🔴 LIVE🔴Arizona cardinals VS Dallas Cowboys /Week 9/ Madden NFL 26
DA Sports coverage of the NFL brings us to the Lone Star State and the very mammoth AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Tonight, we’ve got the crew set for what should be a real treat. A great Monday night matchup as it’ll be the Arizona Cardinals taking on the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas Cowboys [Music] set now to wrap up a busy week of football. Happy to have you with us. And folks, we are underway on Monday Night Prime Time. Oh, good move. And a nice return sets him up pretty good here right at the 30 yd line. Time for Dak Prescott and the Dallas offense to go to work. Prescott, of course, the former fourthround pick in 2016 out of Mississippi State, and he’s coming off of an injury shortened season where he only played in eight games, but he’s hoping to get back to an AllPro level that he played at a year before. Now, with new weapons in town, he and his team believe they can go deep in the playoffs and have a major impact. Dak going to start out going to the air now. He’ll tuck this and run and this turns into a nice gain with a slide at the end. That’s a gain of 13 and a very solid opening play for this offense. First down. First and 10 at the 42 yd line. This early in the game, it’s all about making steady progress downfield, hoping to lead to early points. And you can do it with your actual play calls or sometimes something a little more improvised as we just saw there. Over the middle hauled in by Lamb. Call it a gain of six on the play and that will bring up second down. It’s a game of matchups. And that’s why you take your receivers and move them around a bunch, especially your best guys. And when they work out of the slot, you often hear the coaches talk about how great it is because it gives you a two-way go. You can break out or you can break in. That makes it hard to defend. He finds his man complete. That’s Ferguson. Seven yards there and a first down. And the tight end is certainly a position built to move the chains because they can control space underneath. If they’ve got good hands, then of course they’re a dynamic target. But one other thing is they’re right in the sightelines of a quarterback on just about every play and that makes it easier for the quarterback to pick him out and deliver. He finds Pickkins over the middle. So, the completion results there in nine yards and they’ll have a second and one forthcoming. And when you’re playing a quarterback with some experience and some moxy, you enter the danger zone when you decide to blitz him because if he’s able to diagnose as he did on that play, he can hurt you downfield. He reads defenses so well, doesn’t he? He really does. And the best part about that play for him, I don’t think that was his primary target. I don’t think so either. I think he had the read, figured out where the blitz was coming from and went to a secondary target for a really nice game. We all have habits. We can be somewhat predictable and you know me pretty well on second down and short. What I like to see play action. Yeah, without a doubt. I thought that was a great spot to call it. Instead, didn’t go their way, did it? Now, defense sold out for the run. Worked out well. Looking for Pickkins. He’s got him on the out route. Just a gain of a couple there and that’s going to make it fourth down. Now that’s going to be a tough one to explain when they get together and watch the game film, isn’t it? I mean, they had the right call, had the out route. He’s got to know where the first down sticks are. Yet he steps out of bounds that close. Not their best play. Fourth down. Prescott and he’ll be taken down, but he does have first down yardage. They’re able to keep the drive alive. Seven yds that time and the decision to go for it proves to be a good one. First and 10 at the 31 yd line. So they convert on fourth and now from just outside the 30. Here’s first and 10. Here’s Prescott and down he goes. They sack him back right around the 41 yd line. It’s a 10yd loss. It’ll be a loss of 10 and it’ll bring up second. Now that was a passer’s nightmare. The front door totally shut down by the defense. So he kept going backwards hoping to find another avenue of escape. It didn’t exist. And the job becomes twice as difficult now after the sack. It’s second and 20 out of the gun. Here’s Prescott over the middle complete. It’s Ferguson. A good pick up there. 18 yds as they get closer for third down. Good job there to locate his tight end Charles in the middle of the field. Yeah, he has good passc catching abilities and if they’re able to continue to find him here in the early going, I think it’ll help out his teammates out on the perimeter. You can take the big shots later if he occupies their attention. Now, a quick throw there, but it’s going to be incomplete. Now they’re staring at a fourth down as Arizona’s defense does its job. I think we’ll see more of them trying to get him the football out of the back field. They love what he can do in open space and they believe that he creates mismatches they can exploit. So on fourth down, Prescott off and on is Aubrey for the Cowboy field goal. They’ll spotted at the 30. So this is a 40 yd attempt. And his kick is good. And the Cowboys are going to jump out to a three nothing lead. No touchdown there, but if that first drive is any indication, looks like they’re going to have a pretty good day passing the football. I would say confidence would have to be pretty high after that first drive. able to throw it almost at will. You’re exactly right. They didn’t get the touchdown, but three points serves as a nice notice about how this offense is going to move. So after the made field goal, back out is Aubrey to kick this away. and able to get this across the 20, but not much further as he’s dropped at the 23 yd line. The Cardinals making their way out and it’s the number one overall pick in 2019. Kyler Murray at the helm. And when you watch him play, all you think about is how dynamic he is. He can beat you with his arm and his legs. Threw for over 20 touchdowns for the first time since 2021. Fully healed from a knee injury a couple of seasons ago. He’s got his team thinking big in 2025. Play action. Now it’s Murray. Now he’s going to step up and run. Turns out to be a great idea to tuck that one. Good for 24 yds. 24 yd. That’s good for a Cardinal first down. Well, that turned out better than most of the passes he could have thrown on that snap. The coverage downfield was excellent, but the containment close to home left him a back door escape and they paid dearly for not locking up. Looking for a seam, but finding none. He’ll get back to the line of scrimmage and that’s it. Call it no gain on the play and it’ll be second down. As usual, the hallmark of a good run defense. Linebackers making plays near the line of scrimmage. Absolutely nowhere to run there. Here’s second and 10. [Applause] To throw is Murray. Open man is Marvin Harrison Jr. And he’s going to have another first down here as the tackles made at the Cowboys 38 yd line. And the Cardinals first down. A gain of 15. First down Cardinals. What an intelligent play as he found open grass and uncovered quickly. A nice clutch play to move the chains. The defense, they’ve got to do a much better job of accounting for these shorter routes. That’s complete to Michael Wilson and he’s going to get this inside the 30. Backto back nice plays. 12 yds that time and a first down. First down. Well, this is where reading defenses and practice time comes into play. Got to know what you’re running versus zone versus man and how to run the proper route. And they just executed that one pretty well. On the handoff, it’s D Marano and he tried to bounce it outside, but they’ll stop him behind the line. Dropped for a loss there on a nice effort by Osa. 29. How about the big guy there showing some agility just float from his DTackle position in order to make that play. That loss of three, a rare stumble on a promising drive. Here’s second and 13. Murray going to throw. Oh, and that’ll be incomplete. He took a shot as he let that go and it’s going to bring up a third down. No receivers open downfield. So instead of forcing the ball to the sideline, he’s going to throw this one down to Fort Worth. He’d rather have the incompletion than the turnover. Seventh play of this drive coming up, but a long way to go on third down. [Applause] Here’s Murray. He’ll get that complete to Harrison. And he’s going to have another first down here as the tackles made at the Cowboys 16. 13 yards as the quick slant keeps the drive moving. What a drive this has been. Just chewing up the yardage. And here’s one of their best plays yet as they finally get down into the red zone and look to finish this off with six. So the ball down to the 16 here for first and 10. The give is to De Marcado and he’ll get four there down to about the 12 yd line. I think that run gives us evidence that the defense is getting a little bit tired out there. They’ve been out on the field for a long time and that last run they just cut right through them. Second down and six now. Here’s Murray. He’s got his man. It’s caught in the end zone. Touchdown Arizona. Marvin Harrison Jr. an 11 yd touchdown. And the Cardinals have answered that early field goal to take a first quarter lead. Personally for him, a great opening drive. He had three catches including the touchdown. That felt like tremendous scouting, great film watching, and creating a game plan to start this off. not only to get him involved, but to send a message to the defense. You have a lot to handle in this one. Chad Ryland now to add the pat. He’s got it. They’ll see that opening drive field goal and raise it a touchdown. And that makes it seven to three. We got this. So after the field goal, Ryland back out as he’ll send this one away. [Applause] And a good return as he’ll be stopped just shy of the 30 yd line. Second drive forthcoming here for the Dallas Cowboys. And after the field goal last time, we’ll see what they can get here. And at least they got points out of the last drive. Charles, I never met an offensive coach that didn’t want a drive to end with a kick. Most of them wanted to end with a PAT. Right. In this case, a field goal, they’ll take it. Way better than the alternative, which is a punt. Yeah, but you’ve met fan bases that wanted that that weren’t happy with that field goal. I haven’t met a fan base yet that wants a drive in with a kink other than the extra point. That’s it. And that’s good for a gain of six and it’ll be second down. Well, it’s time for them to be good teammates right here. And what I mean by that is possess the ball for a little while. Get at least two first downs. Give their defense a chance to settle down a little bit after they give up a touchdown. Ball on the 36. Now here’s second and four. Throwing Prescott. Short pass taken in by Scoon Maker. And they will only muster a yard here to the 38. That was an okay hookup there with his tight end, but unfortunately they didn’t get the kind of yards they had hoped for. That’s going to bring up third down. Third and two. Looking to throw Prescott. Ah, he had a man open, but he missed him and it’s incomplete. You absolutely have to have this early on, right? Third and short. They elect to throw for it. And that’s normal NFL football. They’re going to throw on third and short, but you’ve got to hit it, don’t you? Yeah. In the first quarter, like you said, to set the tone. can’t connect there. And the Cowboys going to bring on Brian Anger to punt on fourth down. Greg George deep for Arizona. This will be fielded at the 17. They’ll net only 35 here following a 43 yd boot. 8 yd return and the Cards will take over first and 10. So, the Cardinals offense back onto the field here for their second drive of the game. This drive here beginning probably with a pair of motivated groups. Remember, the offense scored a touchdown on their last time out. Looking to repeat that. And Charles’s defense. They were very frustrated after giving up six the last time on the field. And frankly, it’s just a battle of wills in a lot of ways because, you know, they’re both motivated. They both game plan for this drive and they both have specific outcomes in mind. To me, it just comes down to who can execute better and which side can step up and assert its will over the other. Three yards on the pick up there and it’ll be second down. Give credit to the defense for stringing that play out and they gave up no cut back angle. You know, he was trying to dart through. No place for him to go. A nice job there only giving up a three-yd gain. Throwing now is Murray. He’ll get this to D Marcado and he gets this one just shy of the 40 down at the 39. It’s a gain of 11 and a Cardinal first down. That’s a pretty play there coming out of the back field. But as that back, you’ve got to be conscious of making sure you’re securing the football. When you get out in open field, sometimes you get a little loose with it as you’re trying to get up ahead of steam. Make sure you keep it close to your body because those defenders are trying to punch it for eight. He does a nice job there protecting the ball and picking up a first down. And able to give one man the slip there as he works his way forward for about three. I feel like I could see what he was thinking on that carry. Wanted to follow that big tackle through the hole. Ended up only getting four yards on the carry. I think he had designs on that one being bigger. [Applause] Now Murray, they’ll set up the screen to De Marcado and he is going to lose yardage here. So that’ll go as a fouryd loss on the play and that brings up third and a full 10 yards. Well, Brandon, we could see that play developing and they were hoping that he was going to be able to put a move on the first guy and turn it into a big play, but no such luck. The speed on defense continues to get better and better in the NFL. Pretty nice example there of those guys being able to run from their assignments and finish off that play. And it’s incomplete. Took a shot, couldn’t connect. Now that’s a good bounce back after giving up a touchdown on the opening drive. Just one first down permitted and then out. Obviously no loss of confidence with that defense and now they get to turn it back to their offense. So on fourth down on is the punter Pat O’Donnell to kick it away. Cavonte Turpin deep for the Cowboys. And that’ll cross midfield here. Not by much. Out of bounds just on the other side of the 50. And out come the Cowboys. And Charles, a very uninspired effort the last time we saw them out there. It was a quick threeand out. Then they punted the football. Yeah. And you never want to get stopped so soundly during a series. But what would be even worse now is letting it happen again right here. They’ve got to get going. Good starting field position for them here as they come up first and 10 on their side of midfield at the 47. They start the drive on the ground. It’s Williams and he’ll manage to pick up about four. It’s second down. Nice chunk of yards on first down. It really opens up your options for what you want to do on second. You go right back to him and hope he explodes or sucker the defense in before throwing over the top. from the 48 yd line. Here’s the second down and six. Prescott to throw it. And that one off the mark behind him. Incomplete. Well, that’s a defensive coordinator’s got to be happy with that result. They took away all options downfield and forced the incompletion. And this will probably be the last play of the quarter to throw is Prescott that is caught and he will have a Cowboys first down as they’re able to get the third down conversion after one. 73 the score on EA Sports. Start of the second quarter and it’s the Cowboys in possession as they’ve got it with a first and 10. Here’s Prescott [Applause] on the RPO. He’ll keep it himself. The improv on the scramble there gets him six and it’ll be second down. You know what I like about that play? He didn’t try to do too much on first down. He took what the defense gave him. Put together a solid gain to bring up second and manageable. Now they have a couple of plays to pick up just a few yards and a new set of downs. This second and four. On the counter, here’s Williams. And not much of a hole there as he gets it down to about the 24 yd line. He got half of what he needed there. Two yards and it’ll bring up a third and two more. And the big fella stuffed that one up in a big way. I think doubling him has to be a priority because you can’t move up to the next level if you don’t take care of him first. Prescott from the gun on third. Look at the big man rumble. And he is into the end zone for a Cowboy touchdown. Jake Ferguson 23 yds for the touchdown. And the Cowboys are once again back in front. And nowadays in NFL football, you have to account for all the receivers. Sure. But the tight end such a weapon and they prove it right there. Oh, without a doubt. And we’re seeing now the golden age of tight ends catching the football. I go back to Kell Winslow. To me, he was a prototype of what we’re seeing today. We’re seeing it each and every week now. Brandon Aubrey now for the extra point. And it’s through. And that makes the lead 10-7. A drive that time of six plays. And it’s capped off for the Cowboys touchdown. Brandon Aubrey. So after the touchdown, Aubrey now to kick this one away [Applause] and makes it across the 20 as his guys will set up shop at the 23 yd line. So out now come the Cardinals over on the sideline hoping to hit that reset button between possessions. Last time out they had to punt it away this time hoping to finish this thing off in the end zone. Murray and the Cardinals with a first and 10 at their own 23. They’ll come out throwing here to start the drive. Murray now going to do it himself. And he’s going to get this one across the 30 yd line. Give him 10 that time. Escaping the danger, running with it and picking up a first down. First down. It’s a gain of 10. First down Arizona. They made a nice effort to stick him with a loss for that play, but it’s going to take more than that to keep him from advancing the ball. Should be an entertaining battle anytime he tucks and runs over the second half of this contest. They run the option here on first and 10. And this turns into a nice gain with a slide at the end. 14 yds that time and a first down on the keeper. That’s another Cardinal first down. A nice run there. He calls his own number, gets the first down, and it slides to a stop before he has to take any contact. And that absolutely has to please this coaching staff because, you know, they’ve been drilling into his head. You’re no good to us on the sidelines if you’re not playing, right? If you have to be over here full time with us, that doesn’t work so well. We need you on the field. So sliding like that, they’ll take that every time. Eight more yards this time, coming off backto back first down pickups. I know sometimes we can get fooled when we watch him make catches as we just saw him do there because he really looks like a wide receiver the way he goes about his business. Yeah. 230 240 range. Yeah. Not not super huge. Maybe not counted on to be that inline point of attack blocker that we used to have in the good old days, but you can flex him out. You can run wide receiver routes with him. You can make him a primary target and that’s how he’ll shred a defense. Nothing open downfield. keeps it himself for 11 and a first down. No shortage of impressive moments from him thus far. Now he’s halfway to the century mark and we’re still in the first half. There’s been no answer for his running ability so far by the defense. I can’t wait to see what adjustments they’ll have to make during the halftime break. And the running lanes non-existent in this first half as they’ll stop him behind the line. Call it a full three yds in the wrong direction there. Brings up second down. I have a feeling they’ll stay committed to running the football, especially on the early downs. They just haven’t had a whole lot of success just yet. [Applause] Here’s Murray as he sets to throw it. A short one here caught by McBride. They’ll wind up getting 10 back as that sets him up for third down. A lot of tight ends just use their size and their strength, try to occupy some space and kind of body people away and catch the football, but not this guy. He’s a refined route runner. Makes me wonder if he took some dance classes in his background with his footwork to throw. It’s Murray. He’ll try to pick it up himself and he’s going to have a first down here as he gets this one to the 17 yd line. A nice pick up of 10 means that this drive will stay on track. It’s a gain of 10. Well, this has certainly turned into a showcase game for what he can do on the ground because they’re just continuing to give him chances to run it and he’s earning every additional carry by putting up positive yardage on each run. So, from the 17 now here’s a first and 10. Oh, they go with a tight end carry and he’s brought down just outside of the 10 at the 11. It’s a six-yd pickup and it gets him to second and four. pick up. That’s a strong pickup right there on first down. And as this drive goes on, we’re seeing an offensive line and running game imposing its will here now. Second and four. Murray now to throw. Throwing quickly there, but it’s incomplete. Had an open man that time, but end up putting a little too much heat on it. Don’t you think, partner? Absolutely. just needed a touch more air under it instead. He fired an absolute bullet. The Cardinals on third down. They’ve been okay. Two for three thus far. This is third and four. Murray now. Now he’ll tuck this and run. He didn’t get the touchdown, but he did get the first down as he’s tackled at the one. A nice pickup there. 10 yards. Oh, Brandon, that’s a gamer move right there. Facing third down, steps up, calls his own number, and nearly makes the house call. If I’m the coach, I let him take another one right here. Give him a chance to be the first one to hit the end zone after that effort he just gave him. And he is going to be stopped cold behind the line of scrimmage. That’s going to go as a loss of two. And it’ll be second down. And that loss of yards there is not just on him. It’s on the guys blocking for him. I mean, they’re supposed to create some type of space or at least get a stalemate. They end up letting them through and they ended up tackling him for a loss. Second down and goal. Murray and he goes backwards on this one. Losing yardage to the seven. It’ll be a loss of four yards on the play. And now we’ve got a third and goal situation. Well, sometimes despite the best planning, the defense actually has a plan as well. And they blanketed everyone on that play. They were able to close it down and spilling for a loss. And now can they reverse the trend on third and goal with the last two plays having gone backwards. Shotgun now from Murray. They’ll try and do this himself. And he is into the end zone. Touchdown Arizona. Kyler Murray taking it in from seven yds away. And the Cardinals have moved out in front. What an effort there. Sometimes you hold your breath a bit when you see your quarterback diving for the end zone. You don’t want him to land on a shoulder wrong or take a big shot. But he looks none the worst for wear here. And that winds up a touchdown. Ryland on for the extra point. [Applause] And that makes it 14-10. [Applause] So that one a 13play drive in total. And the play that polished it off was the touchdown run by Kyler Murray. [Applause] [Applause] Chad Ryland now following the touchdown. Back out to kick it away. [Applause] And they’re going to start this drive in pretty good shape up past the 30. possession of the football going back to the Cowboys. A lot of time for this unit to game plan on the sideline after that drive that they watched the other side just score. But remember, last time they were out, they scored as well. We’ll see if they can seize that momentum right back. And they have had a lot of time to cool off from reaching the end zone the last time. So, have they been able to keep themselves mentally sharp and into this game even though they haven’t been on the field? And you and I both know one big play though gets him right back up to that level. They’ll give him four yards there and it’ll be second down. They’d love to just strike back with a touchdown right here. And if it’s a long play, so be it. But the main goal, get a couple of first downs, run some plays, run some clock, allow their defense to get a chance to catch their breath, settle down, and relax a little bit after they just gave up a score. 23 yds the pick up there. It’s a gain of 23 yds and the Cowboys first down. First and 10 at the 42 yd line. That’s a nice explosive play there. And this defense told us we have to have our eyes right on their RPO sets. And they did not have their eyes right. I love that term, eyes right, meaning they have to be in the proper place and read your keys. And a smart thinking guy running an offense can see when you break down on that. And he took full advantage of it. Give him nine on the carry that time. And they’re set up with a second and one. That play wasn’t quite as big as the play that preceded it, but still got to like the way they’re moving the football, partner. Absolutely. Pretty good room to run on that last play. Yeah, they didn’t get a first down, but still, you’ll take runs like that each and every time, won’t you? Williams going to get it again on second down. And he still has yet to get on track in this first half as they’re going to stop him behind the line. They go backwards there two yards and second and one is now third and three. Now Prescott, [Applause] he’ll try to pick it up himself and he’ll be taken down, but he does have first down yardage. Four yardds there as they let him out of the pocket and he got enough for the first. No surprise to see a sideline fired up by that big play. Heck, we’re fired up and we’re supposed to be neutral. That’s a quarterback putting his body on the line to fight and just barely get the first down. When he does something like that, it gets everyone ready to lay it all out there and try and match his intensity. And this play will be blown up. He’ll lose yardage back at the 38. That really sets him back. A loss of six. Does a nice job there foiling what all offenses try to do, which is control the defensive end in the running game. They want to get to the outside and if he keeps himself free, stays on his feet, he can make a play just as he did there. Tough spot. Looking at second and 16 here after the big loss. Prescott from the gun. Oh, he’s got a man in wide open complete and he’ll take it into the end zone for a Cowboy touchdown. Jake Ferguson with his second touchdown here in this first half and the Cowboys have yet again retaken the lead. And what a weapon he is at the tight end spot because when they throw him the football downfield, they count on him getting additional yardage almost every time. And that’s exactly what he did there. Caught that, ran with it all the way to the end zone. Aubrey now for the PAT. It’s good and they’ll take a 174 lead. So this drive spans seven plays and it culminates in a Dallas touchdown. [Applause] So after the touchdown, Aubrey now to kick this one away [Applause] and able to get this out to the the Cardinals offense and Kyler Murray headed back out onto the field. And this defense has got to be searching for answers right now. It’s been his ability to make plays on the ground here in this first half that’s really giving him fits, ready to go with their next drive. at the line, the Cardinal offense. And it’s a unit last drive that did it all on the ground, Charles. And they controlled it from the interior. Big on big, right? Offensive lineman versus defensive lineman. But, you know, in order to keep the football moving downfield, other people have to get involved as well. Your wide receivers, your tight ends, lead runners, anything that you have possible to get in front and keep the ball moving. And now the defense may be looking out for a pass coming up. [Applause] So that complicates things a bit here. 18 yds to go now on second down and this is incomplete. Oh, he looked like he had a pretty good line on that one. That would have been a big play, but he could not pull it in. Concentration so key on a ball like that. It’s hard. I know how difficult it is, but that’s a ball you’ve got to come up with. And instead, a big play is going to slip through their fingers, literally and figuratively. Now on third and long, they’ll look to throw. That’s going to be knocked away and incomplete. They were maybe hoping for a little bit of a back shoulder fade there. And that’s a play that’s been invogue the last few years in all aspects of football, but they couldn’t get the hook up there. Here’s Pat O’Donnell on now to putt it away. Yikes. Terrible kick headed straight for the sidelines. And now Dallas gets set to take the field. And that last drive was very, very balanced. Pretty methodical. You think they go that route again? I’m always of the school that until they stop me from doing something, I’m going to continue. And I think that that’s exactly what they’ll look to do. But the beauty is the balance that they’ve created sets up opportunities for big plays. Looks like a run, turn it into a play action and throw one deep. got his man complete over the middle. That’s Ferguson. So, the completion results there in nine yds and it’ll bring up a second and short and his play caller does a nice job of giving him an easy throw to start this drive and he takes advantage of it. The completion sets up a manageable second down. Now, the Cowboys going to burn the first of their timeouts as they get the stoppage with a little over 50 seconds to go in the first half. Second down and a yard. A give to Williams running right and he’s able to work it here to the eight yd line. The Cardinals going to use the first of their timeouts. as they get the stoppage with just under 50 seconds remaining in half number one. First and goal at the 8 yd line. Now Prescott left side to Lamb and he is into the end zone for a Cowboy touchdown. Three touchdown passes now for Dak Prescott and the Cowboys will extend their lead in the final minute of the half. partner to me that touchdown had something that was kind of rooted in that group seeing the future. What I mean by that is they had a plan. Let’s find a way to score right here before the half and now to give us momentum going into the second half. Give us that cushion that we’re looking for. They got that accomplished scoring right before the half ended. Aubrey now for the point after and his guys will take a 10-point lead. The drive there only spanning three plays and it’s finished off by the touchdown from CD Lamb. [Applause] So after the touchdown, Aubrey now to kick this one away [Applause] and taken down just pass the 20 at about the 21 yd line. Well, the Cardinal offense going to take over late in this first half. Well, not much time remains here in this first half. We’ll see if they can get something out of this drive. At least a field goal. They could certainly use it. Down by two scores. [Applause] [Applause] Quick throw there is incomplete. In any event, it happened pretty quickly. I’m not sure he made the right decision on that one. I think if he had to do over again, he would have found a different target downfield, but he made his decision and that one’s incomplete. Second and 10. operating from the gun. Murray, he completes it to Jones. That’ll leave him with a third and two coming up. They got eight yardds there. [Applause] They’ll come to the line needing only two yards to gain the first here. A final shot before half for Murray and he’ll be taken down, but not before they work it across midfield. Halftime here on Monday night prime time. It is off to Orlando we go. Here is Scott Hansen with our halftime report. Scott. All right, Brandon, thanks much. Welcome in everyone to the Orlando studios. Scott Hansen with you for a quick halftime report. We’ll let both sides catch their breath and get their orange wedges as we’re going to get ready for the third quarter action. So, let’s go back out to the stadium as we rejoin our broadcast team, Brandon Goden and Charles Davis. Scott, thank you very much. We are ready to get started here with the second half. [Applause] It’ll be the Cardinals who get the ball first. They trail here as we resume action in the third quarter. And he brings us out past the 20 to the 24. So, here’s the Cardinals offense now as they get set to start this third quarter. And right out of the gate, they face what you’d think could be a pretty important drive, I would say. So, you know, they’re down two scores, that’s not the end of the world. It wasn’t the strongest of first halves, but for them to start clawing back, they’ve got to start put a little pressure on that defense, start cutting into this deficit. You can’t have three and outs and expect to get that done. Murray and the Cardinals with a first and 10 at their own 24 and he’s able to plow forward up to about the 29 just shy of the 30. Five yardds on the carry. Good pickup on first down. Running lanes were at a premium in the first half but he’s able to find some room there and he’s hoping that that’s a precursor of a big second half from the 29. here. Second and five. [Applause] To throw is Murray. Now he’s going to step up and run. And Murray with a smart move there at the end of the play. Picks up the first down and then slides to the ground. Give him seven on the tuck and run. And it’ll get him a new set of downs. This is a rarity in the NFL. 100 yardd game on the ground for a quarterback. Even as those passers get more athletic and mobile, we only see about five of these a season. Takes a special set of circumstances for it to happen. And of course, a special player. Play action. Now it’s Murray. Man open here is Jones and he’s going to get this down to the 35 yd line. He got 29 yds that time. First and 10 at the 35 yd line. Couple of first downs right in succession. And this is an offense that could really use a good drive. And they’re off to a fast start here. So from Cowboy territory now, here’s first and 10 at the 35 yd line. Here’s Murray and he’s got his man out of the back field. That’s complete. All defenses worry that whenever anyone catches the ball and has a head of steam come out of the back field, it could turn into a big play with missed tackles or he runs through people. But they were right there waiting and they stopped him for a minimal gain. Here’s a second and eight. [Applause] A run. It’s D Marcado and he’ll go out of bounds inside the 15 yd line. That burst good for 20 and a first down. Sometimes it’s hard to believe, but there are times this game is about patience, isn’t it? Has had the game he expected, but that run there, that may get him going. I was just going to say maybe that gives him a little juice cuz you’re right, he struggled, especially in that first half. Yeah, and I know the great ones always think to themselves, just hang in there. I’m just one big carry away from busting this open. That’s a good start for him. He was unable to shake free there. They’ll cover him for a loss of a yard. That’s a great job of tackling right there. If he could have made the first man miss, maybe he could have taken it into the end zone. Instead, they stopped him pretty well right in his tracks. And you often see that in the red zone. Offense has to be quick. In this case, the defense was quicker. Murray going to throw now. They set up the screen that’s complete. Only a yard there. Sniffed out well defensively and it brings up third. Good reactions there defensively. That screen was a little slow in developing and they shut that one down with little gain. A long way to go here on third down for the eighth play of the drive. Here’s Murray and that is caught. Touchdown Cardinals. Marvin Harrison Jr. his second touchdown of the night and the Cards are back within a score. I know Paul River talked about by land or by sea, right? You know, one by land, two by sea. He didn’t mention air because right now we’re seeing a big- time performance, aren’t we? That’s two touchdowns so far in this game. Where’d you pull that one from? And you know, every now and then I actually listened in history class. And you you’re just a scholar all the way around. You’re reading all the time. I like that you fit that into the broadcast. You know, I just grab a nugget when I can. Now, Ryland for the PAT. It’s up and good. And this now becomes a 2421 ball game. So, that drive goes eight plays and it winds up and a touchdown for Arizona. [Applause] back out is the kicker Ryland and he’ll send this one away. [Applause] And a nice return sets him up pretty good here right at the 30 yd line. The Cowboys offense now they head out for their first possession of the second half. And maybe some renewed pressure on this unit following the touchdown a moment ago. It’s back to a one-sore game. And because of that pressure, because it’s now a one-sore game, they know this is where you need to slow the momentum change because otherwise that could overrun your team. You’ve got to be careful right here. Prescott now. He’ll drop this down to Williams. That’s good. The completion there for seven yardds at second down. Just about every quarterback is trained to really look downfield first before you come back and make a nice safe throw. And in this case, that’s exactly what he did. Found his running back, let him create some space, and it turned out to be a nice play for the offense. Looking to throw Prescott now. A quick throw there, but it’s going to be incomplete. I see the surprise in your face there, partner. That is a rare incompletion from him. He’s been on point this entire game. He has percentage completion wise way up. Not that time. So, the incomplete pass on the last play and that leads us to a third and three. Throwing Prescott and that’s going to be incomplete. The coverage too good there. The contact popped the ball free and it’s fourth down. And that’s a really good job there defensively. They went into this possession knowing that they needed to get a stop. They’re in a tight ball game and they got it done. Great work to force the three and out. Got the football right back for their offense. They’ve got to go to the sidelines feeling pretty good about themselves and encouraging their offensive mates to get some points. On to punt now. Anger as he boots this one away. And here comes Dorch on the return. It’s a 42 yd punt, but eight on the return. And out will come the offense as they take over. Kyler Murray going to lead the Cardinals back out on offense. Five for five that last drive. Touchdown pass as well. He was clicking. Receivers, I don’t want to be cliche, but running really solid routes, too. And what I love about it is when you look across any team. All right. The body types of the receivers are usually different. The way that they get open different as well. Some of them use power to get open. Some of them use those head fakes and subtle moves. Some of them just use pure speed. And the really good ones when they’re established, they know how to push off at the end of a route, too. They just keep trying, but so far finding no room for him to run. None whatsoever. In fact, you run the numbers, he’s under three yards a carry at the moment from the 33. Here’s a second and five running de Marcado. Now he’s free at the 35 and he’ll take this one in for the Arizona touchdown. Amari De Marcado 67 yds and the Cardinals have scored again in this third quarter. This time to move out in front. I guess when you look back on it, it was just a matter of time until he popped a big one like that. And you know at halftime, you and I discussed it. They had done a nice job on him in the first half, but there were a couple of occasions where it felt like he might wiggle out of traffic and take it to the house. Finally, here in the second half, that got done. Ryland on for the extra point. [Applause] And that will make this a four-point game. So, two plays on that scoring drive. That’s how they drew it up. And the long run into the end zone. And what a run it was. [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] So after the field goal, Ryland back out as he’ll send this one away. and they’ve got it up past the 35. So, pretty good starting field position. Time to get another look at this Cowboys offense. Their lead, they have seen it evaporate completely after such a good first half. They’ve been shut down here in the third quarter, searching for answers, trying to figure out what it’s going to take to get back to where they were before. The big part of it is that sometimes you don’t have to go exotic now. You go back to basics. Being able to run the football, string some things together, some effective passes, try and get a rhythm established again and try and get back in the lead. Back in the lead like you said, back to the basics. Pass complete to Jaylen Tolbert and he’ll have it past midfield almost to the 40 before being taken down. 22 yds on the catch and run. A first down. Boys, first down. First and 10 at the 42 yd line. I’ll tell you what, a lot of those mid-range throws have been available because sometimes teams get too concerned about the deep ball and they leave too much space in front of them and these guys have been taking advantage so far. Here’s Prescott. Got an open man. It’s Pickkins. Short completion, just four yards. And that’s going to bring up second down and I think he just wanted to get the ball to one of his playmakers to see if they can make something happen. But he ends up throwing into a crowded area and after the catch, he isn’t able to do much with it. Now a second and six. Prescott to throw it over the middle complete. It’s Ferguson. He’s been big two touchdowns earlier. Now he’s got a first down here. That was a route run. Not just with dexterity, but with intelligence. Found the hole in the zone. Made sure the quarterback saw him and was able to make the sure catch and flip the down marker back to one. And again, it’s Prescott. Quick hitch complete. It’s Lamb. And down to the 20 he’ll go before heading out of bounds. A good looking drive for the Cowboys so far. It’s a first down. Another nice play there. They’ve gotten down into the red zone in no time at all. That’s what this offense can do when they get on a roll. And now they’re set up with a first and 10. Now a first down carry. It’s Williams. And a good physical run that time. He’s going to wind up gaining five on that one. Had a ton of success here so far, but you get the feeling that he might be on the verge of popping one. Yeah, even on that one there was a little bit of a hole, but it closed there quickly at the end. Second down and four. Prescott off play action. Now he’ll tuck this and run. And he is into the end zone for a Cowboy touchdown. Dak Prescott a 13 yd touchdown run. And the Cowboys have answered back with a third quarter touchdown of their own to retake the lead. Nothing like understanding where your escape hatches are as a quarterback. Here he’s looking, but he knows he doesn’t want to force anything. So when nothing avails itself, he slips past the rushers, takes it right up the middle, and takes it into the end zone. Aubrey now for the pat. And that one gives him a three-point lead. That time a sixplay drive and it was all capped off by Dak Prescott keeping it and taking it in on the touchdown run. [Applause] So after the touchdown, Aubrey now to kick this one away. [Applause] Oh, a dangerous return man showing it here. And able to return this one all the way out to the other side of the field across the 50. The Cardinals offense and their quarterback headed out for this next possession. And this defense has got to be at its wits end trying to come up with ways to keep him contained. He’s had so many opportunities to tuck it and go and he’s turned a number of those opportunities into big plays. You can just kind of sense the momentum turning here. It’s first and 10. Here’s Dberado and just no chance of turning the corner. He can only get back to the line of scrimmage. Second and 10 coming up. I know that speed is the hallmark of today’s NFL game, but the key to good rushing defense is still having your linebackers set the edge. Now a second and 10. Throwing now is Murray. And the timing a bit off that time as that one falls to the ground. A lot of times it’s that first read that you have. Maybe you get it in pre- snap and he locked in on his target, but he was covered quite well and that one’s incomplete. An incomplete pass on second down. That muddles things a little bit here. This is third and 10 now. Murray. And this pass broken up. Excellent coverage there on third down as that was not an easy one to hold on to. Oh, that’s going to hurt a bit because they needed to come through with a completion there. Now, a drive that started with great field position is facing fourth down. Here’s Pat O’Donnell now as he’s on to punt for Arizona. Oh, it’s a wobbler here. And now that’ll kick out of bounds. And this is going to be spotted back at their own 30. Oh man. Now the Cowboys offense heads back onto the field. And they’ll just simply be looking to build off the confidence of the last time out where they scored a touchdown. Man, confidence is powerful, isn’t it? When you’ve scored once, you feel like you can go back out there and get it done again. Doesn’t matter what the defense throws at them. They feel like they’re in a groove right now and they want to get out there and show it. Yeah. hoping to stay in that groove here this go around. So Prescott and the Cowboys now with a first and 10 right at the 30. Here’s Williams to start the drive. He gets away from one. Give him a couple on the carry there. Second and eight. The way things have gone in this one, the running game’s been something of an afterthought and that’s not been too bad for them, has it? Yeah, the offensive returns have been good, but I guess we figured he and the ground game would be a bit more involved. Now second and eight at the 32 yd line. To throw is Prescott. That’s into the hands of Tolbert. The result only four yards there on the play. And that’ll make it third down. in search of four yards here to pick up the first down. Here’s Prescott. That’s to the sideline and incomplete. Partnered the way this offense has marched up and down the field during this game. It’s almost a surprise to see an incomplete pass on third down, isn’t it? Yeah, they have had their foot on the gas all game long, but here finally stalling out. Here’s Brian Anger now as he’s on to punt for Dallas. And here’s a very low line drive. Almost whiffed on it. Fair catch called for and made at about the 32 yd line. Officially that’ll be marked down as just a 28 yd punt and it will be first and 10 as they take over. [Applause] Murray and the Cardinals with a first and 10 at the 33 yd line. They’ll start this drive out on the ground and they’ll get it up just short of the 45 at the 44. 103 yds for him on the ground now. He has been a tough man to bring down all night. Well, that last run makes this a 100redyd night. I’ve loved the way he’s hit the holes. He’s been quick. He’s been decisive. And he’s been a whole lot of fun to watch. [Applause] And they’ll let the quarterback keep it here on first and 10. And he is out of bounds, but not before he’s inside the 30. A big time gain there on the keeper using his legs to hurt him. First down. It looked like almost a miscommunication defensively because once he decided to keep it, he had pretty smooth sailing. Yeah, it became a question of wait a minute, who’s got the quarterback? And when you talk about miscommunication, it’s supposed to be called assignment football on the defensive side of the ball, but the assignment gets mixed up. That’s the end result. Officially, it’s a one-yd loss. That’s going to bring up second and 11. An interesting and intriguing decision there defensively because they kept extra DBs on the field despite seeing the multiple tight end look that came out for the offense. I thought they were going to switch out of it. I didn’t know if they felt they didn’t have time or what the case was. Well, in any event, the extra speed allowed for great penetration as they stuffed that one behind the line of scrimmage. That’s going to be caught. It’s so close. He gets it to the one out of bounds right there. That’s good for 28 yds. Now Brian Shottenheimimer not happy on the sideline and he’s going to throw the red challenge flag. The previous play is under review. Did he keep those feet in bounds? That’s the question they’ve got to decide. And I got to say, watching it in real time, it was awfully close. Yeah, certainly looked like a heck of a catch because he didn’t appear to bobble it, which could complicate things, but even with the benefit of replay, that’s pretty tight. Well, here’s the call. After review of the play, the ruling on the field stands. So, the challenge there does not go their way. This will indeed remain a completed pass. They’ll come out in the pistol. on the ground. It’s D Marcado and maybe a measure of revenge there. He’s had his way in this one, but this time they get him behind the line. That’s going to wind up a loss of a full three yds on first down. Well, after the loss on first down, they’re going to walk that line. Understand they don’t have to rush just yet, but time is still going to be a factor in the decision making. Call your play. Make sure everyone knows what they’re doing. You have to score a touchdown here. You’ve got to touchdown. Elijah Higgins from three yds out. And the Cardinals have moved out in front here in the final minute of the third quarter. Well, down in this part of the field, CD, they’d love to get him the football. And right there, a little pitch and catch for the score. Yeah, and he’s such a weapon when it’s that close to the end zone. And they love being able to rely on him to make those kind of catches. Talk about trust. Talk about confidence and he produces. Now Ryland for the pat. And that will make this a four-point game. So the drive there took six plays and the Cardinals cap it with a touchdown. [Applause] [Applause] Arland now following the touchdown back out to kick it and able to take it past the 25 and up to the 28 yd line. The offense for the Cowboys now working their way back onto the field. They’re looking to turn things around here. They’ve been shut down in this third quarter and that was after a good first half offensively. and you wonder where it all goes and it feels like it goes away fast because it takes some time to build up good momentum, great play calling, excellent execution, and then like a blink of an eye, you’re losing the game. How do you get back there again? I’m sure they’ve talked about it and they’ve got a plan. Now, can they put it into practice? The lead gone now. The search to find it again. They’ll wind up getting just a yard out of it. And it’s second down. As a defense, you’re more balanced when you’re in zone coverage because you’re able to keep your eyes on the quarterback and see the play develop in front of you. They’re able to keep the quick pass in front of them and stop it right at the line of scrimmage. Out of the gun, here’s Prescott. Pass complete to Tolbert on the crossing route and he will be taken down. But a big pickup there on what’s going to be the final play of the third quarter. Cowboys first down. First and 10 at the 44 yd line. One quarter remains here as we wrap up the week on Monday Night Prime Time. We’ll return with more after this break. You’re watching the NFL on EA Sports. back now in Arlington. It’s the Cowboys in possession of the football, but they trail here as we begin the fourth quarter of play. Now Prescott and that Oh, nearly picked off. It would have been a great time for their first interception of the game. Instead, it’s second down. Oh, this defense knows. Fourth quarter. They need to make a play. That one was ripe for the taking. Could have changed the complexion of the ball game, but it winds up incomplete. To throw on second and 10. Prescott. It’s caught. Tolbert and he gets this one inside the 15 just a yard or two shy of the 10. The catch and run going to wind up netting him 33 yds. [Music] First and 10 at the 11 yd line. Well, this game has certainly had no shortage of offense. Both teams have been revved up from the start. And here’s yet another big play. Boy, both defense have just got to be dragging out there because they’ve been run ragged throughout to the air again. Prescott. Oh, he was hit as he threw it there and that one winds up incomplete at this point in the second half. One mistake on a force throw could doom your chances of a comeback. So that’s the right call there to just throw that one away. So now second and 10 after the incompletion on first down from the shotgun. It’s Prescott. Touchdown Cowboys. Dak Prescott with a connection to CD Lamb. And the Cowboys answer back with a touchdown of their own to take a fourth quarter lead. But plenty of scoring here of late and our lead changes hands now in the fourth quarter. Yeah, they just gave up a touchdown the other end. So they knew that with time getting short, they had to put something together here and they were able to do so and retake the lead right back. Now an important extra point here to stretch this lead to a field goal. He’s got it. And this is indeed up to a three-point lead. A drive that time of six plays and it’s finished off by the touchdown from CD Lamb. So after the touchdown, Aubrey now to kick this one away and out a little across the 25 to the 27. The Cardinals take the visitors offense and running back Amari de Marcado getting ready for this next possession. And he has put in a full game’s work and then some. Just an incredible performance on the ground to this point in the fourth quarter. Arizona’s offense at the line ready to get their drive started. We certainly have a good one on our hands. They’re trailing after that last touchdown. But now a chance for this offense to try to snag that lead right back here in the fourth quarter. Nothing open downfield. He keeps it himself for 11 and a first down. It’s a gain of 11 and the Cardinals first down. A gain of 11 on the play. First down Cardinals. Get out of here. These are running back numbers that he’s accumulating right now. Received double-digit carries and has rewarded them by breaking the century mark and rushing in addition to what he’s done through the air. Definitely MVP caliber football we’re witnessing. And he is going to lose yardage here. Not what they had in mind there. That’s going to go as a loss of four. Looked like the defense, they were ready for that one. really left him almost no room to work after catching the ball. He could throw every move in the book at him. They were there and they tackle him for a loss. [Applause] Murray now to throw. They’ll set up the screen to De Marcado. Give him six on the screen. But now it’s third down. He’s had success running the football. This is more or less an extension of that because they drop it off to him on the screen and I’ll bet he’s thinking to himself, if I didn’t have to slow up a bit here in traffic, I could have really made something out of that one. The Cardinals on third down. Six conversions in nine tries. They’ve done a great job of picking these up. This is third and eight. And this pass broken up, but the contact well timed there. And now fourth down. even without a ton of pressure in his face, it just shows how difficult it is to pick apart his own defense. Those guys are sitting back and they’re not playing receivers as much as they’re playing the eyes of the quarterback. And when he delivers the ball, O’Donnell, he’s on to punt as he gets this one away. officially just 27 yardds there on the punt and the Cowboys will take over the football with a first and 10. The Cowboys offense and Dak Prescott getting ready to go once more and this defense might be about ready to wave the white flag. Nothing they have tried to throw at him has been that successful. He just processes things so quickly and makes a right read seemingly every time. The Dallas offense here set to begin the drive. Their defense got the stop, forced the punt, and now you really start to monitor the clock as they nurse this slim lead. And this has been a recurring theme tonight for sure. Nowhere to run back to the line of scrimmage, that’s all. And for the defense, this is a spot where you don’t want to totally sell out to stop the run, but you do have a pretty good idea of what you’re going to see. And that’s good work right there to keep him in check on that first down carry. Play action now. Prescott over the middle. Hold in by Lamb and he has a big gain inside the 40 before being dropped. Last play they got stuffed at the line. Different story here. Over 20 yards. First and 10 at the 38 yd line. And these guys certainly are not hiding what their intention is. They’re absolutely showing it. They’re definitely not going to sit on this lead here in the fourth quarter. So here’s a first and 10 at the 38. Now Prescott got his man complete over the middle. That’s Ferguson. and all the way inside the 15 before they drop him. The catch and run good for 24 yds. These guys are running offense like you drive. The pedal is down. Stomp down. How about that? Backto back completions. They are rolling. So much for being conservative and running that football. Prescott and it’s caught. Yeah, the Cowboys are going to be set up with a first and goal on a pass play that moves him all the way down to the one. A nice job there putting the ball right in the doorstep of the goal line. Couldn’t quite get in to pay dirt, but he got awfully close. Let’s see if they can cash it in over the next couple of plays. So, first and goal. Six points here would go a long way toward wrapping this one up. Williams is not going to get in here as they push him back to the two yd line. That’s going to go as a loss of a yard and it’ll be second down. That’s a tough one right there. He ran right to the teeth of the blitz as the linebacker was freed up in order to stuff that one for a loss. I think quarterback’s got to see that. Got to find a way to audible into something a little more advantageous. [Applause] Williams again trying to find a lane but he finds nothing but defenders stopped for no gain at the two yd line. He got maybe a half yard at most but officially they’ll be left with a third and two. A lot of tired bodies on that field but this is a big play. Third and goal. He’ll drop to throw and this is caught for a Cowboy touchdown. Jake Ferguson a two yd touchdown grab and the Cowboys are able to build on to their fourth quarter lead. And Charles, they continue to have trouble stopping him as he’s into the end zone yet again. Yeah, that’s multiple series now that ended with him in the end zone. a perfect plan on how to utilize him best when they get in close. Aubrey now for the point after and his guys will take a 10-point lead. So that winds up a sevenplay drive all told and it’s capped off for the Cowboys touchdown. So after the touchdown, Aubrey now to kick this one away. [Applause] A nice little juke and a good effort on the return there. Gets him across the 30 up to the 33. The football back in the hands of the Arizona Cardinals and the script really is flipped for them. The momentum on the other sideline and now they have to try and battle back from a two-score deficit. [Applause] Murray and the Cardinals with a first and 10 at the 33 yd line. They’ll start this drive out on the ground and he is met at the line of scrimmage and he goes down right there. Javian Clowny there on the stop. His carries tonight, they’re getting up there. So maybe one of those every now and then is understandable. I would agree with that. Understandable every now and then. Sometimes you come back and you fake it to him and go play action. But other times you say, “Okay, they got him on that one. We’ll come back to him in another carry. intended for Amari de Marcado. Incomplete. Brings up a third down and 10 yds to go. They had the incomplete pass on second down. Now they need a big play here. Third and 10. Murray. Now they’ll try and set up the screen. It’s complete. And he’ll only get this to about the 35. well short of the line to gain. That’s going to bring up fourth down. Only a gain of two there. And that’s all about recognition right there because he’s got to go from pass rush mode to pursuit mode. What defensive line coaches like to call retracing. And he’s able to retreat and make the tackle for just a short gain. All right, they’re going to try and keep hope alive here on fourth down. They’re going for it now. Murray’s got to have this one. It’s complete. swings it out to his running back and he will be out of bounds well shy of the marker. So that’s a turnover on downs. Great job defensively. So they really needed points here in a two-score game. Could not come away with anything there on fourth. And while we know they’re a little bit a tough one for officials to get exactly right, not just because of how fast the game’s going, but just trying to get the right sight line to the football, that’s not always easy. We’ll see what they decide here. So they’ll come up first and 10 now from the 33. Now a toss left side. It’s Williams and they move this all the way down to the nine. 43 yds rushing for him now as he’s carried it 13 times. And the Cowboys first down. This defense, Charles, they have unraveled here in the fourth. In a sense, it’s like they’re being pressed like in a basketball game and they just can’t get the ball over half court. I mean, no matter what they do, they can’t get off the field. They can’t slow them down. They’re just going up and down the field against them. Yeah. Unraveling would be a perfect word for them. And he’ll take this from the nine down to about the seven. All of a sudden, those lanes that were there earlier in the drive dry up near the goal line. That’s a good job defensively to diagnose the run and stop it for a very short pickup. The line of scrimmage, the seven now on second and goal. Prescott. Now this will be caught at about the five. Had a minuscule gain of maybe a yard from the six to the five. Oh, it’s time to give a little credit there to the defense. They played that very well because it was a drag route and he ran a little shallower than normal as he worked straight across the field. He was hoping he’d get lost behind the defensive line, but once he made the catch, nowhere to turn up field and gain any yardage. Prescott on third and goal to the end zone, but it’s incomplete. They may be snapping the ball near the goal line, but all you’re thinking defensively, keep them out of the end zone. Force the incompletion, force adage going for three and not giving up six. So, the field goal unit is on the field as this is a big spot right here from the right hash here. Should be an easy one. and his kick is good. And that will extend their lead even further. So that maybe not a knockout blow, but I I suppose certainly every little bit helps when you’re trying to salt one away in the fourth. Well, the possibility of being beaten by two late touchdowns or at least sent to overtime does exist. But time definitely a big factor at this stage of the game is in their favor. So after the made field goal, back out is Aubrey to kick this away. And it’s a pretty good return here as he’ll get this up to the 29. The visitors offense and their running back getting set to go once more. And it’s hard to believe you could run the ball a whole lot better than he has. The vision, the cutback ability, the acceleration, it’s all been on display throughout. Ready to go with their next drive. And at the line, the Cardinal offense to throw. It’s Murray. And that would going to be off target. an incomplete. I think he could have scanned downfield forever, but there wasn’t anything available. Ends up throwing an incompletion and I think he’ll take that. An incomplete pass on first down. That leads to a second and 10. To throw is Murray now. Throw out wide going to be incomplete. A couple of quick incompletions and now they’re just one more away from getting off the field. They’ve got options now. Could they dial up a blitz here or just drop everyone into coverage to crowd the throwing lanes? The offense on third down tonight. They’ve converted six times and could use a seventh here. This is third and 10. Oh, it’s a screen pass that’s complete and he is going to lose yardage here. So that’ll go as a fouryd loss on the play and that’ll bring up fourth down. Well, plays like that, Charles, no doubt, they’re just going to continue to fuel this crowd. And this defense is already playing well, but it also feeds on the energy of that crowd that you’re talking about. And that takes them up to another level. Right now, they’re playing really loose. Now he’s loose again. And he is into the end zone. Touchdown Arizona. Marvin Harrison Jr. 75 yds and the Cardinals have made it a one-sore game again here in the fourth. [Applause] Ryland on for the extra point and the lead will shrink to six. A drive there of just four plays and it winds up at a touchdown for Arizona. [Applause] We got this. Back out is the kicker Ryland and he’ll send this one away. Off the play fake. Prescott throw left side complete. That’s Ferguson. And this defense here going to burn their second timeout. But you can also factor in another timeout that they’ll get when the clock stops at the two-minute warning. First down. First and 10 at the 40 yd line. And not totally home free yet, but it’s looking good as they come up first and 10. Off the draw, here’s Williams and able to steer clear of that first tackler as he works his way forward for about four. And now here comes the third of their timeouts defensively. So they’ll be left with only the two-minute warning to stop it from here on out. Now second and five. Now a first carry for their fullback. Yeah, maybe a little over pursuit there as he’s able to take this down to the 25 yd line. 11 and the Cowboys first down. First and 10 at the 25 yd line. Fourth quarter down to the final two minutes and we’ve got a one-sore game. So the Cowboys in possession of the football here as we get you reset. They’ve got a first and 10 as they look to try and finish this one off. [Applause] [Music] Second and 11. Prescott finding Tolbert here over the middle and he will have a Cowboys first down and that should be that. Doesn’t matter whether it’s a zone coverage or man coverage. The drag route can be effective when it’s run well at the 15 yd line. Prescott, he goes down to a knee and that should just about do it. [Applause] [Applause] Charles, normally when you see a group score this many points, it’s a complete blowout. But instead, they needed every single one of those in this close highscoring affair. And Brandon, I’m still on the edge of my seat after that one because when you have that much scoring and it still comes down to one possession game at the end, that’s not something we see very often. And in this case, these offenses, they brought it. The defenses, they’re going to need some work going forward. So, that’ll just about do it for Charles Davis. I’m Brandon Goden.
