Chiefs Kingdom. Some frustrating news during the buy from Adam Shfter. Shfter reporting this morning that the Chiefs had trade discussions with Seattle that were very far along around edge defender Boyet Maf. These are apparently pretty lastminute discussions, but they got to a point that sources actually reported to Chev that the deal was completed and that Maf was on his way to Kansas City, but it ultimately turned out to not be true. Seattle backed out at the last minute deciding to keep Maf. Seems like Vch made a really strong push here. Seems like the offer strength was not the issue. It just seems like Seattle reconsidered the idea of trading Maf at the last minute. So, this isn’t one that we can hold against VH, but it is extremely frustrating that we had a deal in place to get an edge defender who would have been a big upgrade. Maf is a great player if you’re not familiar and it ultimately falls through because of Seattle’s reluctance to deal him.
