The Toronto Maple Leafs are pleased to select from the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League, Natham Cadry. Thousand games in the NHL uh coming up Wednesday night. Uh just how are you feeling? How what’s the anticipation level like ahead of this one? Uh yeah, excited. Obviously very excited. A little anxious. Just kind of can’t wait to uh be out here and just uh you know do doing what we do. So, I think it’s, you know, there’s been a lot um that have that’s come along with it in terms of just getting everybody into town and um you know, everybody that’s uh that’s close to me has obviously come and watch the game. So, uh you know, hope hopefully put on a good show for him. I was going to ask you who’s here to come celebrate. Uh I got my sisters coming, my brother-in-laws, my parents, uh a few of my buddies. It’s Yeah, it’s uh it’s going to be a good gang for sure. Have you had a chance to kind of just think about the moments and just think about your career as a whole? And if so, who comes to mind when you think about how far you’ve come as an NHL player, as a hockey player, just as a person? It’s it’s hard to reflect right now, but obviously it’s, you know, you do a little bit of that. I think, you know, more so postgame is when I can really uh, you know, maybe throw my feet up and think about that. But, uh, um, obviously trying to get ready for the game and all the anticipation, I I’m just I’m I’m more focused on that. So, uh, I mean, for me though, family is is number one. Um, a lot of my difficult times I went through, they were, you know, they were there for me and, um, obviously as a kid introducing me to the to the game that that I love and just giving me the opportunity. So, they’re they’re they’re standouts for sure. And there’s going to be a lot of 91 jerseys in this building on Wednesday night, too, right? Uh, just the way the schedule’s worked out, the fact that it lands on a home game in front of the C red, what does that mean for you? Yeah, very cool. Very cool. Well, I mean, I always uh you know, that’s that’s definitely a good bounce. I didn’t want to be playing it on the road and um yeah, I think it would have been a little more complicated to set up. So, I’m very thankful that it kind of worked out that way and on a bit of a home stand and uh that way, you know, people can come and watch a you know, a game or two instead of uh bouncing around all over the place. So, I’m very very thankful to be playing in front of such great fans and um you know, trying to get a I know the Stanley Cup is going to come up as a career highlight and I’m sure you know that’s that’s pinnacle, right? But when you look at your career and I know you haven’t had a ton of time to reflect, but but what stands out over the previous 999 in terms of just the the experiences that you’ve gotten to be a part of and and gotten to share with those close. Yeah. Uh you know, I’ve been very fortunate. There’s been so many cool ones that that I could that I could throw up there. Obviously winning the Stanley Cup and that’s that’s uh above and beyond the rest. But um you know just playing in you know gold medal games uh game sevens uh you know playing in overtime in the Stanley Cup finals you know games like that I think you look back at and you know being a part of the biggest outdoor game in history um at the big house in Michigan. Uh that that was very cool that setting. Um, but just just things like that, you kind of look back and you you scroll through some old photos and and uh you know, just kind of have to pinch yourself to be like, you know, you lived that and you went through it. And it’s very uh very surreal and very cool to think about.
