Livan Soto as an infield depth piece, Quantrill as a AAAA arm, and Chadwick Tromp as a backup catcher seem interesting. I’d like to see us sign Hjelle (the 6’11 guy that pitched with the Giants for a while) and see if Ruben can convert him into a starter; that body type as a potential backend of the rotation piece with Niebla coaching is worth a shot.
They should try and get Joey Meneses. I remember him being pretty damn good with the Nationals in 2023, and I was wondering why HE wasn’t included in the Soto trade. He can play 1B, outfield, and righty DH. Victor Gonzalez (not who you’re thinking) of the Angels could be a good cheap option for a lefty pitcher.

Basically, a punch of bullpen depth, some reclamation project starters who have looked amazing at their best, and some respectable bench pieces with high upside.
