you know, I just think that those two guys in the lineup bring a different element. And, you know, you add Cole Capeki to that line, that guy’s quick, big, quick, tall, fast, mean, can do a lot of things for you. And uh you know, I just I really like that line. I like the the dimension that it gives this Jets team. But yeah, so Adam Lowry coming back. This is the lineup we got right now. How do you guys feel about it? I you know, I feel pretty good Adam Lowry back in the lineup. I hope he uh I hope he’s able to, you know, get up to speed quickly. I’m not expecting him to blow the doors off the place, you know, night one or anything. Uh but I’m just really excited to have him back. Some more stability to this Jets team. And uh yeah, I think it’ll fix a lot of things here as uh you know, we’re getting some help now. Getting some help maybe even you know at the end of next week kind of thing with Perfetti and Samberg. Big boosts coming the Jets way. Found some chemistry in their lineup with Ford and Lambert uh you know in the bottom six there. Top line’s rolling. Middle six is getting filled in now with the help coming. You know, this is this is big for the Jets. Already having a very successful regular season to start and uh you know, they’re only getting better right now. We’ll see what they do going forward and at the trade deadline. But this is a very nice situation for the Jets to be in. We’ll see who stays on the roster in the coming weeks and we’ll see who is going to the moose or who is hitting waiverss, right? So, big couple weeks ahead of the Jets here. What do you guys think? Adam Lowry coming back. Uh how do you think he’ll do this season? Will he be able to bounce back at 32 years old from a, you know, pretty major hip surgery? Let me know down in the comments below. But that’s all I got today, guys. Thank you so much for watching. As always, leave a like and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already, and I’ll see you in the next one. Go Jets go. Bye-bye.
The Winnipeg Jets have started the season off with an impressive 9-3-0 record. They have had significant injuries to some of their most impactful players, making their start even more impressive. Now with Adam Lowry returning, and others not far behind, how will the Jets perform?

New intro slaps π₯
JetsHub new intro??
I didn't hear about Perfetti and Samberg are coming on the road trip. I'm headed to the Vancouver game on the 11th, hoping I can see them!
So what does our full lineup look like once everyone's healthy? Is it:
Connor – Scheifele – Vilardi
Vladdy – Toews – Perfetti
Nino – Lowry – Iafallo
Nyquist – Barron – Koepke?
Lambert – Ford – Pearson extras?
I miss the old intro
How we feeling Jets fans? Let's hear your thoughts
I haven't had much of a chance to watch them this year because of me working most of the games, but so far I'd say the first line is playing better than ever, this team is the same team as last year and I think they have an equal shot of having a good run in the post season
He is the best leader of the jets go jets go π
Its pronounced kep-key π
Ounce perfetti/Lowry/Samberg back I don't really see any moves jets need to make by deadline.
Stanley has gotten better have defence. Forward depth.
I was thinking maybe they try getting a Kadri/Schenn add more 2nd line talent upfront playoff type guys. But fans seem to be fine with Toews/Lowry. I've always wanted Barzal and he was healthy Scratched rumors about Stamkos.
And on defence was thinking maybe a Andersson/Byram to play with Morrissey and move Demelo down could be a move but again fans are fine with how things are and Salmonsson comming up.
And who knows where teams end up by deadline Pittsburgh was rumored shop Rust/Rakell but now are doing well. Flyers might not shop again Risto/Tippett.
Iβm hyped to see Perfetti back soon, I want to see him dishing it out on power play
sometimes i find myself just randomly humming the music that plays in the back of your videos thru out the day never change it lol
Ehlers lol bad move boy…Go Winnipeg Go
Bring back the old intro!!!
Lowry as 2C would be a dream come true
I hope fans don't expect to much from him. He's got to play his way into game shape. His presence in the room will help. But on ice, he may not be his regular self for many games. I pray he's ready. He'll be tested early. I'm not saying intent to injure or anything, but he's gonna get hit hard. No special treatment. He's either ready or he isn't
Don't forget about Nikita Chibrikov. He's looked good too!
We all know should be wearing the c the guy came 3 stanley cup rings Johnny the man !!!
Lambert scores one goal and now he is awesome, what a joke. Heβs a less physical more skilled Brendan Tanev.
I miss the old intro
Nicely done 4k followers π
