Gensel one of the most heads up players in the National Hockey League. sees his defenseman is all alone and Littleberg only needs one chance and he drifts that one in behind the goalender. I thought he was going to pull the trigger there and I kind of wish he had right hand shot on the left wing side. Yes, they did get their scoring chance, but I’m not so sure that it would have been better on the rush. But how about that finish there and one minute gone in this Lightning power play. Wilson’s a big strong guy. He’s a pretty slick kid he’s sporting tonight. And back in Chief’s Day when those pads got wet, they were like 50 lbs each. Oh yeah, they were made a out in front. So, he’s making a save with his arm. Perhaps he missed it with his blocker trying to deflect it off to the boards. Only he knows for sure. But it did go. This will be the sixth time this season the Lightning have entered the third period tied after two. And for the second consecutive game, it has been 2-2 entering the third period. Andrei Vasilevskiy made 29 saves, while Brandon Hagel and Jake Guentzel each had a goal and an assist to help the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Washington Capitals 3-2.
