Taylor Lewan Still Believes In Cam Ward, Titans Gotta Get Him Some Help! | TMZ Sports

Are you still in on Cam Ward? Oh, I I I don’t think I think anybody who takes the two-tone blue seriously and you look at the quarterback and you’re like, “That’s not the guy.” It’s like, “Brother, there are so many holes around this Titans team.” And I’m not even trying to be rude. Like, there’s just big gaping holes where you’re not a competitive team this year. And in order to figure out what you really have in Cam Ward, you have to put pieces around him that are going to show you, is Cam Ward going to be the guy? He’s shown flashes. He does a great job of escaping the pocket. He’s been been under a lot of duress this year. I think he’s taken the most sacks. If not, he’s in the top five category of taking the most sacks this year. Um, young receiving crew. Obviously, you have you have Ridley who got $90 million, but he’s had up and down a couple of injuries here and there. So, it’s going to take time and you need some continuity in the in the front office of that building. You know, you have you go through the cycle of having an AD, then you have a head coach, then you fire the AD, then you get then you get a new AD, then you fire, then it’s over and over and over again. There has to be from the top down some sort of organization to put the right pieces on the field. And so it starts with the ownership. How about in terms of he’s had a coaching change already. Is there is there a fit out there? Is there the right coach to bring in that can help develop him as the franchise quarterback? Yeah, I I think the Titans are an extremely unique franchise. They’re they’re the lowest medium market in the entire NFL, but they have a fan base that’s starving for a team that wants to be successful. My first couple of years, we were two and 14, then three and 13, and then all of a sudden nine and seven. We start making the playoffs. We’re the number one seed one year. We make it to the AFC Championship one year. So, the fan base is dying and wanting those types of things. So, you need a coach that’s going to come into this team that understands how this franchise works, understands how these this fan base ticks. And a lot of people that might criticize me for this, I think it’s Arthur Smith, who’s the OC at the Pittsburgh Steelers. He, you know, he obviously went to the Falcons. It didn’t go the way he wanted there. But a lot of these coaches their first time around don’t re don’t know what they don’t know. And I think Arthur Smith, you see him with the personality of Aaron Rogers. He goes into Pittsburgh. I think he’s had success. You see him marrying the run with the past, which is really what the Titans in the past has shown a lot of success in when it was Derrick Henry, Ryan Tanahill. And so I think that to me is the guy that you bring in that understands the culture, understands the franchise, and can get this place turned around the quickest.

Cam Ward’s first NFL season hasn’t really gone his way … but former Tennessee Titan Taylor Lewan hasn’t lost faith in the signal-caller — telling TMZ Sports if he is going to succeed, ownership needs to stabilize the team!!
